I wanna transition into sleeping on the floor at some point. Japanese style. I have no idea 🤷♂️

« This list alone is easily worth 1000$ »
No it’s not. The underground artists Leo put on there probably don’t even make that much off royalties for making the damn music lol.
The real 1000$ value is in doing what Leo did & making your own playlist. There’s more amazing music in the world than you would ever have time to listen to & everyone resonates with different stuff.
Thank you for sharing Leo, I do appreciate it a lot but it’s definitely not worth 1000$.

I am being petty here but I had to call you out😘 -

Canada is not a real country, it has no history and basically no cultural, religious or linguistic particularities (apart from Quebec).
It is the Belgium of North America.
Yeah it’s a pretty new country. Quebec too, we just bastardized your culture lol. It’s good to live here though.
Can’t say I would be thrilled with having that kind of moron as representative of my people.

In my mind, if you're thinking about hitting a certain number it's the wrong approach. Do it because you love it. Although it's clear that there are important Awakenings that only happen as you get more trips under your belt. It's called tripping for a reason, the more you trip the further you travel.
I am with you there.
They ask “why do you trip?”
I answer “I trip because I trip!” -

It's like saying what is the shape of a human? Do we consider the hair strands at that milisecond of time? Do we consider the position of muscle, fat tissue, jiggling parts
Well you’ve got your answer. If you were to take into account every single detail that makes up a shape you couldn’t call it any kinda shape anymore. Life is too complicated to fit inside our square ways of conceptualizing it. There is no such thing as a sphere in all of existence. You can kept zooming in & find imperfections in the edges. But at some point it’s « close enough ».
We have a saying in jazz culture that goes « good enough for jazz » when talking about tuning. Perfect tuning is impossible but we can get so close that it stops mattering.
So the earth is close enough to be a sphere. Casually speaking, it’s a sphere. Even though it’s not.
(Your belief of it is a sphere. Your mental image of it is a sphere, anyways)

To my surprise, I fell asleep at 7:30 PM, when I woke up it was 2:50AM and I felt energized, but I felt like I could sleep again, so just after 2 minutes, I closed my eyes again and it was 7:30AM.
I slept for a good 12 hours. After which, at 10AM, I took another nap for 2 hours. I think my body really needs the sleep right now due to the stress. I had dreams for the first time in the last few months and a bunch of them were nightmares. I was in fact loudly mumbling the screams from my dream, my father had to comfort me.
What I have learnt is that sleep is very important. Neglect it and it's not just the physical aspect of your being that'll suffer. I am feeling sleepy right now too, I am heading off.
I can relate. Last week my semester ended & the next 3days I was sleeping 11hrs plus 2hrs nap in the afternoon. I didn’t even notice how sleep deprived I was.
Last night I was swimming & being chased by a scary shark the whole time. Vivid swinging back of the pendulum.

Wait her rational is « Make a better world with only women »? How can she not see that that is literally impossible? Killing all men is the exact same as killing everyone. Just delayed for women.

I was contemplating this in the shower. The ocean came to mind. If you ask anyone if the ocean is finite or infinite they are going to tell you it’s finite of course. The earth is a limited system( a ball ) so the ocean circles back around & has a definite border to it.
It’s obvious to me that all of that is a story I am constructing in my own mind because of what other people have told me. I put myself in front of the ocean & I can’t find an end to it. For all I know it stretches to infinity. The horizon is the asymptote. A line that is approached but never reached.
I found that to be true with being in tune. Singing in tune. When you think you are in tune, you can be more in tune. Ever approaching the asymptote but never getting there.
It echoes with my psychedelic trips. It’s more total & more total forever.
Are we ever going to reach the asymptote? Is it possible? Form seems to always be incomplete. Psychedelic trips one up themselves every time. Is there even such a thing as completeness?
I heard plenty of people say it is possible. Spiritual characters say that. One of you is probably going to say that right now.
-
It’s impossible the master music. There’s no end to it. Some folks are very close to the asymptote though. This guy sounds fantastic.

I think you are overlooking the obvious. It’s a game. It’s fun. People play games for fun.

Edible is the only valid way to consume it😝
The problem with weed is it’s too much fun. It’s too pleasurable. And pretty much the safest drug you could take, physically. Which is why it’s so easy to get addicted to.
It’s a great substance but to me it’s not even close to a psychedelic. I need courage to take a psychedelic whereas weed is coping.
If you don’t get addicted you could get value for introspection & slowed down emotional processing. It’s a slippery slope tho. You’ve been warned.
Mushrooms for instance will put your bullshit front & centre & force you to look at it. They’ll reward you after the processing is done lol. Weed will cuddle you & reveal as much as you are willing to take. If you’re anything like me, anyways. Which means that if you are not willing to face yourself you won’t. Hence all the addicted, underdeveloped potheads.

Get yourself a dehydrator!
I’ve had one for years for reasons that I will remain nebulous about but I figured out lately that it’s perfect for food on the go.
I mean jerky. I make fish, shrimp & scallops jerky. It fabulous! I throw that in my bag along with an apple, a handful of nuts & a bottle of water! Boom! Convenient, tasty & nutritious food for busy days that don’t require ice or reheating.
I love it.

Mushrooms are hard to dose. Unless you grow them you are basically gambling. Which is why I always tell newbies to blend their batch & test with 0,5 to 1g a week or two before the actual trip to gauge what dose would be enough for a breakthrough experience.
I’ve had heroic experiences with as little as 3,5g.
I’ve also had 6g that weren’t breakthroughs.

Reach out to people IRL that can emotionally support you. This forum is too far removed from your lived experience.

I've spent the last 5 years studying trauma healing techniques and trying to heal myself without psychedelics, and none of it worked. If psychedelics are meant to give me glimpses of what's possible so I can work towards it sober, then I'm just back in the same situation as before.
If I have to play the long game even now at this point, when I'm absolutely at my wits end, I'd rather just be dead.
I get it, but if there is a healthy life free of this pain out there, will it really be accessible while eating junk, stagnating(literally not moving) & indulging in a wide variety of coping mechanisms? We all need coping to some extent but you are overlooking the principle of right action.
The actions which would create the state you want to inhabit need to be taken for that state to manifest. Now it seems to me you are putting the state before the action. You are thinking that your state prevents action.
It’s a process. And it’s difficult. But what else are you going to do? Chip away at it slowly. Always keep the basics in mind because a life without them is never going to fix itself.
edit: wrong quote don’t mind it.
-
That’s a great question. What do you do? On a day to day basis? What actions are you taking in your life? What about the basics? Do you get good sleep & move plenty? Do you eat fresh? Do you drink clean water?
Psychedelics aren’t going to do the basics for you.
Break a sweat every day is my two cents. I am sure your situation is more complicated but try to simplify as best you can.
Build a healthy character before going on trying to obliterate it with psychedelics. You build a healthy character by acting on the basics every day.
Basics. Simplify. What can you do right now? You are asking the right question.

Pretty authentic for a dirty Gen Z postmodernist, though lately, I’ve been really into ambient music like Tim Hecker and William Basinski.
But Tidal gives better recommendations on top of giving the masters. You are winning here buddy.

Two monitors doesn’t mean multitasking. Some tasks just require extra real estate. If you use it to open YouTube on the side than yeah it’s distracting. Ultimately you create your own distraction independent of the number of monitors you have.

Hey, that's super cool! I'll be one for christmas
I was seriously considering buying ones. Any recommendation?
Here are my favourite exercises to do with the Swiss ball:
-Lay on your back starting at the shoulders. Spread yourself as wide as possible. Rotate those shoulders until they are loose & then work your way down the spine to the hips. You can move side to side to really loosen up the spine & hips. What’s great about this is you can isolate lower, middle & upper spine by placing the ball under the spine where there is tension.
-Sit on the ball & make circles or figure 8 with your hips.
-Stand on one leg, put your other on on the ball fully extended & roll the ball from side to side with your leg within your full range of motion. Great balance exercise.
-Lay on your lower belly while keeping your core engaged & bring your arms up by squeezing your back & hold for as long as possible. Great body weight back exercise.
« How to eat, move & be healthy » by Paul Chek has a bunch of Swiss ball exercises in it.

The rope is fantastic. The way it makes your spine move translates into & upgrades almost every physical movement especially walking.~
I gotta issue a warning about barefoot shoes. It’s not an overnight improvement. It’s training. If you’re used to having your feet squished in a normal shoe it’s going to feel very weird at first. Don’t overdo it. There’s a very real risk of injury. Don’t bite off more than you can chew. You’re walking mechanics are going to slowly move from heel strike to more of a midfoot strike. You’ll have to rewire your brain to lower your foot gently on the ground & use the spring of your feet to propel yourself forward. Normal shoes return a lot of the force you use when walking. Barefoot shoes provide none of that. Your feet & calves are what absorb & return the energy. Think of your feet as tripods with spread toes. You can use toes spreaders at home to help stretch & reposition them in a more natural alignment. They are pretty cheap on Amazon. At first I couldn’t wear them for 10min with my toes hurting. Now I can wear them all day if I want to.I am wearing Vivobearfoot. It’s the only brand I tried so far and I like them.

- Swiss ball

Flow rope
- Barefoot shoes
I use those every day of my life. I discovered the rope recently & I am obsessed. It’s the kind of exercise that leaves you with more energy than before the practice. So fun.
I’ve been wearing the barefoot shoes for 6months & my mobility is so much better than before. My toes have spread & my feet are way stronger. I feel handicapped wearing normal shoes now.The vast majority of the shoe industry is a trap. -

I was hoping you’d get into it a bit more? What happened? What chemical? What dose? What was your subjective experience? Any lesson? Any value in doing?

I took LSD 3 days in a row on a festival and I had to double my dose each day to have the same effects. Mushrooms are very similar, but that's for macrodoses. Microdoses may be different.
What was it like to trip for so long?

Yes, watching those little guys magically come out of the substrate while tripping is pretty awesome!
