  1. So you have been trying this for years, may I ask you about the outcome? or you are still in process?
  2. Thank you, Khin for you response. That is a good way to practice it, I guess I will try doing so. Maybe we should accept our bodies as they are, why do you call it "dirty"? It is just a body, though . IMHO, I am suffering because of my mind, right? Body is just there.
  3. @Kelley White Thank you, Kelley, I will watch you video on the weekend, I promise
  4. @Costa "because we know that the world extends beyond our perception" - we do not know this, that is the point.
  5. Dear FindingPeace, thank you for your feedback, what do you think about Quantum Mechanics though? I watched and read about some breakthroughs made in this area, and I was stunned how much they go in sync with Buddhism. Only now scientific world is discovering something that was well known by people long time ago. I will need to upload some videos here. Let me quote something here that I am contemplating right now: C=hf “As De Broglie’s equations apply to all matter, we can fundamentally establish that C equals HF, where C stand for consciousness, H for the constant of Planck, and F for frequency. C is responsible for what we experience as the now, a quantized or minimum unit of an interaction. The sum of all moments C up to the current moment is what shapes our concept of life”. As far as I understand this, there is no, so called past at all, just an illusion. Reality is always a new born of Now. What is memory? Illusion? What is hard for me to understand is how come that we have a linear perception of time? If this reality just popped up right now, just right now, with the illusion of the past and future, of course, then there is nothing left at all, just this current moment. But how does the shift happen? That is what I wonder. The shift from existence to non-existence? Because if there is always Now.....well I can not grasp this, now is WHAT IT IS, my mind wants to create something beyond now. Also is there such thing as non-existence? Lots of sources say that non-existence does not exist. Talking about it makes me trapped. I want to move, but there is certain feeling that I am enclosed in the moment of Now, like sitting in the jar without any ability to come outside. You can not really break the glass. That is making "me" small. Thank you .
  6. "the best way to work for enlightenment is being in present moment and noticing reality." Well, I try to notice the Reality and try to be in the present moment, and? Means, I do something wrong if not Enlightened yet? Something tells me it is not enough to get a full Enlightenment. Am I wrong?
  7. But can we really separate Reality from observer? @Costa I do not think so....Reality does not exist without observer.
  8. @Abby Skvarce Hey, Abby, maybe you have to slow down a little bit. Probably you are overexcited right now. Anyway, just let the dialog play and do not pay too much attention on it. Do not react on your thoughts as they are just thoughts.
  9. @Neo I do not really think so, Neo. But you could add observation to that and be conscious about about your daydreaming, that might change everything. Just observe yourself and your daydreaming.
  10. Guys , Think about it, if you really stuck with something in your life, if you need a solution OR way out..... maybe you should allow some random choice to decide. I mean if You are a freaking illusion, why not play it? why not let things happen? what are we loosing here? Why making a drama? At the end we are going to die anyway. How can we take things really seriously? what is the most serious Thing in our lives? Reading the "Dice Man" right now by Luke Rhinehart. Pondering.....Sounds crazy, but he has his own Truth in this approach. Definitely we can all be more productive when we let the things happen and relax, accept the Reality as it is!
  11. @Costa No problem at all . I understand how hard it is to actually carry the meaning and even harder to understand what stands behind it. So we're good here :). Thank you for your concern and participation in my discussion!
  12. @Philip @Philip Yeah Phillip, I feel you here, your pain and your joy. Sometimes I spend days and nights trying to give a birth to another theory, it is like being in labor, your mind trying so hard to push, but nothing comes out, right? Here is what we should understand, we can not invent something new in this field. So many people through the whole mankind history said so many things about Reality. We have to relax and observe Reality as is. But forcing hard, you will not get new insights or inspiration, it will only create tension and frustration. I love this book : Stephen Wolinsky "You Are Not: Beyond the Three Veils of Consciousness" I would recommend to read, because he did a great job in describing how consciousness appears. I read it in 2009 and it blew my mind.
  13. @Costa It would not be the authentic knowledge, it would be coercion to follow some belief. Authentic Knowledge is when you got direct experience, but not when you support the theory because your Ego likes it. At this point it is hard for me to accept that "I" do not exist. I do believe that it does not, please understand me, but I have not had a chance to experience it!!!
  14. @Philip Hey Phillip, first of all, thank you for your feedback. I am not claiming here that other people DO NOT exist, what is really interesting for me is to grasp the Nature of Reality! Since Reality encapsulate people, all matter and an integral part of Consciousness (which is for majority of people is unexplored territory) basically, everything that outside your inner perception should be read as a faulty condition, as YOU, as an entity, can not verify it, unless you are Enlightened! As famous expression goes: " I am in the world, or world is in Me" Totally agree with the need for Introspection. Thank you for the video, watched very similar video 2-3 weeks ago about DMT. This subject is very hard, because to know the fundamental Truth you have to separate the Observer and Observation. The famous slot experiment says that the fact of observation changing the outcome.. What if consciousness isn't consciousness ? - very nice question, so next level question, something really DOES exist, even if it is not consciousness. Something really DOES and the fact that reality exist is a miracle. What would it change if we call it differently? You will wake up tomorrow and have your coffee, or at least will have illusion of having a coffee. But the fact that we will have both: coffee and something else is a proof for me that Something really IS. Otherwise we would not have this conversation.
  15. @jjer94 I feel so much respect to young people like this. I liked the way you described it here. Thank you!!!!!
  16. @Costa "But, when Leo or others say we are an illusion, they also mean that your opinion about the dice is an illusion"- I know this, dear Costa. But knowing this and truly accepting it is two different things.
  17. @Kelley White Kelley, thank you for being so sweet . It is greatly appreciated. I am happy to be here, really, I need people who think alike. I am trying to observe myself and others, reality, things around me, but something is holding me back from regular meditation. With all this being sad I feel like I more talking about this than doing real work.
  18. "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People" by Stephen Covey . I remember Leo gave a good comment about this book as well Also you can buy book list from Leo for 25$, ask your parents to help you with payment. Here is the link http://actualized.org/books Actually there are tons of books you can find on the internet. I only have Russian websites I use for downloading, and my online library from my college here in USA. I do not know any websites to give you with free downloading " In my opinion Stockholm is quite a big city, but still is a lovely place to live with the nature. I suppose it's all about perspective" Compared to other capitals I visited ( +50 different countries including your neighbors Finland and Norway) I found it peaceful.
  19. @vizual You still are assuming that you have a free will here
  20. "@Natasha Surrendering to just being IT" it is not easy but more painful process.
  21. Hello I eat five times a day, small portions, trying to avoid sugar, only weekends. I do not eat bread.
  22. Dear Reez, That is a great thing to ask all these questions when you are sixteen, at least you are on the right track and aware of the situation. You live in a wonderful country and I am sure you have all the chances to succeed in life. I was in Sweden in Helsingborg and Stockholm and found it very peaceful place to live. I would recommend to buy Leo's Life Ultimate Purpose course. http://actualized.org/life-purpose-course Time is precious and as my mama always told to me when I was a teen: " You will be x y.o.in the blink of an eye, so you do not have that many years to fool around." I am 29 and pursuing my second degree here in USA. One of my biggest fear is not to be able to complete everything I am dreaming about. Leo has so many videos about motivation, education, life purpose. Go ahead and knock them down first, buy a course, do some work. I would recommend to read more motivational books and seek inspiration from successful people. Also re-arrange your social background, look closely who you communicate with. Your environment impacts you. If you can afford, go talk to a coach. Being sixteen is cool, the whole life is in front if you. You are the creator now. Remember you have only one life and will not be sixteen again. Good luck
  23. @99th_monkey Maybe the only way is really start practicing? "Mental masturbation" does not really serve any good for us.
  24. @Jawor "Okay, I can say "I don't really know".. How do you know, then? Why are you so sure?" I am not sure. I do not have this Experience yet. Talking about it and sharing views is not going to help anyway. what you're trying to do here is to trigger an argument so then people start convincing you that Enlightenment does exist. But what words do you need to hear to believe them? Words is Nothing. Really! How do you know that pain exist?
  25. @Locooig Sorry, no offense here. Definitely it is not all about me!
