  1. Nothing is beyond the unimaginable. Nothing is the ultimate limiter. Consciousness is nothing. Infinity is nothing. God is nothing. Truth is nothing. It’s all nothing. Edit: i can’t directly experience nothing so nothing is belief. Ta-da everything is belief! Even direct experience! In reality there is nothing but belief!
  2. I don’t know. All I have to guide me on this is belief.
  3. Isn’t the present moment direct experience? Aren’t you basically saying direct experience is belief?
  4. If everything is consciousness, shouldn’t it be like dreaming? When dreaming, everything is random and things have different meanings from real life. Dreams are inconsistent and backwards. If reality is consciousness, shouldn’t it be random like dreams? Why is it consistent?
  5. What is thought? How would you define thought? What distinction is there that is thought?
  6. Anything anyone can say about death and what comes after it is imaginary
  7. I think I’m confusing thought with form. Form is prior to thought, consciousness is prior to form... you can have awareness with form, seeing the table as a table is form, but not thought. Thought is thinking, it can be wordless thinking, but form is still different from that. i wonder how many people in this board understand that thought can be wordless.
  8. Is the table thought? Is labeling thought? Or is the limit of thought to thinking only? What draws the line of what is thought and what isn’t thought? Can direct experience be tainted with thought? Is labeling and naming a subset of awareness or a subset of thought?
  9. Everything is me. My thoughts are me. My feelings are me. My direct experience is me. The chair is me. The wood and water are me. The body and mind are me. Separation is me. Objects are me. The breath is me. Everything. Me. I am everything.
  10. You can be unstable and still feel love. Love isn’t a cure-all
  11. This is tricky because awareness is not necessarily without thought imbued with it. When I am aware of the door I think it is a door.
  12. If this were enlightenment , I’d be enlightened. Realizing consciousness is easy.
  13. What is there? Formlessness? Isn’t the lack of distinction only going to result in my pain as I walk into it?
  14. It’s hard for me to get my mind around emptiness, meaningless, formless... I don’t know what I’m looking for.
  15. If non-duality, then I am everything, including my thoughts and feelings. My body and life. This self is me. Sure I’m not only this self, I am the god self, but these experiences of the limited self are still me. It may be an illusion but the illusion is the limitation, not the substance. If I feel compelled to interact with the limited world I’m following truth. All this that is “mine” is important to the world as it unfolds. I should be taking care of this self, bound to this world. Transcending limitation is just that- transcending the limited perspective. But before and after enlightenment, chop wood carry water. If I choose to self-actualize without transcending the ego, then that is fine. I don’t think I’ll have an enlightening experience in my life. I’m too closed-minded. and if god is everything, the external world exists. it’s solid and there. it’s persistent. it may all be consciousness but it will persist even when my attention wanes. The rock has consciousness separate from my own, and because of that the rock remains when I look away.
  16. @electroBeam everything changes. All the time. Enlightenment changes you. You are different before from after.
  17. @The Don passivity is not the end of the world. Being passive is quite enlightened in fact. I’d say you should be passive more often then not. Acceptance of what is.
  18. @bejapuskas There is a lot more proof that I’m human than there is proof that I’m god. Even so, it’s just a belief either way. @Someone here I am that I am.
  19. It seems to me a lot of people on this forum think they’ve awakened and have the answers to all of life’s questions.
  20. So we can answer op’s question by saying he is not god, since no belief captures god’s essence
  21. @Someone here what is god then? Since this thread is about god, it seems it needs clarification.
  22. Isn’t god exactly that which becomes human? It seems he would anthropomorphize quite well
  23. I’ve been doing mantra meditation but I wanna become enlightened or at least give me a chance of it. How should I meditate, daily, if I want a transcendental experience? Does it matter?
  24. The perceiver and the perceived are the same thing. To perceive is to be perceived. Perception is an illusion of separation. Everything is nothing. There is as much to do about it as there is todo about your ego. To transcend
