  1. I'll tell you this much, don't believe everyone.
  2. I believe in it. Any ounce of doubt, it won't work as far as expecting good things. Bad thoughts tend to manifest quicker. It's easier because there's so much dark matter in the universe. That's my theory by the way.
  3. If you doubt yourself, they won't work.
  4. Without courage, you cannot face fear. Fear will never go away. Courage is your only solution.
  5. This sounds narcissistic. I recommend watching Leo's videos about this particular topic. Read books on this matter, too.
  6. I use mnemonics to remember words.
  7. I'm from the Bronx, NY. I was born to naturally dress fly.
  8. I don't believe in astrology. But I am a Scorpio. I don't know what that means but yeah I don't believe in horoscopes etc.
  9. This is really interesting. I'm really blind to this topic.. Any suggested books to learn the fundamentals about this particular topic? I need to learn it.
  10. @MelanieWalker read this in its entirety. Wow. It's crazy.. I'm the same way. Seriously. Not 100% but I am. I feel alone in this world, too. No one at my job understands me, I get furious watching fat people on the train eat their life away, kids spending their money on Jordan's every weekend. There's more.. I teach my coworkers to save their money and stop frivolous spending but they don't. The list goes on. im very passionate about self-development and money mastery, but no one around me is on my level. They don't think like me. They're more concerned about Instagram and Worldstar. They care about Kim Kardasian's new emoji app over a good classical book. But... I'm learning. Right now I'm reading the book, "How to Win Friends and Influence People" By Dale Carnigie. It's teaching me so many fundamentals. I've learned not to judge or criticize but to judge and criticize yourself first. I've learned that if you teach a man, he can't do things on his own. He needs to learn on his own. Like Benjamin Franklin says "I will speak ill of no man". And a whole bunch more. Dale talks about instead of trying to change others, work on improving yourself first. Like Confucius said, "don't complain about the snow on your neighbors roof, when your own doorstep is unclean." So yeah, I think the key is to be understanding and accepting. Don't feel so disdained at the world, try to understand it and be more accepting. It's working for me and I'm a happier person. It's like magic. Be yourself. It takes character and self control to be understanding and forgiving. Speak about the good things you see in people. For example, on the train, I see that people are grateful to afford an iPhone enjoying a nice game of subway surfers. It makes me happy and grateful that Steve jobs created a tool to bring joy to everyone. It's all perspective... I look at things in a positive way. You might not understand be but don't worry, you're a smart person. I suggest to get the book and follow it.
  11. NLP = Neuro Linguistic Programming. It's psychology. My only suggestion is this: reject rejection. There's something better out there for you. Learn to reject rejection. It'll make you a happier person. If you want more in depth info on how to reject rejection, read the success principles by jack Canfield.
  12. No problem. It's your shallow breaths that were causing discomfort. Read this link to help practice your breathing: http://www.anxietycoach.com/breathingexercise.html it worked for me.
  13. I'm addicted to Pokemon showdown. Today is March 1st and I'm challenging myself to not play this whole month; I'm creating a new habit for myself. The way I'm avoiding this... I posted a picture of a homeless drug addict on my wall. If I continue to play games mindlessly, I'll end up like that guy on my wall in the near future. So, I'm associating as much pain as possible to Pokemon Showdown. It's very challenging but discipline is important. But yeah... That's working for me... Associate so much pain with that addiction and eventually your brain is going to refuse it and find new forms of pleasure. Be careful tho. Right now my new hobby is studying human relations. I need accountability partners. Good luck everyone.
  14. Breathing is very important when doing anything: meditation, exercising, jogging, giving birth, etc. breathe from your diaphragm "belly breaths." inhale through your nose, hold, then exhale through your mouth. When you're inhaling, push your tummy in. On the exhale, release the tummy outward. In short, mindfulness of the breath is significant.
  15. Any advice, recommendations, or suggestions? Thank you.
  16. This is interesting stuff. I admit I don't quite understand it but nonetheless an interesting topic.
  17. I still don't know lol. Like one time, when I accidentally cut my palm open running in the gym, I felt the blood and surging pain. My bone sticking out, the nerves and neuro pathways in my brain electrifying throughout. Everything is intertwined - physically. Oh... Then when the operated on my hand and gave me stitches. The morphine, and numbing medicine. I could still feel the doctor stitching my palm back together. Now that I'm thinking about all this "non-existent" thing, the only time I don't feel like I exist is through nirvana.
  18. You want change. You know what you want but you're stuck. Like a fly in a closed room. He looks for a way out and sees the window. He heads for the window to only find himself stuck there for hours hitting the window over and over again. You need a new approach. Find a new exit. Ask yourself questions that empower you. For example, how would my life be better, how is the effecting me emotionally, physically, financially, spiritually?
  19. @Sarah_Flagg The differences between comfort and pleasure Comfort causes you to feel less worried, upset, frightened. For example: You feel comfort when your son is safe asleep. You feel comfort when the bills are paid in full. You feel comfort when the plane has landed safely, etc. Pleasure causes satisfaction, a feeling of enjoyment, or something that causes a feeling of happiness. For example: You feel satisfied eating a box of chocolates. You feel enjoyment when you're acting silly with your dog. You feel happy when your watching a comedy stand up. In short, comfort brings you less worry. Pleasure gives you excitement, joy, love, and happiness. P.S. However, too much pleasure can be a bad thing. But I digress.
  20. Seek what gives you the most pleasure. Transfer from pain to pleasure. Your brain can't refuse it.
  21. This is great man. Thank you. I have an athletic build but I'm slim. I'm trying to gain a little more muscle and look toned. My WHY is to look good and enhance my handsomeness. Nothing more nothing less. I just don't know where to start. I was thinking of purchasing a push up bar at wal mart and starting off that way. Maybe some Dumbbells and eating a lot. Any advice? I'm focusing on my arms and chest. I weigh 150 pounds.
  22. My best suggestion is to seek professional help if it's something that's truly bothering you. Search up some licensed professionals on Google. sorry if that's minor information but I'm trying my best to help you out.
  23. I see what you mean. I like to believe that ego is a good thing tho.
  24. Take it one day at a time. Work hard, play hard.
  25. I don't understand the logic behind "I don't exist". You hit your foot on a rock, you feel it! The only time you don't exist is when you're dead. I don't intend to offend anyone but I disagree with this whole non-existent thing. Its black and white thinking IMO, and can be delusional. All in all, it's extreme ideology.
