Does leo ban you for revealing a book among a few hundreds in his list?
-
@ValiantSalvatore What's Leo's book? What is the article written by Scott Young? Any other specific recommendations?
-
Can you trust anything you are not aware of or anything you don't know? You can only trust something if you can bring it to your attention.
-
I think awareness of direct experience is a different matter. Everyone has direct experience at every moment.
-
You don't know sexual deprivation until you have lived my life.
-
Improper perception is also direct experience. Keen perception is another matter.
-
Leo said that your five senses are actually direct experiences. Your perception is direct experience. He also said you are your perception, your thoughts, your emotions, and everything in your consciousness. I think you confuse objective physical reality with direct experience. Even if you are actually in an objective physical reality, all you have is a virtual reality created in your brain. A virtual reality is but a dream. That virtual reality is you and also direct experience.

For most self-help books, I don't need to look up dictionaries for 99~99.5% of the time. So, vocabulary is not slowing me down. I think I know more than 12,000 english words. Elite english readers know 30,000~40,000 words, most of which are names for various concrete things such as letticework. When I don't read novels written by elite english writers, I usually don't find myself looking up english dictionaries. Most self-help books are written in easy english, so grammar comprehension is not a problem, either. If grammar and vocabulary are both comprehensible, what is slowing me down? Perhaps, the urge to understand every single word perfectly is slowing me down?

People claim they have birthright to citizenship, basic human rights, and equality. Most people are taught to take those rights as birthrights for granted. That's similar to aristocrats taking their inheritance for granted. I have ideals. But, I don't take ideals for granted. I want basic freedom and basic access to resources that I need to create what I want to create. I want it for others, but I don't believe that I am selfless enough to sacrifice myself in order to free others. I know that the desire to free others from oppression stems from my selfishness. I dislike oppression, and I don't want it to have power over others because I dislike it. That's selfish. Take nothing for granted. You can still strive for ideals. Let me rant a bit about Spiral Dynamics stage, Green. I think equality is somewhat ridiculous. People who make the most noise about equality are often the type of people who would talk about owning slaves for themselves. I still see people who talk about equality and owning slaves on the internet. They fool themselves into thinking that they are equal to their slaves. People who do not understand equality make the most noise about equality for themselves. People who made the most noise about human rights were often racists and slave owners. Properly integrating Green is difficult. If you integrate tier 1 of Spiral Dynamics poorly, you could deceive yourself by turning all ideals into gambits for your own benefits. True Green is about helping others and other groups and other species, not helping only yourself or your group or your species. Green can easily become a tool for devils to fool themselves into believing they are angels. Find ways to help your species and all sentient creatures like cats, cows, pigs, lions, and the richest people on this planet. There's a giant discrepancy between what people say they want, what they actually want, and what they actually need. For example, people say they want equality. They actually want superiority and slaves. They actually need basic freedom and basic access to resources. I'm starting to think that people actually want or need more or less equal access to basic resources and basic freedom.

Unlocking your potential in your career is a kind of spirituality. Spirituality is bigger than career, but they are not separate. I think it's a duality.

Are all the possible gameplay sessions coded in GTA 5 at once?

Have you seen one? -
Perhaps, you should choose one thing to focus on and achieve. You become more spiritual by unlocking your potential as a human being. Throw away that which is not necessary. Focus is more important as you get older.

I think that's called clarity. -

I haven't collapsed that duality, yet. -
When I die, my consciousness is supposed to haunt another body. I can say that we have a shared soul. If that's true, then there is no difference between life and afterlife because I'm already living an afterlife. I just don't have memory of my previous lives. Oh my god, I'm already a ghost living an afterlife! Another duality collapsed. Will there be an afterlife after death? Yes, you are living one. The spiritual realm and the material realm are one and the same, too, because we are already spirits. The sad truth is that I used to think the material realm as the ultimate meat grinder for every biological creature. Now, the spiritual realm and the material realm are one and the same. There is no escape from the grand meat grinder. Hail the grand meat grinder. Hail the grand eraser.

I think leo meant you need to live 10 times the average lifespan of a person to reach the same level as sadhguru. If a person's average lifespan is 100 years, you should live 1000 years without dying to reach the level of sadhguru. If you forget everything, living 10 lives may not be enough. That would mean 10% of the population reach the level of sadhguru. 1 out of 10 people. You would have to go through a million or a billion cycles of life and death to reach the level of sadhguru. -

Maybe, there was no first. -

According to Leo, the universe is already heaven to God. To devils, the universe is a hell and a meat grinder where they can die. I can think of myself as an afterlife of an individual. Non-duality includes duality. I can make distinctions. Maybe, afterlife and beforelife are one and the same, too. -

I don't understand. What do you mean by an individuality? -
CreamCat replied to CreamCat's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
You may have to develop advanced technologies or techniques to do so. -

The consciousness is indestructible. The memory is not. Think about amnesia. The soul is the consciousness. -

"A ghost" is more punchy to the ego. It's flavor. -
Do you have different ideas about god?

We use clock time to coordinate events and schedule our days. There can be better ways, but we haven't discovered better ways, yet.
