  1. No, nothing to do with recent events. I think it was gangviolence if I'm not mistaken. What is hate speech exactly?
  2. The line is very fine. A few weeks ago I read about a 75 year old lady, here in sweden, who wrote on social media something along the lines:"those savages should be sent back to the desert" refering to middle eastern immigrants. She was fined about 1000 dollars. Right or wrong?
  3. I don't think so. We are headed towards strong right-wing conservative turn in the 2020s. A reaction to too much green WAY too fast. Sweden is far more ignorant than the rest of Scandinavia when it comes to drugs.
  4. Amazing! US is really setting a great example for the rest of the world towards a humane drug policy. We in Sweden are unfortunate still in the dark ages. We have the highest drug related death rate in the Eu. The Ministry of health advised the government to do an investigation of current drug policy but the Social Democratic government refused with the reply: "we don't wont to send the wrong signals to our youth, so that they will think it's ok to do drug". Truely sad, But great job Oregon!
  5. @Carl-Richard That's a very good point! More knowledge of history is still very useful, or rather integration of knowledge.
  6. There us one category that I find really lacks in this forum. A lot of political discussions here but they are very rarely rooted in history, as a result they become very shallow and superficial so to speak. To get a firm grip on our contemporary time, history is extremely useful. And especially from an integral perspective. Here are some categories I feel lacking and would be amazing to have a seperate sub category for. History *Historical periods(romance, enlightenment, midevil etc.) *History of art(film, music, paintings, literature etc.) * Wars *Revolutions(american, french, industrial etc.) * History of religion (abrahamic, pagan, norse mythology, eastern mythology, african nature religions, germanic mythology, ancient mythology) * Ancient civilizations * History of culture and cultural development * Historical development of culture from a climate zone perspective (tropical, desert, polar, mediterranean etc) * History of ideological development(democracy, feminism, capitalism, etc)
  7. I think they are both ahistorical. Not any concrete examples, it's more about the relationship to history. It's held as beliefs rather than an integral part of contemporary times.
  8. I've seen alot of that in sweden as well, where the workers have shifted from the labor party to the nationalist party. And upper middle class is new left. Social justice warriors, lgtbq, enviromentalists etc. are all from the upper middle class. The political map is being redrawn in afundamental way. Very confusing.
  9. That was kind of the point with this post, to see if other are interested as well. If so, I think it would be useful to have a seperate history category where these topics can be discussed more consciously. Especially since this forum is dominated by something I would call rootless green. That's why the discussions in Society thread are all about media hives, and the meditation thread is all about confusion in some way. History have a very grounding effect which could be useful for all of us.
  10. Which enlightened people are are liberals or conservatives? I think most enlightened people have probably transcended political duality.
  11. 1. Lord of the rings trilogy - by far my favorite 2. Matrix - also great 3. Harry Potter- it really feels like I'm being thrown in to this magical world when I'm watching it. 4. Fight Club
  12. GREEN/red can be very dangerous and toxic. Anyone who doesn't get that should watch Wild wild country!
  13. A somewhat solid ORANGE/blue is probably better than a toxic GREEN/red.
  14. @Leo Gura You're obviously not realizing the impact of your gaslighting to people who been following you for years and are devoted to your teachings.
  15. @Drake72 I must say that I agree with a lot of the critisicm. I started to watch leos videos about 6 years ago, but stopped about a year and a half ago because of all the gaslighting and shutting down of others perspective. Unfortunately Leo has developed some cult leader tendencies and kind of became the zen devil he warned everybody of. (I myself is also guilty of this) With that said I am still very grateful for the amazing rescorces that Ive found here, especially the books liist and parts of the lp course.
  16. It feels authentic and it provides you with deeper understanding.
  17. When contemplating you not looking for some kind of intellectual matter, you're looking for an experience. Radical openess/willingness to experience whatever lies underneath would probably be useful. Focus - if you loose yourself in concept bring your attention back to experience. Be clear on what it is you want to experience, the truth of what?
  18. What does that mean? I think most enlightened people are aware of their names. Are you suggesting for example that Peter Ralston is not aware that that's his name?
  19. The hippies skipped orange. They reacted to blue and jumped up to green and then to orange. What is also critical to understand when it comes to spiral dynamics/integral theory is the difference between waking up and growing up.
  20. Unfortunately this kind of green hipocracy have poisoned this forum.
  21. Swedish philosopher Alexander Bard talking about the coming paradigm shift. Any thoughts?
  22. I think it's this one
  23. Sounds to me that theres a lot of self-doubt going on, which is prevelent troughout the whole spiritual process. The core of self-doubt is doubting our authenticity.
  24. He also claims that love is a distinction, and a distinction is not Truth.
