  1. Sadhguru has the term "ultimate well being". It seems to imply there is an ultimate state, or truth or realization. Not sure how it is possible if the universe keeps existing or rebirthing. Maybe once you reach the ultimate realization the cycle begins once again fresh. Because can there really be a still ultimate state that wouldn't devolve because of boredom ? If so why is there anything in the first place, the self splited in those trillions souls for a reason. Of course if you can maintain the ecstasy of existence at all time then it doesn't matter, maybe it is what he calls ultimate well being.
  2. Maybe you're right. As long as you don't oppose dismantling livestock farming and slaughterhouses we're good.
  3. Let us strive to make things right, not to restart the wheel in the opposite direction or we're in for another cycle.
  4. Don't you understand that killing one or the other have different on impacts on other lives ? Maybe we can't stop it completely but we can do what's reasonable to minimize negative impact on other lives. For you torturing and killing 100 lives is the same as killing 10 ? By your thinking we could kill other humans since anyway we have to kill to live, hence my previous point that it should be legal to put you in a livestock farm for meat production. But yeah we'll talk about this about this forever, you just don't get the point for some reason so feel free not to reply.
  5. I would say it's best to have some criminalization (or rather misdemeanor) but it's important that all the race directions in the racist offense are treated equally (white on black, black on white etc)
  6. @Forestluv thank you for sharing your experience, those were intense events and I feel for you, it's good that you managed to outgrew them. I feel we are mostly on the same page I'm not sure what makes you think that I'm not oriented towards harm reduction. I was simply saying that it is possible for false rape accusations to have more damaging effect than some interactions that a judiciary court would qualify as rape. So in the context of this thread about false accusation I'm saying that false rape accusations also have to be taken seriously and not brushed under the rug. Both offenses should be liable to a similar penalty. I wasn't saying that overall false rape accusations are a more important issue than rape and vice versa. I'm not comparing them really past the observation that their damaging effects scales are overlapping.
  7. Your claim that I have no clue what the actual impact is is unwarranted, I didn't say that rape couldn't have devastating devastating effect. There can be various levels of forcefulness on the rapist side, rejection on the victim side and relationship between the rapist and the victim is all I said. Maybe some rape cases need not to have the same devastating as for instance a jogger that gets ambushed in the middle of a forest. Now from your second sentence I understand that you would tend to exclude from the definition of rape those "milder" (with an ambush by an armed and masked aggressor being on the top side of the scale) forms of consent overpowering, I don't think that would be doing victims service. When I talk about false accusation is when there was no intercourse or consent was given. It must have sucked that you were falsely accused too, fortunately you were maybe not jailed for years to decades or lynched by a mob at which point we could have said that the false accusation would have been more damaging to you than maybe some forms of rape.
  8. It was already explained to you in the first page that animals eat vegetables so by eating animals you're killing and torturing many more lives than if you ate vegetables directly. In my previous post that you quoted I also explained that different vegetables also differed. But you can't see the explanations that are given to you, you're blind and your urge to call people stupid is blinding you. After having called people "stupid" in most of your replies you're mostly just expressing how you feel rather than qualifying other's people intellectual capabilities. I'll give you another example of how animal and vegetal lives differ : to farm "livestock" on the scale that is required you have to stack them in very restricted areas and handle them very harshly, as a result of what their quality of life is horrendous. Farming plants on the other hand, the plants live their lives as they would in nature as they don't need to move around so although the slaughtering is less than optimal the overall suffering throughout their lives is still less.
  9. That's pretty clear. In some cases the rape victim will experience a mild discomfort and sense that boundaries were overtaken but it won't be life shattering. And in some cases a falsely accused victim will have her life destroyed, be it socially or jailed for years to decades. See for instance Julian Assange, the guy made us such a big favor showing the whole world war crimes and for that he got sent to supermax which is designed to destroy human psychee.
  10. False rape accusation should be punished with the same jail time as rapists. People that do false accusations destroy an innocent life and they make it harder for true victims.
  11. Plant suffering is a real thing, veganism is only the first step in bettering things, evolution, apart from technology, would be how harmoniously we live with the all life around us. I would say that the most ethical food to eat would be fruits as what they do is to lure animals to eat them and spread the seeds, fruits seem spiritually prepared to be eaten. There is Jain veganism which aims to minimize plant suffering too, they don't eat root vegetables because it is one life as opposed to let's say a fruit which would be killed but the source of life that is the tree would keep living (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jain_vegetarianism). It's crazy to realize how advanced those "religions" are, thousands of years ago people managed to reach a way of life that we only now start to understand that this is indeed the peek of human evolution. As for @Fadl I say it's okay you can have this attitude against people that try to push things in a better direction (as imperfect as it may be). It's just that people like you should be allowed to be slaughtered for food or fertilizer purposes, we could make a farming industry out of people like you. After all what is the difference between you and the 70 billions animals that are slaughtered every year, you think your life is more important ? It's okay if meat eaters can't realize but the least they can do is to get out of the way and not oppose the people that try to end this hellish industry. If they can't even do that then we should at least recognize the right to farm them as per their own standards. It wouldn't even necessarily be needed to consume that right and effectively end you, vegans couldn't do it, but the law should allow it.
  12. What strong sauce practice would you recommend ?
  13. I'd tend to rather believe AdeptusPsychonautica on that one until further evidence because if they really had someone serious they would be too glad to have him on a podcast or at least write a comment somewhere about how bad his experience was. Instead it appears that they just have these few one liners hearsays. At least we know this angle of attack against Martin's approach exists and people can make their own mind. It also shows that no matter how much shilling you do for the left (Martin did some) it won't shield you from getting targeted by those cancel culture tactics.
  14. So those 3 facebook comments are the people they claimed to be in contact with and who were grossed by their experience ?
  15. Thank you, all the best to you Bojan.
  16. Well you tried, it shows that you are ready to take actions for your well being. Hopefully you can find a practice or a thread that works for you.
  17. Not advocating homosexuality is being homophobe to you ? Great thinking. I am not homophobe and again you don't know me or my experience of life so you have no business talking about what I know or can talk about. So promoting homosexuality and spreading it so it has the same level of exposition as heterosexuality is what matters to you ? Go ahead if you think that's what the world needs. Hollywood is quite advanced on that road already. Sadhguru gave you his stance, you disagree, you reject him and you push anyway in that direction, he's not going to persecute you, it's your choice. And this by the way : "I listen to him and I don't listen to the truth, I listen to opportunism, intelligence, preparation, staging, oratory ... politics", makes not sense, you really think he has a political agenda other than what's best for humanity ? Can you say what agenda that could be ? He's going to die, we all are, did you ever listen to him ?
  18. That's great for the first half. I'm not sure what you mean by "people like me" though, it has a racist vibe and anyway you don't know me so I don't accept your remark. I'm trying to understand what he said wrong from your explanation and that of Bojan. Basically you are blaming him that he said not to promote homosexuality and not to be pushy about this matter. Your point of view is that you want to do exactly that and the goal would be to remove repression in people about homosexuality so they can express homosexuality freely. The implicit understanding behind this is that people are innately homosexual and expressing this homosexuality is necessary for them to be fulfilled. Sadhguru's point of view is that homosexuality can be induced (eg british soldiers that gave into homosexuality because the lack of women) and fulfillment is not reached with sexuality but with yoga. So what he's saying is that people who are innately homosexual need not to spread it among the population that can be induced into it. Also he's speaking to the indian population that wasn't prejudiced against homosexuality, that was brought by the british laws, maybe he would speak differently to a western audience.
  19. He's all about body/mind mastery also he's offering practices, what do you mean he sells dreams ? Do you know techniques that are not weak sauce ? Would you share where to get them ?
  20. It's great that it worked for you guys. I did his programs but personally I never understood why people a crying when he claps his hands or what are those "energies" you talk about but after Bhava Spandana I remembered a death from another life, I also had an experience for a fraction of a second when eating a cucumber during the program, the taste of the cucumber was actually his being. Then during Samyama there is a practice during which I existentially disappeared and became the object I was watching, for a fraction of a second also. Those experience are too unstable, short and never reached again for me to really be transformed by them but I feel better than before starting my spiritual journey few years ago that's for sure. And I too think he's the real deal seeing all the positive impact he has in the world. Anyway, keep up the good work!
  21. I wasn't aware of Sadhguru's stance on homosexuality so I searched and found this video which is a longer exchange with someone defending your point of view : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_PdcLsDZiM0 Frankly I have to agree with him 100%, I don't understand the urge to go on a campaign about this whole LGBTQ+ movement past the legalization. Can't people live their sexuality privately ? The more pushy and aggressive the LGBTQ activists become the more I find it curious that people found the need to write the Sodom and Gomorrah story two millennia ago. Homosexuals can hang around and kiss in public, for all I care they can display the same level of affection for each others as many straight couples do outside, but what else do you want from me and why ?
  22. He has dispatched yogic practices to millions of people, he built the infrastructure to actually keep the support to those people, no doubt many of those people were miserable and saw some light thanks to him, he's doing the mahashivatri festival which attracts millions of viewers every year and again, he produced a huge amount of spiritual content offering a holistic view on a huge range of topics, all this keeps the spiritual process alive for millions. Spiritual process is important for many people to live a meaningful life. He built an ashram which gives employment to many local people and contractors, a place to volunteer for those who wish. He has many social programs to rejuvenate indian countryside, he made 3 different schools : one for the rich people, one for the poor people in countryside and one spiritual (Isha Samskriti). He's dispatching his programs in jails both in India and the US. He initiated few social programs such as operation greenhand which resulted in millions of trees planted and going, Cauvery program which is a comprehensive plan for farmers to switch to tree based agriculture which should increase the green coverage and save the dying river of Cauvery, the goal is to make a proof of concept. When asked how many people he managed to enlighten during his career he says many, I'd tend to believe it. He made the Dhyanalinga which he describes as the goal of his life, I'm not sensible enough to understand its worth, it's supposed to liberate you automatically, so I'll see about that when I die. He made a lot more than that on various scales he has an holistic approach to life, he's just trying to align the whole thing starting from people innermost center to society at large, very impressive. To me it's clear he's the most advanced person on the planet, I don't even understand people in this thread stating that he has ego or that he rubs them the wrong way, that makes zero sense to me.
  23. Whatever Leo says is only what he thinks is true at any given point, A wise man would see the pattern and become silent instead of talking and talking endlessly, but you don't make a business out of silence and humility.
  24. For a few weeks now a group of gender study people named psymposia is aiming at Martin Ball because of one of his talk where he explains how he used to vomit on people during his sessions and how some sessions were going sideways. Their last podcast has an interesting angle of attack, as for Martin he is spamming responses to them in his apple podcasts channel. I thought I'd share this thread here. https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-entheogenic-evolution/id272825477
  25. These white fragilty, white guilt, white shame terms are socially engineered angle of attack made by racists against people of white color. When it comes from white people themselves it means they fell for it or they describe their own experience, it needs not to apply to other white people, everybody has to introspect for themselves. This angle of attack is a form of gaslighting, or offensive hypnosis, where the racist individual creates a narrative where it is implied that the white person should be guilty and ashamed of something to push him into a submissive behavior. They will imply that the white person racism is a given and then proceed to abuse him for that reason when in truth it is absolutely not a given. If there are problems in the society it needs not always be because of white people. Contemplate and settle this question for good within yourself, know who you are and these narratives won't be triggering you anymore.
