  5. @Mal Which one are your favs? Maybe I should post a thread separately...
  6. Like Mooji says "I dunno" hehehehe
  7. Cavalier perspective or One-point perspective?
  8. If it is me, it must be a pretty monster, cause I am pretty
  9. It is Will, aren't we you always arguing with our thoughts? Who is the one who says "that's me"? It is just a thought. Right? And then... Who says? "no... this is not me, I am something more permanent" Another thought, so we are just entertaining different thoughts... We are all crazy hehehehe... the only difference is we keep certain logic. When you think and think without stop you can go crazy, for real. That's how our mind works. So better not think so much, just feel comfortable with what you are. It's Ok if we just observe the thoughts, but then at some point we will need guidance, we have to learn how to differentiate which are just thoughts and which ones are our true self. And we will be our own masters. Otherwise we will just keep repeating what we have listen around there, we will just change our programming and that's all. The voice will be low in the beginning, but then it will become more clear. About free will, watch this. Very useful. And about listening your inner voice: And one last thing, don't believe me or any of those videos, just try to experience and understand by yourself, the idea is not create anymore beliefs and see reality "as is". :-)
  10. That's really awesome Atom! I wish you well too!!!
  11. That's a great definition @Emerald Wilkins
  12. That's great! I wanna be "that" too
  13. His explanations about free will are very interesting and pretty easy to understand.
  14. @Atom did you watch Sam Harris videos about free will?
  15. I got you, thanks again!!!
  16. @charlie2dogs thanks Charlie! How will you define the difference between the two? Programming and beliefs?
  17. Even from a scientific perspective, and applying logical thinking, free will doesn't exist.
  18. @charlie2dogs I ended in a mental hospital to understand that there's no free will and that our ego-identity is false / fake. It doesn't exist. I am beginning to understand that the key is no beliefs at all. I understand it conceptually, but I still need time to process it.
  19. That's what I was thinking. Thanks for clarifying Charlie. @Atom I know we have no free will. And the free will we will have if we are enlightened (as I hope we all will be) it's not the kind of free will we think functioning as an ego-identity, or human being.
  20. But after enlightenment we can say we do have free will. We have no free will while we identify with the ego identity, right?
  21. @ChimpBrain Fear can take a lot of forms, maybe is not fear to the remote wilderness but fear of the reactions from your family. Anyway it is not about going to a remote place. You can do it here if you want. I will advice you to check your inner voice, try to connect with it. That's what will guide you. You won't find guidance on other peoples opinions, they are pointers for you. You have to listen to everything and check what your inner voice says, the one that speaks very low and smoothly, and most of the time, doesn't talk to us with words. You know what I am talking about because I am sure you listen to it. This video can be helpful, I hope it helps.
  22. Been there done that, in your first stages when you begin to accept that we have no free will is common to tend to forgive the one that most of the people see as "the attacker". And we see him like he's not conscious, it wasn't his free will, he didnt choose to do it, etc. I think Sam Harris in his youtube video about Free Will explain it better. It's not about punishing the attacker, but it needs to be separated from society because he's harmful for the society and for himself. But I didn't understand the side of the victim, I thought that the victim in some way was creating the crime subconsciously. I realized it was a weird way to see it, but it was like I didn't understand, now when @charlie2dogs posted the reasons, it make sense to me. It is not bad that we, because we "feel more advanced seekers" (or a little bit more hehehe... ) condemn the act and separate the guy from the rest of the society and instead of punish him, as it is done now it would be good to try to make him see the consequences of his actions. It's about trying to bring more awareness, not about "consoling" the victims or making them feel better because there is a punishment or revenge. I don't know if I am making myself clear.
  23. Sorry, the correct title is "The Answer that Kills Every Question" Here it is.
  24. Emerald, your last video come at a perfect time for me. Thanks!!! I posted a comment in your youtube site also. Pretty cool. Your video together with the one of Teal Swam about how to listen your inner voice are at this moment the one I am watching more over and over hehehe... I also like a lot a Moojis video about "the question that will kill all the questions". Maybe you saw it. I am working on that question with my inner voice and loving my ego, so... everything makes a lot of sense. P.S.: The most helpful part of your video was realizing that I need a strong ego, to be able to face the challenges along the enlightenment path. I was all the time trying to suppress it and it's crazy. It comes back to haunt you.
  25. Will, I asked the same things as you (and I am still asking them, so this is just my point of view at this moment) , I think you know that. :-) Ok, this is my experience. If you let the things go, things will be done the way you really want them to be. But not "you" the identity. You, your real self. We are not in connection with our real self, because of thoughts, experience, environment, influence of others, etc. So, we listen to the internal voice of our self, but we don't pay attention to it. The ego will be always in the way, but don't see it as a bad thing. It is good in fact. Because that's the way that we can discover ourselves, who we really are. We are a much bigger thing that this ego. You said that we are a tiny nothing. That's true if you see it from the ego point of view. You won't see it that way once you are identified with your true self, at least that's what I had for some insights and experiences, very short experiences but very rich. I hope it helps.
