@James123 your form of spirituality sounds like suicide. Enlightenment can only be true if you are truly dead, not half alive. If it's so important to be letting go of the body then letting it go completly would be the only real answer, what is death, what is enlightenment, because before that the ego will just hide in the form of some God complex, thinking it has reached the ultimate and its proud of it too.

@Mellowmarsh I am not really in those forums so I have no idea, unless you mean this forum. I think its good to clairify some things with others tho, even if they get it wrong, its good to express some thoughts yourself you know.

@Someone here are you saying escapism is not an escape?
-
@Someone here by an escape I mean its not a permanent state as you can access it in silence or in some moments during the day, but when responsibilities are demanded from you, you have to return back to the relative world. Aka escaping responsibilities, just like entertainment is escaping your responsibilities or even sleep can be an escape. Something to take you away from your relative world and your problems or responsibilities, that is why when you return from your meditation your still broke, and that manifestation meditation didn't bring you a million euros

@Breakingthewall so what would be, according to you, the practice for people? and how to prevent God complex issues in spiritual communities and spiritual leaders?
-
@James123 just cause you are not it, doesn't mean you don't have any responsibility of it. You might have a child, you are not the child, but you still have responsibility over that child, your not just gonna let it die. You have an ego, you don't are it, so your still responsible for it at the end of the day. Thats my perspective.
-
@Mellowmarsh so you would say we should all just keep quiet?
-
@Breakingthewall so would you say inherently spirituality is just a form of escapism?

As artists we love to improvise, we feel its the purest form of art, in the moment expressing what you feel. The only problem with improvisation is that it is not gonna come off professional and will not be appreciated by the general public. This is something to be understood very clearly. If you want to be a great artist, performer, you must have a show that has been practiced a 1000 times. If it involves speaking you would have to know what you say before you say it, if its movements, dancing, juggling I don´t care what it is, you must have practiced the exact thing you perform atleast a 1000 times and even that is not good enough, because now you have only practiced it in front of a mirror, you should perform it in real life on open mics or different places. To be great, to be the best, you got to practice even when you think you got it, Michael Jackson could probably do a show without any practice yet he never stopped practicing, because he didn´t wanted to be good, he wanted to be the best. This is why most artists fail, they fail, because they are not professional, they improvise, they just do some random stuff, nothing is thought through deeply, nothing has been practiced for long enough and mastered. A great mentor of mine told me its better to have a short performance of 15 mins that is really great then an hour or half an hour of just good. You don´t want good, you want the best, you want excellence and that comes with practice. You might judge what I say here, but look at the movies you watch!? These are with the best actors who practiced their art, practiced the script, its all prepared, nothing is improvised and all you never watch any improvised movie. You don't pay to go to a concert, to watch someone improvise, Beyonce knows exactly what she has to do, she practiced and rehearsed it a 1000 times, aswell as the whole team of dancers who know and learned the chorography. They practiced for months before even going on stage. So this is for any artist, if you want to go to the next level, you got to do better, meaning you got to work on one performance, one piece of art, not 10 not 20, focus on one thing, do it really really well, master it. Look where it could be improved even in the slightest ways. This is how you will become great, with improvisation you will maybe feel more connected to your art, but you won't have mastered it. In my performance I have mastered it, and there are still levels higher for me to go, it never ends. But with this good of a show I am confident to promote, sell or market it. How can you be confident about something you have never done before? How can you be confident in your improvisation skills? The biggest people I know in any creative industry put in the hours, put in the work, to really master a few things instead of doing a bunch of stuff only with half effort. The greatest artists release an album only once in a couple of years, not to forget that the greatest artists have all the money, resources that you don't have, also they have much more time to work on it then you have, so if your a musician you would have to put in the double the work the people on the top put into it. And to end it on this note, I think what I would ask you is how serious are you about this? If you take your art serious, you should want to share it with the general public, but therefor also consider that they are not gonna resonate with improvised shows, music or any piece of art. People love professionals, professionals get paid and the aspiring artist will live broke, because they never adapt, they always remain idealistic, when I started persuing art I never wanted to be broke, so I adapted, I stopped believing that people just need to like whatever I do, because they don't. Everyone can make a youtube video with 1 view, how many can truely put in the work to make a successful video? Its not luck, its not talent, its work, practice, scripting and rehearsing, trying and failing. A few succeed, because only a few are willing to do what it takes. Blame yourself for how far you have made it, take responsibility and only then will you improve.

@James123 even if everything is one, that doesn't mean you don't have a body, mind, organism that wants to survive, called ego. Ego is in resistance towards dying continuously, try to kill an insect and see how it defends itself or runs, flies away, we are not any better then that, thinking your above that is only arrogance or a serious suicidal tendency, because if you were above that, you would be dead. So to claim your one with God is only partly true, partly your stuck with an ego, body, mind till you die, before death you can only have a momentary escape, till you need to work and pay your bills or take care of other responsibilities, like going to the toilet and taking a giant shit.

@No1Here2c and @Breakingthewall I don't look on this forum for a few hours and come back with 77 message of you guys having a nonduality fight hahahahaha I still don't see a solution for making nonduality free from narcissism (god complex and spiritual ego) if anyone has an answer let me know
-
@Mellowmarsh yes I think that is already much better than following a teaching
-
@Mellowmarsh fair enough if your interest is for being in the being state and doing self inquiry I am not here to bring you of that path. I am more looking for a pathway that doesn't allow corruption to take over as is being done right now with nonduality as claiming yourself to be God, maybe not for you, but for others could lead to big problems, aka God complex or as some might call it spiritual ego and in denial of having a body, mind and ego. To me, consciousness is real, everything is one, I would agree with all of that, its more about a flaw in the teachings that can lead to misuse thats my concern.
-
@Mellowmarsh but can't you see how this would lead to endless misuse? It's not so much if consciousness, God is real or not, that isn't even what I am saying. The thing I am saying is that you are still having to take responsibility over this body, mind and ego. If you decide to smash your body to the ground and become one with God, that is your choice. As your living in this world, having the idea that you are God, what partly is true, partly is a God complex, will lead to allot of problems as your in denial of an ego, body, mind that is still functioning with or without enlightenment or a spiritual awakening, as much as it might be a simulation, when I punch you in the stomach, your non duality talk goes out of the window and you punch me right back or run away, that is just natural ego, body, mind reaction. The question is not if consciousness is real or not; the only question is, is teaching this leading humanity to a better place? To me, no, the teachings have to change and take care of this one flaw, how exactly that is what I am still contemplating.
-
@Ziran is fictional returning, real returning is dying. You are a human being, not just being, you have a human part which is overlooked in nonduality teachings that leads to all kinds of problems.
-
I have been in contact with some of the victims of Bentinho Massaro and I might do an interview with one of them on youtube about this, if you guys have any good questions let me know what you would want to know. No silly questions please.
-
@Joseph Maynor I am not saying its bad, its just not fulfilling, inner fulfillment, thats why I said do it for purpose or for money, not for fame itself.
-
@Jordan of the Shire sure hearing other peoples perspectives helps aswell, that is also why I am on this forum to share and hear other peoples reflections and reactions on what I say and my perspectives.
-
@Jodistrict why not find your own practice? I have found that works better for me at the end of the day. To keep your ego in check, you don't need a guru; you need self-reflection, questioning your own beliefs, aka philosophy. That also will make you come up with authentic thoughts instead of being a copy-paste of whatever some guru says, which is almost as dogmatic as any religion.
-
@Natasha Tori Maru Its indeed very poopy, luckily I am having much more of my own thoughts nowadays, its easy to fall into the frame of a guru when your goal is to become more conscious. Scepticism towards a guru is often seen as ego or some reflection of your own shadow, he is just a mirror, when many times they are not a mirror, they are simply in their ego themself. I am getting tired of already thinking about what comes from ego or not ego, its such a stupid game that these teachers are playing to hide their own hidden agenda by making you self-conscious, what is not being relaxed and present at all, being present means to just chill, not to be hyper aware if what you're doing comes from ego or not. Anyways I am getting of track. What I have found is to follow more of my own journey, which includes gratitude, meditation or prayer. I am not Christian, but I feel prayer to God is more helpful than bowing down to some rapist guru. Additionally, maybe some philosophy or letting go work, but no longer listening to teachers when it comes down to my spiritual practices.
-
@Natasha Tori Maru I have been seriously following him for years, his grandiose ego became apparent only later on in my journey when my intuition made me see the flaws in these enlightened teachers more and more, not just Bentinho. But of course his ego is more obvious then other gurus. Now with the allegations coming out, all the things are clicking into place, making so much sense of what I felt intuitively, but I couldn't put my finger on back then. In fact I followed him very intensively, because I have always been interested in consciousness and awakening from a young age and now that all of this is coming out, I have to reorganise my mind to evaluate all his stuff and seeing the bullshit that has creeped also in my own unconscious mind, because there are videos of him I watched so many times, I know literally word for word, like the video "I am SOURCE" I must have watched that video a million times back when I was 18.
-
@Willy Phallicus If you think the recipe to happiness is starting a cult, go ahead. I don't think psychopaths are happy, they appear to be happy and charming to get people into their cult. A marketing smile is as deep as his happiness probably goes.
-
@integral there is no heart in it, its very rational, what seems like its in allignment, but its just making sense out of things that don't make sense. It makes no sense that you can be enlightened and rape at the same time and that there is no problem with that, but somehow he knows a way to justify any of his selfish behavior in the name of oneness, source, consciousness.
-
watch this video from timestamp: 1:22:40 He literally justifies being raped or killed doesn't matter a damn thing, because you are still source. Its literally what we described as a joke, but he is serious about it. Its crazy to look at this video again after all the allegations came out.
-
@integral its all in the magic penis, its his enlightenment sword, his gift to the world, bringing the world to a higher conscious place, its all an expression of the one infinite creator. I think that is what he is thinking lol.
