  1. Approach to suffering One thing to remember is that you are always a winner, no matter what. Because you are always you. The fact that you endured so much and keep enduring is a testament of your passion and strength. So even if your life was cut short, you are not in vain. You are loved and appreciated whatever way you are Do not be upset that you couldn't get what you wanted. Life is a litany of unfinished businesses. Nothing is truly lost. Don't think that you need to regret something or regret the suffering. Your sufferings are also your medals. Your yearnings are also your medals. Your faith is also a medal. Your soul is a reward in itself. Even if you couldn't create the life you wanted, one thing that the world is powerless in controlling is your soul. Your soul is an infinite space and repository of infinite imagination and creation. Create whatever you want in your soul. It's effect is a permanent imprint. The problem of suicide. I have often wondered if suicide is the ultimate solution for everything. Then I think about God's love I wish religion wasn't so persecuting Religion should be more of a refuge and less of a babble on morality. That's one reason that drew me to Satanism. In Satanism there was a certain kind of freedom that religion didn't allow
  2. Approach to suffering
  3. Approach to suffering I want to have a very pragmatic step by step approach to suffering. This is going to be difficult and I don't have much expertise in this area. But I will do my best to articulate new ideas and approaches to personal suffering. These can be applied to both human suffering in general and to personal suffering as well. But more to personal suffering than general suffering. This is a journal about how I will deal with the suffering in my own life and what pragmatic steps I will take towards coping and dealing with it and finding my potential through it. I always felt like I wasted a lot of potential in my life. I feel like I wasted my life. Well, it's not too late. It's never too late. I can find my ground again. I can rise again.
  4. I recently started following Satanism and one of the things that I learned with Satanism is that suffering exists. Evil exists. To embrace and accept this evil and suffering. This was difficult to understand in the beginning. It felt like Stockholm Syndrome.
  5. You gave a pretty good explanation. I like western culture a lot especially because the freedom it gives to both men and women. But If I had to place myself in a white people's community, I would consider myself moderately conservative. That is, I would agree with you and I'm not supportive of hookup culture, one night stands etc. I consider that as meaningless sex as well because it has no emotionally binding relationship. However I'm currently in a relationship with a man and I have sex with him and we are not married, yet it's not casual sex like one night stand. It's a full fledged relationship. He is my boyfriend. I wouldn't consider having sex with him as meaningless. Actually that's what I meant. I do agree with you there.
  6. I find it difficult to find a specific post in my journals whenever I need it for quick reference. So I will use this journal as a collection of important entries.
  7. Put it differently. You can also see it as liberation from pain. It doesn't appear much selfish then. Wanting freedom from suffering is not really a selfish thing. By that logic wanting suffering for others should be considered a selfless thing.
  8. That's the difference. I don't consider sex before marriage as meaningless. Why should I avoid sex for that? If I don't want an unwanted pregnancy, I will use precaution. What else can be the reason for avoiding sex before marriage? You find it meaningless. I don't find it meaningless Society in my country demonizes girls who aren't virgins. Girls like me for example. It's cheap. I used the Asian context because I'm an Asian myself. This is a predominantly Eastern culture problem. Western countries don't demonize sex before marriage. In fact they don't even demonize motherhood before marriage. I understand the problem of teen pregnancy and I'm not supportive of that. But is a woman doing something wrong by being an unwed mother? I don't think so. These cultures have a way of criminalizing women for just having sexual desires. It's madness even in the 21st century. It's one thing to have a choice and it's another thing to make that choice a rule for everyone or a social taboo if someone goes against it. Such mentality like "virginity of a woman", "premarital sex is impure" "unwed motherhood a crime/taboo" usually arise from such cultures. I don't know where you come from But the defense of virgin brides usually comes from such cultures is what I meant Seriously, it's very demeaning to women.
  9. @Unseeking Seeker I actually wanted the person who Leo went to. But Leo is kinda mum on this. Where's Leo??
  10. @Leo Gura go visit that place. Then the sea levels will stop rising by the force of your voice. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/aug/10/kiribatis-presidents-plans-to-raise-islands-in-fight-against-sea-level-rise
  11. Golden. Spira my favorite.
  12. A journal to explore what I learned from the masters.
  13. Those things can be avoided with or without marriage Sex should have nothing to do with marriage It's the old "woman should be a virgin" blah blah blah that floats in Asian countries I don't follow such a thing. Nobody is pure or impure just because they had sex before marriage. It's just Stage Blue sexual repression of women bullshit.
  14. This is the reference chart. Got it from the web.

  18. I had been thinking about human suffering for the past few days and I was digging into Satanism for answers. And here comes Adyashanti, exactly telling me about the same thing. What a synchronicity!!!!!! https://youtu.be/PZxj6_CARqg
  19. @DrewNows me and you. Same same. A pinch on your shoulder. Sometimes we are mirror images of each other.
  20. Now this is useful for my research on this topic. http://tantrikalife.com/sacredsexuality.html
  21. @Farnaby yes lifting the barrier should be your aim and personal decision. Your true essence is buried beneath the onion layers.. For this you will need to do tons of self inquiry and shadow work as well. Prepare a questionnaire and ask yourself boatload of questions. Have you ever tried talking to yourself? It sounds absurd but it will help you tremendously. For example, right now in this moment, you can ask yourself a very simple question "am I being authentic right now?" let's say you are talking to someone, and you are saying a lot of things, one quick question you can ask yourself is "am I saying these things because I really mean it or is it because I want to impress the listener?" this is just a very basic way of testing your authenticity. Understand that this is very very important. There are moments in your life from time to time where you will catch yourself doing things that you don't want to do. For example you are arguing with your girlfriend. You gotta ask yourself and catch yourself in that moment, "is this how I wanna spend my time" and the quick answer is "no" you're doing what the situation is telling you to do, without realizing it, this is your onion self, the self which is being dictated by situations, the self which has to be present because you are in society, because you are living in a way which the situation around you is demanding of you.. Have you said things that you didn't want to say but said it because society deems it acceptable. Have you in the moment felt like, maybe you should have been just brutally honest rather than being diplomatic. Have you caught yourself feeling obstructed when you wanted to say or do something. And you just recoiled back and hesitated and never tried because of that obstruction. This is where you know it's your onion self operating. Not your real self. Your true essence will emerge when you will slowly remove all these barriers one by one in your daily life With each step that you take to be your natural self and not give into the manipulation of your surroundings, you will clearly begin to see a new self emerging, a partial self from the back of your mind, a more intuitive self and it will be in contrast with your current self. At that point you will be able to differentiate between the true essence( which is slowly rebelling against your current onion self) and your onion self. You will have intense internal conflict but once you give ownership to your true essence by constantly saying No to obstructions and barriers, the onion will slowly disappear layer by layer, and you will begin to honor this new true authentic self.
  22. So I wrote a post long ago about Wabi Sabi. Fished it out from my old journal. Dated. 18th April 2019. It was informative. And I was digging into Wabi Sabi at that time.
