  1. The cringey part is the sole focus on it. Like for example If I were giving a seminar and If at the end of it, the feedback was on my looks rather than my performance, I'd feel uncomfortable and awkward, kinda objectified. But if someone invited me to dinner and complimented my looks at a party or a dinner, I'd be perfectly okay with it. I mean there is a time and place for everything.
  2. Nah, your comment wasn't a problem at all..you misunderstood it. Your comment was perfectly fine. I was reacting to the statement that Carl made in a sarcastic manner because I knew what he meant. He was directing it at me because I called her beautiful so I responded to him.
  3. It's about everything. I've no problem with calling someone beautiful. That's a compliment. But to only judge a woman by her looks and look past her achievements is a tad sexist. A woman complimenting a woman is a common phenomenon. But when men they do it, it's kinda cringey how obsessed they get with the looks, it's not how women do it, just a compliment, it's statements like "I wanna wife her" that diminishes a woman's value, because the sole attention is on her looks and not on what she is saying. I mean she a not a display object for a future wife, she is saying something of substance and men constantly discussing looks makes it very cringey. Flyboy put it correctly. Read his comment.
  4. @Recress you can start by respecting his differences
  5. Do you suffer sleep deprivation?
  6. @Dark_White yep. NOW definitely.
  7. @Dark_White lol.
  8. It's ok. I think you should respect him the way he is. Why should he be different?
  9. @Dark_White lmao I didn't get this.
  10. @neutralempty I mean animals don't use us. We definitely use them. What does that say about power hierarchy?
  11. This happened to me. The more I got spiritual the more I lost interest in materialistic physical lifestyle. I guess it's the natural progression of spirituality and it had to be this way and no other because it wouldn't make sense if spirituality also accommodated materialistic needs, because then it wouldn't really make much of a difference in overall perspective. It won't look like a path but more like an accompaniment to life. But since it's supposed to be unique and a journey, a path, by the nature of the divine universe it makes perfect sense why spirituality should move us away from a non spiritual materialistic life. The key would be balance. I mean that's what I do now. I tried to be minimal with my materialistic needs like Job and money but I want more of spirituality because that feels right. I don't feel like I'm missing out because this is my goal, this is what I wanted so no regrets I also compare it to the idea of peace and war. Let's say I want peace. Would I want war in that case? Nope. Which means if I want peace, I should no longer be invested in war, because I can't have both.
  12. @neutralempty maybe this empathy comes from thinking that they're less powerful than humans and because we tend to think that we've a sense of power and control over them. Which again means, we treat them unequal and unfairly in our minds.
  13. @BlackMaze oh God. Hope things go okay. Please don't drink that again.
  14. @BlackMaze water purifiers have RO or reverse osmosis that takes care of the mineral deposits in water that is caused by your government putting loads of cleaning chemicals into it like fluoride etc. So you might want to invest into a water purifier that takes care of it.. It also comes with a UV purifier that kills germs instantly, I mean bacteria and viruses giving you clean fresh water. Budget would be around 100 to 200 dollars I spent around like $ 500 dollars on my purifier and it does an excellent job You can look on Amazon for that. Britta is kinda cheap and okayish but I'm not sure if it uses RO. But never use tap water. Like never.

  16. It's because of men like these, we have videos like these
  17. Oh God. No.. Not at all. Please. Just use a water purifier for kitchen. No tap water please.
  18. My point is that we can't understand animals until we understand each other What Im indirectly trying to say is that as long as we can't have true empathy for each other, we won't have it for animals either. Consider this. We respect ourselves over and above animals. This means that we think that human life is more important than the life of an animal. So here we have a hierarchy. We place ourselves higher in this hierarchy and place animals lower in it. Something that we consider lower will always have a lesser priority. If we cannot respect each other despite having given ourselves higher priority, what are the chances that we will look at something with respect when it's at a lower priority than us.. It's like saying, if you don't respect your own family members and friends, what are the chances that you will respect your neighbor? Did you get my point? @neutralempty
