  1. @Serotoninluv ahh. That looks amazing.
  2. It's time for people to live in Wyoming.
  3. I'm so glad that the US president's office lasts only 2 terms, a total 8 years. Thank God for that So even if that joke gets re-elected, the stormy weather will last only for 4 more years, no more after that.
  4. Forget history. Because history is a mystery that people turn into an industry of creating ministries.
  5. Yes! Absolutely agree. I'm also tired of the race thing. Humanity is one. The more we say black versus white, the more racist it gets. I've always said that police brutality is more about cop abuse of power rather than racism. Because I have seen so many videos of white people being tortured and killed by the police. Just this past 2 days, a 75 year old white protester was shoved to the ground in Buffalo and he was left bleeding and the police officers said that he simply tripped and fell but thanks to the video, it shows the cops knocking the man with full force. Cop brutality is abominable. This guy talks about it in depth.
  6. Yes indeed. Very disappointing to know about the bird protection Act. I always watch different types of birds. Especially the rare ones. Sucks big time. The joke is sitting in the white house.
  7. @Dutch guy don't worry about history. It's like worrying about old skin that you already shed. Worry about the present. Because it's the present that will shape the future. History has been manipulated several times during the course of history, so no point in looking too deep into the barrel because the barrel is empty. At this point history is just a distraction.
  8. It's called self - defeat. Seen it too many times.
  9. @Keyhole yea. I hadn't looked into his record at all. I had automatically assumed that he had some minor problems with the law. But here I came to know about him having used a gun to a pregnant woman and that has changed my perspective on him radically now. I don't feel so much sad about him now. Is this okay or is this wrong that I don't feel the same emotion anymore? After reading all the responses, my mind is slowly changing in my reaction to his death. Maybe I should have looked into his record earlier but I was swayed emotionally to even think of that. I don't support violence and I don't like violent people. So knowing that he was a violent criminal is very disappointing right now, almost like a betrayal, as though I grieved the wrong thing or misplaced grief. But anyway he still deserved a fair trial. It's strange that he is chosen to be the face of change. But then fate moves in mysterious ways.. Thanks for all the responses. They brought a gradual shift in my perspective to his death and him in general.
  10. Pray Trump away. He handled the coronavirus very badly. But he is kinda lucky because the dems have Joe Biden who does not have very good communication skills. Looks like he is always rehearsing or reading from an envelope. He will look wimpy in front of Trump. It all looks like a big bad joke now. God bless America and throw a president from Heaven.
  11. This is bound to happen. History gets erased and rewritten. Nothing new about it. That's why history can't be trusted. Because who knows when it was changed and why.
  12. If the man uses condoms it gets much easier. But sigh.
  13. @intotheblack yea they say that it's kind of 10 days before the onset of the period.. Correct me I'm wrong. I tried to use this method but I was too scared to continue it. It just felt so unstable and insecure. My friend actually tried this period technique and she had no precautions and she got pregnant.
  14. @JessiChell I think it's tricky. Personally I don't think it benefits so much. I have found more peace in solitude. If you need a break, then it's good. Also not all social interactions are healthy. You often run into the bad type of people who steal your energy and enthusiasm instead of helping you up. As much as you would want to work on social interactions, you might want to work on loneliness as well. Because loneliness is also necessary. Especially when you realize that the people around you aren't helpful, during those times, learning to deal with loneliness becomes a great and helpful skill. Even socialization is like a drug. So you get hooked on to it and then when you are alone it will feel like a withdrawal symptom. Almost everything is like a habit, like a drug. I suggest you that since you are trying to focus more on yourself, especially after your recent breakup, you try to keep away from socializing for some time till you are healed and happy. Your loneliness will persist during this time but this loneliness will also be your greatest strength. You will know that you aren't dependent on people to feel better every time, you will have a sense of independence and then you will not feel as much lonely, you will learn to overcome it and feel better despite being alone. This way you can enjoy both social interactions as well as your time after socializations. .
  15. That's the part that is hardest for me. I understand that suffering happens.. But then everyday humanity is working harder to reduce suffering. So it is very difficult to imagine that suffering should continue. It almost makes me want to kill myself. Like life is not worth living if suffering happens.
  16. @Aquarius Other thing that you can try is anal sex. I have tried that sometimes.
  17. @Aquarius don't know much about all this I'm just glad that I didn't get pregnant the last time lol. I would want pregnancy only if I'm married and fully settled. I don't want to be pregnant till then.. So no choice other than birth pills.
  18. Birth pills That's what I do.. Some men don't enjoy condoms.. My boyfriend doesn't like condoms. So I have to use the pill (even with pills there is a risk of pregnancy, one can't be 100% sure. Even with condoms. None is really very safe. I don't know any other method.)
  19. @IJB063 even if he had a felony record, does he deserve to be executed on the ground in public on the street? Shouldn't he like others deserve a fair trial? That's where I see an innocent death. A person not even allowed a proper arrest and dead on the spot.. It was inhuman in every form because of he was begging for his life. And second point. How does grieving over his death automatically become mutually exclusive. How does it imply that I won't grieve other things. I never said that others aren't deserving of my tears. They are too. If you showed all those thousand videos I would feel equally hurt and sad but my feed page on YouTube or Facebook showed me this first. If I was shown those videos I would have felt equally depressed.. The question or the focus is not so much why I'm grieving the death of this man alone, I never mentioned in my question that I am feeling more distressed over this out of a bunch of other videos. But this video is the latest in the string of incidents of different kinds of injustices. I usually heal over time but in this case I wanted help in processing grief, of course over time I will forget it as usual but my real question of the thread, if you cared to read carefully was the last line "How is a person supposed to accept and reconcile pain and injustice and suffering in the world while living life?"... This is about all injustices in the world, I have used the occasion of George Floyd's death to highlight his tragedy as well as other tragedies that don't get spoken about. I really needed help in processing pain and accepting or reconciling injustice and suffering in the world, wasn't looking for being judged for grieving the death of a black man in America. Don't understand why that was such a focus. The focus is more on the injustices, Floyd just happens to be the latest symbol of it.
  20. Actually yes. Some of the male colleagues I work with started using ecigs as a middle step to give up smoking. They felt better since it contains reduced nicotine and is less addictive and gradually helps in tapering off the addiction thus spacing the withdrawal symptoms. Some of them successfully gave up smoking. So I will say it helps in gradually getting rid of the addiction.
  21. @Shmurda it's because somehow in his death, I see all the injustices of the world, the nature of his death reflects the deaths of many innocent people around the world. He seems to symbolize the death of innocence.
  22. @Lyubov that was helpful. Thank you.
