"you" the apparent person who is writing this IS the imaginary position. The imaginary position is real and unreal, but for the imaginary position it is only real. If it is only real, there is an opposite to it: unreal. This is where the world of knowing springs into being. -

There is only difference between real and unreal from an imaginary position. -

Only an "ego" wants this to be different than it is. It wants this to fill it's own personal needs, it wants reality to change on its terms. The screen is identifying with the character in the game, now it knows good and bad, right and wrong, real and unreal. The character in the game can not see the total mystery of itself and the things around it, it can only see a world that it knows. From this perspective unicorns are very mysterious, way more mysterious than the reality the character already knows to be real. -

@Someone here Everything that appears is just appearances. We are real and unreal. You over there talking to me over here, is a story. This is nothing appearing as person here talking to seperate person there. There is nothing right or wrong about that, it doesn't matter. There is just what is, you can never really leave home. You can put VR glasses on, but you are still home. -

Because "we" are not real. There is an appearance of time, but there is no real time. Can you find time in your direct "experience"? Can you actually leave what IS to go to the past or future? This is infinitely empty and infinitely full. It can not be understood. Everything is real and unreal, it just is what it is. -

They happened in the story. In the story there is cause and effect. Everything is in time and can be explained by time. This is illusory knowing. You get a sense of security when you know what this is. You dont actually know what this is. All of your stories are based on one single core belief: that you are a real person in a real world. -

You didn't perceive the honey get inserted into the jar from the factory either. You didn't perceive the jar get made in a glass factory. These are stories happening now. The story of someone that put poison in your honey is a story happening now. If there is poison in honey, there is poison in honey. If there is honey in bucket and not a jar, there is honey in bucket. -

This includes memories/thoughts of "when he put poison in the honey". Can you find anything other than this?Try it out, and let me know if you can find anything else than whatever is happening. -

@zeroISinfinity remember what you're experiencing isn't an integral part of waking up. It is what is happening there, You are untouched by the drama. Love is always fresh, you can't know it, you cant pin it down. No words and descriptions comes close to it, it is innocent and it gets corrupted by confusing the concepts of "it" for the truth of "it". -

Disorientation, confusion, ungroundedness, disconnect from the game and people in it. Hopelessness, loneliness, hell. Awakening can lead to hell or heaven. You get a glimpse of heaven, then you grap onto it, then you enter a state of searching for something else stronger than "normal" people have. A fall from grace into hell, a continuous conscious search for yourself, not an unconscious search like normal people have. Normal day to day life loses its meaning when you've seen yourself, you are now a character in a game looking for the screen. -

Dying laughing is how I want to go! Dont worry about this, it's only thoughts. I've never heard of anyone literally dying from laughter. You can definitely get an idea that you are dying of laughter on LSD. But in my case, these ideas like this have always just been paranoid thoughts that felt very real, but nothing more. -
I'm in the same situation. I am pretty happy being alone, occasionally I will get a feeling of loneliness or longing after comradeship. I haven't been with them for a while, if they are not going to make contact I won't either. I'm trying to cut them out, but it can be hard, especially when you've known them for over a decade.

1. For those who have come to know that they are God, what did this change for you? Nobody knows. 2. How many times did you have the realization before it stuck with you? The realization is that you are and have always been "God". There is no one for "it" to stick to. Only an apparently seperate person needs to know. 3. Did you tell people you know? Nobody knows. 4. How did your relationships change? Enlightenment isn't something added to your experience to make you feel or be a better person. It is a falling away of the need for something to happen. And there is no relationships, everything is fresh and ever changing. 5. What did you do first, as God? I took a fat shit and played angry birds ? -

All stories about what could have been, are just stories. There are no real mistakes. What happened is what happened, you are in no control and you can't change what happened. Everything is always already forgiven. Everything could happen, but chances are it won't be as bad as your thoughts make you believe. Thoughts can often spiral into the worst scenarios and it can be hard to see through the illusion if you are emotionally attached. My mom has bad lungs and works with kids. She got news that one of the kid's mother has contracted the virus. Yesterday, scenarios of how it would be like after my mom is gone started appearing, but it was followed by a realization that my mother ISNT dead, she is right here, beside me. The story in my mind was not true, it was just a projection into one possible reality out of infinite possibilities. This often happens in relationships. You get so attached to a person that the fear of losing them makes you blind to their presence right now. -

He has some good points, but his words are of the dream. Ego is a position that experiences. The ego might dissolve, but as soon as you KNOW that it dissolved you're back into a position. There is no ground to stand on, ego is standing on an illusory ground of knowing. The ground of knowing is the unknown appearing as something known. This isn't actually known. Look around, does this ACTUALLY make sense if you don't have a story about what, how or where you are? You're only aware of something when you're looking for something else than this. -

Edited my comment about the word "idiot" just before you replied. There is no real character and there is no real game. How will the imaginary character realise it is imaginary? How can illusion break free of itself? Every action from illusion adds to the density/realness of the illusion. There is nothing real, there is no ground to stand on, this is free fall. This can not be known, this just is what it is, it makes no sense at all and nobody knows it. There is no character over here that knows anything. -
traveler replied to Joker_Theory's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
An idiot like you can not understand it, because an idiot like you believes that it is a thing. An idiot like you is like a video game character chasing coins in a game. The idiot thinks a big treasure will someday be found and that this will finally be the end of its miserable search/existence. An idiot character in a game can not realise that it is not real, because it already isn't. It is absolutely hopeless. Hehe Btw the word "idiot" has no relevance to the message whatsoever, just there to put a little spin on it, to freshen it up a bit. ? -

There is no you to become awake. There is no point. Everything is as it is, for no one. You have no control, you do not exist. You the person will never get to the end goal, it is an illusion. Everything is already what it is, there is only preference when there is position. What IS does not care what appears. Right now you are what you seek. If there is movement towards something, that is what is. If there is dissatisfaction or boredom appearing, that is what is, appearing as that, totally complete for no one. The person will have resistance to this message, because it doesn't fit into the person's story of what this is. Some will say that what I am talking about is spiritual bypassing or avoidance of god realization or whatever. What the person can't see is that its whole journey is an attempt to escape wholeness, or call it god if you like. Looking for God realization, whatever, whatever, etc. is an attempt to avoid the fact that you are totally hopeless. The person is not even recognized by wholeness, there is absolutely no seperation. There is no one outside of god or wholeness to know anything, it is wholeness for no one. It can not, not be complete, because there is not two. -
Imagine you're a hamsterwheel. A hamsterwheel turning by itself. Within you, a hamster spawns. You begin to identify with the hamster and you (the hamster) are now seemingly making the wheel turn. The hamster runs and runs and runs, the wheel keeps turning. After a while the hamster gets tired of running, it wants to know why.. One day the hamster hears something called non duality. It hears great things such as liberation, merging with god, bliss, union, absolute love. This makes the hamster excited, this gives it hope. So the hamster starts running again, it runs faster than it have ever ran before. It is determined to reach this thing/state, it is determined to realise non duality. After years of running the hamster suddenly forgets that it is running and falls of the wheel. What is left? The wheel, turning. The hamster wasn't doing anything, it wasn't getting anywhere. Everything it strived for was an illusion. It's whole life, it's whole story was an illusion. The wheel was already complete, hamster in it or not. You were a hamster, you felt all of it's experiences, the tough times, the good times, the realness of it all. You were sure that you were getting somewhere, that you were on a journey. That you were real... But just like that, the hamster never was, and the wheel keeps turning ?

The ego is not the one who jumps away when a bus is about to hit the body. The body will usually jump away by itself. The ego is the one who ask "should I?" - Jim Newman (paraphrase) -

Yeah over analysing is a pretty common byproduct of picking up lots of non dual concepts I would imagine. I too am prone to over analysing when uncomfortable thought patterns and physical sensations show up. The overanalysing/trying to get rid of it, is what actually fuels it/makes it "real". If the thoughts doesn't attach to a personal story, it will flow right through like every other thought. But patterns of thought/deep held beliefs are tricky, as they seemingly attach to something unconscious/something that doesn't allow them to enter, and therefore doesn't allow them to flow through. When I say loud it can mean all forms of thought. Images and past memories can be loud to, in that they cloud/limit perception. When thought totally ceases, it is quite surprising/shocking. You realize non of your stories are real and all there is left is this unknown field of sensation appearing. -
traveler replied to Galyna's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Yea Ive been there for a while. I guess you could say, the ego is slowly dying into what is happening. Do you get these huge transitions from loud thoughts to absolute stillness? I get these at night sometimes and it has made me realize the actual power of thoughts. The ego is an all engulfing trance like state. Awakening is literally like waking up from a dream. The stories that was put on top of this "isness" simply falls away. What is left is the total unknowingness that this is. This is the opposite of what the ego wants. The ego wants to know what this is, because knowing creates meaning and security. This can be terrifying, as there is actually no reason to why this IS. Its total anarchy. -
