they are pretty much the same psychedelics has a high success rate of producing peak experiences, but they also fail for many too. of course you can also get peak experiences without psychedelics. -
of course we are all using psychedelics differently. we are all unique and different (as humans) due to genetics and upbringing. In regards to awakening and enlightenment there is no clear-cut default way for anyone. we all have to walk the path ourselves in our own unique way. Of course God has laid out some breadcumbs, such as pychedelics and the art of meditation, but it's still unique for everyone.

Would there be any room for so-called 'pleasant experiences' if there was no room for so-called 'unpleasant experiences? Unpleasant - pleasant: it's a dualistic construction of your selfish survivalistic mind. Of course, for 'a separate self' that HAS to survive, it is necessary to differentiate between pleasant and unpleasant experiences. What would a world look like without any personal self-agenda (conscious or unconscious)? Would there be any judgments left about the world anymore? Would there be any resistance left to reality? How could one not smile when one sees that there is absolutely nothing going on but Love's Infinite Play of Nothing? Go beyond your mind. When the illusion of the separate self has been fully seen-through -- when the ego has fully surrendered to Oneness -- it doesn't make sense anymore to talk about pleasant and unpleasant parts of reality. Existence, Reality is seen for what it is: one empty infinite eternal perfect experience/happening/dream unfolding out of itself out of play/love ... That's what it is ... this <3 -
You treat yourself badly. Your unconsciously don't think you deserve love, so if someone actually came and loved you unconditionally and treated you with respect, your ego wouldn't buy it, and you will push them away. Practice self love man❤️??

"It's especially weird because someone mentioned that there could be something in my past that pushes me towards him... but I am clueless as to what that could be. " how is your relationship to your father? has your father always been a straight up nice guy or does he have some dark sides/bad tendencies towards your mother (i'd guess they have broken up, but correct me if im wrong)
-
you let him back in because you hate yourself -- i.e. you dont love yourself very much -- and have close to zero self worth. I dont even understand why you are making this post. Cut him fucking out of your life and start treating yourself like you'd treat your best friend! love you <3

there are no parts. Or there is, of course, if you imagine there is, e.g. "this is a tree, this is a chair". But beyond imagination, there is raw reality which is always whole and one and absolutely empty. This is pure being, yes, and this pure being is so empty of substance that it can only become full of deep peace, inner joy and uncondtional love. -
lol you can react and still be grounded and not-attached. When you are very wise, you understand that the other part sometimes needs a proper reaction=)

Nirvana isn't something to attain. There is no one to attain it. You are Nirvana itself. Nirvana is always the case. The question is if you are willing to see it or not. Most aren't, since this "seeing" presupposes the death of (complete letting go of) the individual separate self, which most aren't willing to let go of, since they identify so much with it (their personhood ... oh this sweet, sweet, bittersweet illusion <3). Give up. Surrender. Let go. <3 -

The question you should be asking yourself is this: do you care about yourself? And what do you mean by 'myself' ? Contemplate. -
WaveInTheOcean replied to blankisomeone's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
It's all imagination/dream/concept/ideas .... BUT: there are different layers/levels to this infinite dream of God/Love/Nothingness. The body, as well as all other apparant "material" forms is one layer of concept. Above this is apparant ego/person/separate self; it is even more abstract. Above this is family, community, society, global world, etc. Death *as a SUBJECIVE experience* is the shedding of all that isn't real. If your buddy dies, then this it is just you projecting out onto 'this world' that now some part of it has "died" , (your friend). This is just your own personal (selfish) interpretation of what is happening. You could as well say that your buddy got alive. It's a matter of perspective, narrative... what story do YOU want to create/hear? :-) You could as well just say that nothing is happening. It's just experience unfolding in infinity out of itself. This is nothingness. This is God. Love. The body is much more 'real' (but still unreal, still an imaginary distinction of infinity) than the ego. At least you can fucking see the body. The separate self, aka ego, is nowhere to be found:-) No ego disappear, cos there wasn't even an ego in the first place. All that disappear (during death) is the illusion of the ego ... the illusion of the separate self. -
Not if combined with psychedelics:-) Spiritual practice (contemplation, retreats, meditation, self-inquiry, reading, watching videos, etc.) go hand-in-hand with pychedelics. They amplify each other.

You decide ??? -
WaveInTheOcean replied to JackL's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
I'd suggest going for only 1 trip (since it's a short retreat). And I'd say shrooms (but LSD is probably fine too, just my preference). I'd suggest somewhere between 2,0 and 3,5 g as a dosage. Up to you. Less is more sometimes. Perhaps 2,5 g? If you do LSD then between 100-150 ug, perhaps 100ug is fine if you know the LSD is of good quality. You have to leave time between trips to integrate, I'd say. I feel the after affects of a strong psychedelic trip for days afterwards. For instance, meditation is often (much) deeper for many days after a psychedelic trip. Do the pychedelic in the middle of your retreat. So if your retreat is friday-sunday, do it saturday. Bliss to you! EDIT: If you decide, anyway, to do shrooms/LSD 2 days in a row (which I again, dont recommend, but up to you!), then yes, there will be *some* cross-tolerance given the trips are only 1 day apart. It depends on dosage. LSD lasts a few hours longer, so it would be wise to do the shrooms first (to minimize tolerance; the longer a drug works in the brain, the more tolerance you build to it. If you do 2,5 grams of shrooms, then you would probably need to do 125-150 ug LSD the next day to feel what 100ug LSD would normally feel like). -

Everything that happens / has happened is perfect. Why? Because it happened!:> -

dont be so tough on yourself meditation "should" be a relaxing into the present moment you are allowed - of course - to use whatever "hacks" needed to help you getting absorbed into the present moment. meditating in nature often helps or just outside where you can hear some ambient sounds, like the wind. listening to some quiet ambient music can help smoking a cigarette beforehand can help (;D) taking psychedelics can help ( a lot xD) find out whatever works for you my man <3 -
WaveInTheOcean replied to actualizing25's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
God = no one <3 If God was 'someone', then God wouldn't be infinite God is God ... is the very fabric and structure of existence ... reality ... which is you; the real you - when you get to the rock bottom of it all. -
WaveInTheOcean replied to actualizing25's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
It doesn't bring anyone happiness per se, as awakening is a deep recognition that there is no one to be either happy or depressed. But in the emptiness of existence is a natural peace, a natural joy. This presupposes, however, that the ego has fully surrended to Love/Oneness, which takes a lot of consciousness-work❤️ -
WaveInTheOcean replied to Breakingthewall's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
yep, it's a duality. as i was trying to point to: if you see that the inside depends on the outside and vice versa, then you'll start seeing that Reality is 0nE. Every duality is a strange loop, basically. Strange loops are everywhere, simply because reality is fundamentally non-dualistic (One/Nothing/Absolute) and not dualistic. It APPEARS dualistic however. It makes sense (from the pov of a human) to talk about dualities such as good-bad, inside, outside. It appears as though there is a world of opposites; this is the ego's job of creating this apparant dualistic world, wherein a separate self shall -by all means- survive. -
WaveInTheOcean replied to Breakingthewall's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
A thought is energy, play, nothing. You get your thoughts from the outside, which in turn get its thoughts from the inside. A never ending strange loop -

Thank you ❤️i'll consider it, still feels like i have a lot to integrate / some ego left to surrender. It's stressful to work in a kindergarten? Hopefully i get accepted at a bachelor of Psychology at a Danish university next year - psychedelic therapy is the future ??? -

perception implies a subject-object-duality . All that you can perceive is dependent on a subject perceiving an object (thought, body, emotion, tree, whatever). But when you get deep into non-duality you begin to understand that the distinction between subject (me, ego, self) and object (other or body or world) is artificial; it isn't grounded in anything true. The apparent (illusory) dualites of life exist only to serve survival. It's all one/nothing when you get to the bottom of it (if you dare to, hehe). This will destroy you, absolutely. All boundaries must collapse. The Self (God/Nothingness/Infinite Love) isn't something that can be perceived or found. Because it is ALWAYS the case. Everything is *THAT*, -- You are That -- and it is absolutely empty. It's right in front of your eyes... not to be perceived, but to BE. In fact, perception, and your constant insisting on trying to conclude something 'true' about yourself, or the world, is what hinders you from 'becoming IT' (though you already are it). Everything is the Pure Infinite Love-state. To seek it is to lose it. What hinders one in getting carried away? That one is trying to get to something 'true'. To get to the truth is to get carried away. To get carried away IS the truth ... - what else is there to do? Lose yourself to find Yourself. -
