Healing takes time. Sure, there may be a faster way to heal but I think being mad at yourself, getting frustrated, having doubts, because things aren't going as fast as you expected isn't the right way to go about it and won't help you. I began following a psychologist on social media who focuses on no bullshit approaches to healing. Very basic and digestible practices that include a specific type of journaling and keeping one small promise to yourself every day, among other things. It may or may not resonate with you, her name is Nicole Perrera, The Holistic Psychologist and her work, even in small amounts, has helped me a lot. Something else to consider is to hold your anxiety. Sit with it. Meditation helps with this. Go fully into it. Anxiety is a messenger, a call to discover something greater about yourself. I wish you luck, keep exploring -
I would start with loving and accepting yourself with where you are. You dont want to do anything at all? Then dont. Lay in bed all day and love yourself hard. I like to give myself hugs. When you do have inspiration to do something, do not wait a moment and grab that opportunity. Try your best not to judge yourself, like saying what you're doing isn't good enough. Even the smallest thing counts, like maybe you meditate for one minute. Care for your body, like if you enjoy showers, smelling good, having clean sheets, getting fresh air, do that type of stuff, if you can If you forgive people and you feel bad about it that may not be true forgiveness. Forgiveness takes time, if you aren't ready, then dont. Try not to beat yourself up about it. You are allowed the time to figure that out.

Showed me how to find my life purpose (obviously). Which was so very important to me but I was totally lost on how to discover it. I now have a real direction in life feels so so good. It worked too, I am building my life purpose now.

But, in the context of the issue, isn't it valid that it is a human life? Is there value in taking it far like that? -

So then what? Are we just supposed to live in this arbitrary world without making any real stance in life? -
I feel super grateful to Leo and his work every day. He is incredibly smart and has a really broad understanding of reality that most have no idea could even exist. Leo has done so much to get to where he is today, and I feel inspired to work to have even a sliver of his work ethic.

Women Who Run With the Wolves -
While a lot of it is to feel good, stay well in the short term, perform well, a lot of it has to do with this fear. We become obsessed because we are trying to avoid death.

@LfcCharlie4 why do you think they get reduced anxiety and stress? It's because they realize Truth at the experience of their body. It's not some random byproduct. -

I don't think it matters what other people say about meditation and whether or not its useless. Go to a 10 day course, start a home practice, and figure it out for yourself. The technique and its results will speak for itself to you. If at that point you find it useless then you have your answer but it's foolish to take others' word for it before trying it out for yourself. -
You could google why bread isn't good. But I'll list a few reasons, it's very dry and as such dehydrating, it's highly processed which can cause health problems in the long run, grains are not an ideal human food as they are difficult do digest, I think Leo mentions bread is bad because he doesn't do many carbs so, that makes sense from that perspective. Gluten has been shown to increase risk of autoimmune diseases, non organic wheat has glyphosate. Some health camps say sourdough is your best bet, and that's because the fermentation helps break down the grain making it easier for your body to digest. Personally, I don't eat it for the gluten reason, and the dry reason. But I sometimes have it and don't freak out about it, but overall I steer clear.

No worries, I am just now logging back in myself. Wow I totally see what you are saying. I haven't had the experience that the illusory self knows and that freedom lies in unknowing. We may be talking about different things, but to me, I was blind until I started to awaken. I see in some round about way that freedom is in unknowing, maybe unknowing all that I think I know, which would I think, come from a knowing itself:) -

@remember the quote is from "Remember, Be Here Now" by Ram Dass. -

@VeganAwake Example: when I first began to learn more about this work I kept wanting to always be in that place of knowing, so I would default to pretending when things weren't flowing, because I knew the state I wanted to be in, but wasn't advanced enough on the path to act that way. I would try to mindset my way there but that just resulted in the pretending. I first read about pretending in Remember, Be Here Now, where he has a quote that says something like, "they can always tell you're pretending" and boy that stuck with me haha. -

You can't really just stop pretending through your mindset. You have to over time build to that point. -
@Farnaby definitely not bad to focus on health. I just think it's an interesting aspect that can come into play during a health journey. Thanks for the response

It sounds like you found a good one, I too have recently had success with my now therapist, after trying many. She is a psychotherapist who specializes in contemplative psychology and she always asks me such good questions to get me thinking. She is very professional, never talks about herself and takes her job seriously. I think after a time though, therapy can be a crutch, and that we shouldn't be in therapy forever.

I think it goes full circle. Play IS serious business. Ever watch children play? It is a very serious endeavor for them. They become very focused, involved, enveloped in the experience.

The world most needs love. My life purpose is using my love of creative expression to help others discover their unique gifts. I am sticking my neck out for my business, for my creations, for my performances. I am creating what I am because I want to live a life that I am passionate about and that contributes positively to the people around me. The most important thing to do in the world is to love. Thank you for your questions.
