  4. The Sadhus smoke alot, only you can know for sure, just try it, I smoke weed very rarely but when I do it gives my ego a kick in the a** but maybe I'm a bit sensitive.
  5. This has been discussed a billion times and Leo has spoken about this in his many of his videos too.
  6. haha I pretty much live and breathe emotions so thats not a problem... but yes being mindful and going deeper into reality is something I want to work at and finding my authentic "self"
  7. What are some habits that would be good for a musician singer/songwriter specifically? So far I have few but I'd like to see what I'm missing. *Composing daily! *Playing your instrument daily! *Researching and listening mindfully to all types of music including music from other continents *Mindfulness/Meditation *Reading daily including fiction to learn how to craft stories and how to write poetically *Writing lyrics daily! Very important to keep your creativity at its peak *Practicing singing *Learning music theory everyday and applying what you learn So thats my list, I probably missed something, anyone got an idea?
  8. @Nahm Thanks, ill check it out! I usually watch videos by Eric Arcenaux, hes a great teacher!
  9. @Nahm Still working on that, I hope to find a singing teacher actually, Its hard to learn it by yourself. @BjarkeT Ive heard alot about that! I'll implement it for sure!
  10. @Dan Arnautu Thanks man! All solid advice! Could you elaborate on how to practice creativity? It sounds like something I could really use!
  11. I agree with Charlotte, just notice that all weekdays are just concepts floating in the collective mental soup, dont get locked down by cultural ideas and youre free to just do whatever you please any"time"!
  12. @Ether Freestyling has its place sure but I prefer writing, its much more meticulous imo. @Vipassana I use Pages to organize what I write, I have OneNote too but I haven't really learned how to use it properly yet.
  13. "Today a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, that were all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream and we're the imagination of ourselves" - Bill Hicks The longer I live the more I realized how brilliantly that sums it all up. What an amazing man he was.
  14. The funny thing about laziness is that there is no cure for it except... doing the work! How do get my ass off the couch? By standing the f*** up! The ego loves to stall your time by creating a big problem out of laziness when its really not.
  15. @Dodo haha I must be going dyslectic
  16. Heres how the conversation in my mind plays out after quitting coffee for months and still having cravings. Lower Self - "Dude you should drink a cup of coffee today, just today, and make it a big cup! Youre not addicted anymore so its fiiiine, we can do it as an experiment, for fun!" Higher Self - "No I dont need it! I need to stay focused and present" Lower Self - "But it makes you more productive, all your creative breakthroughs have come from coffee!" Higher Self - "The breakthroughs came when they came, I just happened to be on coffee, and I've had breakthroughs without it many times" Lower Self - "BUUUUT HIGHER SELF!" *lower self goes silent and starts plotting next move* This is just to show you how severly underestimated caffeine is as a drug, its been 3 months and I still have cravings for something so "innocent" BE(A)WARE!
  17. @sarapr Like I said in prior posts, I'm just sharing my experience, the negatives I felt were PERSONAL, I mostly wanted to see if anyone had similar feelings.
  18. Well I substituted morning coffee for a morning meditation habit . Yeah association was a big part of it but I also liked the motivation and energy it gave me, but I want to find that intrinsically instead.
  19. How do you define "rich kid"? There are many types of rich kids out there, be careful not to stereotype.
  20. I need my daily dose of Leo, thats the true subtle addiction
  21. According to my research its actually difficult to find anything negative written about caffeine, there are many good things written on it. However I only quit because of the direct negative effects I felt, I don't doubt that there are certain benefits but for me they aren't worth it.
  22. Its not just the US my friend! Its Europe and even China's smaller cities are building Starbucks and other types of coffeehouses (I lived there). Coffee is pretty euphoric for me, but not at all on the same level as coke.
  23. @Joseph Maynor The first time I detoxed from coffee after a 7 year habit/addiction I had a headache for a week and brainfog, I know where you're coming from.
  24. A feeling I cant quite place.
