  1. I challenge anyone to find the mind! You cant! There is none! Only thoughts and images appearing in awareness. Even the dictionary admits its a model or a complex, a sum of parts. a : the element or complex (see 1complex 1) of elements in an individual that feels, perceives, thinks, wills, and especially reasons 1.The body feels 2.What perceiver? 3.Thoughts appear by themselves of out nothing. 4.Wills? The body effects thoughts and thoughts effect the body, there is no will inbetween. 5.How do you define reasonable? A psychopath thinks its reasonable to stab someone with a meatcleaver.
  2. Sorry to hear about your friendsometimes life shows you its ugly side so we know where we dont want to be i guess. I know its bad, I FEEL thats its bad, my body is so heavy the day after, obviously it is working hard to repair itself and it feels awful. I knew all this before I tried it, I wasnt even remotely interested in it until I did it ”Why do such a shitty drug when there are more or less safe ones you can do instead!” But I got offered and... you know the rest.

  5. @Charlotte Im trying to just face it head on, brute forceing myself to talk to people until something just cracks and I see it for what it is...a bullshit ”shyness” story Ive been carrying since my early teens, but it takes work.
  6. Learn to sit and accept the feelings, do an hour of Strong Determination Sitting everyday (if possible). Its good that you have hobbies but dont distract yourself from how you feel. Best of luck! Youll get better soon!
  7. @favourthebold Its absolutely NOT a place I want to be in the future, the antithesis of it actually, but thats why its tricky, when you start out doing something you can never how it can snowball, I dont want to know to be honest. Just gonna cut out all the crappy distractions in my life and meditate more. I wish I could find a psychedelic to try but its definitely not the right time in my life for that now.
  8. The mind is like a carousel, it spins and spins and spins, meditation is when the ride stops and you let the passengers finally get off and rest. One of the most important habits ive ever picked up.
  9. @Growf Leaving earlier usually helps, you can get pretty wasted but if you get a good 6-7 hours at night youll feel way better in the morning.
  10. Up, down, north, south, left, right are all made-up distinctions.
  11. Try doing it in moderation, I know its tricky but it works if you have good ”self-control”. If you really have to get smashed then pop some magnesium pills before you go sleep and drink a jug of water.
  12. I consider myself an HSP and I wouldnt say it makes it easier, if anything it makes me more prone to monkeying around and making up stories in my head. I do feel like being mindful is easier though, I can focus very easily on an object without distraction.
  13. @Charlotte Wow, that’s sweet of you, felt a bit emotional when I read that... thanks for the support. I’m not usually bored, I actually live a fairly introverted simple life that I enjoy, the problem is a slight anxiety at social gatherings I believe... I want something extra when I’m at a party to take the edge off.
  14. @aurum But its scary to admit that I have no control... I think that why its best to stay a 1000 miles away from it so to speak. I might move to Uni in another city in the autumn, I think that would help. Thanks for your reply
