  1. If you think about it though, this is already the case with many vaccines. For example, I couldn't enroll into a US' public university without demonstrating I have received necessary vaccines even before covid came around. So yes, the government does have the ability to do so. And it's reasonable so yes I do agree with communities adopting such protocol to protect everyone.
  2. LSD can definitely do what you're asking.
  3. @Username I'm confused, do you mean to say that the vaccine is harder on younger people? I have been told that younger people experience stronger effects because our immunity is more reactive. When I got my booster shot, I was a little concerned with how my heart felt, so I can see why it appears to be a concern. I essentially felt sick and like my immunity was being challenged 12-24 hours after I got the booster shot. Who's to say my body wouldn't react worse with an actual covid virus for a longer period? Nonetheless, today I feel fine, and I weight lift, and jog 4 miles with no problems. Everything is back to normal.
  4. yeah I have felt unusual heart sensations 24 hours after my shot. But honestly, the fear is unreasonable. There are legit millions of 80-90 years old who have taken the shot and are fine.
  5. I am not saying we need to vaccinate ourselves from every virus. That’s not the dilemma at hand. the dilemma is a known virus, that’s been identified, to kill people, have potentially long term health risks, and have high spread. Vaccines don’t cure it, but they reduce spread and severity of its effects, which helps reduce hospitalization. And furthermore there is science and doctors that back it up. so I’m here just to learn why in spite of that information people won’t choose to get vaccinated for this one virus. And I got some basic information: ——- some don’t like mandate and are protesting it some don’t see the point because boosters will be needed in the future and they don’t want shots every 6months some think it’s unnecessary if you’re healthy and some may even doubt the healthiness of the vaccine. and it goes right down to, it’s all a lie/hoax to mind control people. That seems to be the gist of it. —— at the same time I also think, if you’re upset your choice is limiting your freedom, there’s also a responsibility on anti-Vax person to understand why from a grounded place.
  6. @Salvijus ? @PepperBlossoms very true and I can see that. It’s all about how we interpret and create a relationship around it
  7. I disagree. Actually what you described in your first two sentenced are accurate and is exactly what the concept of sin entails. Except to make it full circle, you are God punishing your ego, for going against your true nature and the guilt is the result of self-honesty about your behavior and nature. It's the same radical feelings that vegans feel when they realize they've been eating tortured animals and they feel disgust with themselves. It may not be what the word means to surface-level fundamentalist christians, but it doesn't change the true origin of its word imo. When I try to understand christianity, I don't look at Joel Ostein, Baptists, evangelicals, or our family's on Facebook (lol); I study Jesus, saints, monks, mystics, and the Bible. By believing one a sinner, one is actually being honest about one's ego, especially to one's ego. It's essentially an alcoholic admitting to oneself that he/she is an alcoholic. That's the value of it. It's opposite of what you say, by believing you're not a sinner, you're helping your ego survive actually and continue selfishness. You set no boundaries except whether something is good for yourself or not. "there's no such thing as sin" - so let me lie to protect myself, let me steal to survive, let me fuck this prostitute (because she chose this profession, I don't need to examine why she is here in the first place) By believing you're a sinner, you're challenging to ego to unravel into unselfishness. Perhaps we have different conceptions of what an ego is. Even if you say, I don't believe in sin, but I believe that lying is wrong, stealing is wrong, etc, then we are agreement anyways. You just explain it different in your personal mind. That being said, I still think its okay if the model does not vibe with your personality, and even if we disagree on what sin means, I hope you can see that people such as myself who do subscribe to Christian theology view sin as a way to identify selfish/excessive behavior, which is good so that you can self-actualize. @Yarco No offense, but I personally think you have corrupted way of seeing Christian's model of God. It's not sucking God's dick, it is aligning with who you actually are, which is Love. I invite you to explore a deeper understanding of the religion.
  8. I personally think body counts matters in both men and women, not just in your future relationships, but in relationship with yourself. but I know people here have very different opinions.
  9. That does sound glorious, but honestly you guys probably wouldn't cause im chill af, and I don't have a hard time following rules . I might be misunderstanding you here, but I am or not one person is deciding these mandates, it's a collective choice. I am saying it's a given that individuals have to follow the collective choice because living in a society entails that. In the same way, it's not appropriate to drive 60mph in a school zone. I might not have kids and I might even be careful, but I still don't have the right to do that. I personally have family members who refuse the vaccines, I still love the heck out of them, hang out with them, and I don't bother them about it because it's not important to our relationship. so in other words, a healthy person may choose to not vaccinate, and that is fine, but they are living in a society, and there are basic expectations that come with that. It's also important to recognize that some people's health is not in their control. For example, part of the reason why I do get the vaccine + boosters is because I don't have a spleen. So I take every reasonable precaution I can get when it comes to my health. The problem is we are suffering!
  10. It's simple guys. You either listen to yourself, experts, some person on the internet. It's your choice. Other people are making choices and now you're getting locked out of society because of your choices. This is normal and has always been the case in surviving as a social specie. If you don't want to get vaccinated, okay cool. No one is putting a gun to your head. but don't complain when you cannot participate in society because you don't want to follow its rules.
  11. Actually that would be worse thing to realize. This is akin to saying, there is no such as thing as immoral or harmful behavior which practically speaking is not true. I'd bet there is behavior that you believe, or at least act as if there is harmful behavior/events like factory farms, burning down the rain forests, and all organisms within it. Even if it is not ultimately true, it does not serve everyone to act like there is no such thing as harmful behavior. What's better to realize is that you can be free from these harmful behavior by practicing quality virtuous like temperance, justice, wisdom, and courage. Which is why we have the 10 commandments and/or the Dharma. If we chose not to make distinctions about our behavior, we would be dead. This is why rituals, practices, and cultures have developed, for harmony and survival which is essential for the health of a society.
  12. The only reason you think this is because you've been programmed with these narratives so consistently that you believed them. I know the perfect cure for this. You need to go outside and actually meet these people. Volunteer at a homeless shelter, meet people of different ethnicities locally, or travel, and talk with them. Listen to their story.
  13. Write consistently. Read some good writers/books. Find someone who you think is an excellent writer and learn from them through their work. Try to imitate them for fun. The steaming service Master Class has several different kinds of writers available to learn from. And I'd say, develop a philosophical background for asking good questions. Just reading a chapter in Plato's Republic expanded my thinking process significantly. Some writers and books I've specifically enjoyed are Terence McKenna (True Hallucinations), Alan Watts (The Wisdom of Insecurity), Paulo Coelho (The Alchemist), Mark Twain (The adventures of Tom Sawyer), John Steinbeck (Of mice and men), Shakespeare, and Walt Whitman (Leaves of green)
  14. Yeah man, its Good. It's good to realize you are a sinner so you can wake up and develop to be Christ-like. Are you going to look at a rapist and be like, "yeah man, it's all good bro! Keep raping dude!" ?? The Hail Mary Prayer is often used in conjunction with the Rosary which is essentially a mantra to envelope you in love, humbleness, and forgiveness; 3 excellent energies that lead you closer to being in union with God. are you confused by the language? Did someone hurt you in church? It's okay to not vibe with the model, you might prefer another, but I'd disagree if you said there's no value in it.
  15. You might actually be great at communicating feelings and the person is not so good at handling it or communicating their feelings. Nonetheless, you would like them to communicate more and you can change that. "If you want to change the way people respond to you, change the way you respond to people." - Timothy Leary
  16. I think it's nonsense and weird. For example, his whole explanation of demons and how they work is strange, because how would he know this? In addition, there's no biblical reference to explain how to demon function. He says that "every demonic realm has a contract and expiration date..." (2:48-2:52). I am confident that it is not biblical and pretty much Hollywood inspired lol. It's also just more reasonable to believe that human being are negligent and thats why the events occurred.
  17. Leo I agree with you! I really resonate with your description of the homeless and solutions for them! @Preety_India I agree with your view on victimhood as its form of suffering, that's a good catch!
  18. I wish you would provide some sources so I actually see what you are talking about. If I look up Singapore which had early and high vaccination rates, they've have had significantly less covid hospitalization. https://www.statista.com/statistics/1103601/singapore-coronavirus-active-cases-breakdown/ "As of November 18, 2021, 1,435 people in Singapore were hospitalized due to COVID-19. Out of these, 226 cases were severe and required oxygen supplementation, while 113 were in critical condition in the ICU. To date, 625 deaths have so far been attributed to COVID-19." This is way less than USA. If I am wrong, please tell me and give me some evidence and rationale.
  19. Because we live in semi-democratic societies where people literally vote for you to not have freedom because you refuse to gain immunity. For example, I live very close to NYC and I love visiting sometimes, it's a small area and highly populated. It's mandatory there to be vaccinated to enjoy any events or restaurants. A person who is unvaccinated increases the risk of spreading the disease, so why should the people of NYC let you in? Why don't you take responsibility for your decision instead of blaming the government? @Arcangelo So you don't actually believe the vaccine is risky. You just don't like the mandate? Why not like get the vaccine and be against the mandate? isn't wearing a dildo unreasonable versus taking a vaccine that increase population immunity? Taking a vaccine that creates antibodies against Covid and reduces the spread, seems reasonable to make it mandatory to get it, IF you want to enter areas where community members are. @rnd If most people in the hospital are unvaccinated than how do you conclude that vaccines have 0 effect on how a body reacts the virus? Do you have any resources, data, rationale based on observations? Furthermore, the rationale is that vaccinations do eventually wane in effectiveness, I believe it is 6 months, which is why it is encouraged to get a booster. Do you have any data that support that vaccinated + boosters are going to hospital at the same rate as unvaccinated people?
  20. A lot of people are mentally ill and come from broken families.
  21. @Arcangelo So why are you choosing not to get vaccinated? what are you afraid of?
  22. We already are home. I don't think chasing relief is a good idea. God does not chase relief. God is always there for you to unite, and transcend suffering, that is the ego's relief. It is you who feels like you are not home every time, you hold material objects as more important than who you truly are. If we are here to self-actualize and deepen our relationship with God (ourself) then it makes sense to make it all the way to end despite suffering. To me, it's a delusion created by the ego to kill your creation. If God wanted you dead, it would be so. Just my opinion though. In my experience, it all equalizes out into perfect peace in the end.
  23. never giving up consistency and persistency
  24. I understand why as a society we would allow it. but personally, I don't think suicide is ever a good idea. as for the rationale? (the quote you posted) it's a bunch of bullshit lol.
  25. It is extreme, and possibly necessary. The CDC states "Population immunity makes it hard for a disease to spread from person to person." (Key Things to Know About COVID-19 Vaccines) + There is a whole community around you concerned about stopping the spread of the virus. And not trusting doctors and health sources is unwise, and impractical.
