When pundits rant about who won or lost a debate, mostly what they are doing is jerking each other off to justify their own careers.

I don't know how you can compare university education to tutorials. As far as deciding whether to go to university or not, that is your responsibility. No one can tell you how to live your life.
-
Maybe so, but then why such entitlement?
-
Don't go there. I was not commenting on her looks but the ignorant and biased things she says.

@Hojo No one owes you a damn thing. You should die alone and hungry in the streets for being lazy, foolish, and spoiled.
-
This is wrong. The best jobs are locked behind a skill-wall, not a paywall. It takes years of basic training to be able to do certain jobs. That's what university is for.

Megyn Kelly is such a cringey airhead. FoxNews material.

@Hojo You can't get a serious education online. What you get online is scraps and breadcrumbs. You're not going to get a solid art education by watching some online tutorials. You won't even know what you're missing. You won't even realize what education is. You are more likely to turn into an online ogre than some genius.

Actual art school would be very valuable for an artist. There is much to learn about making fine art. Great art is like a science.

I don't remember. I unpinned it because my understanding of Awakening radically changed since then. -
It's necessary and good for STEM fields. If you're not doing STEM then seriously consider non-university paths. It's way too easy to bullshit yourself with non-STEM fields because they aren't well-grounded and filled with human BS.

Keep in mind that Lacan was a psycho-analyst which means he's dealing with dysfunctional and truamatized psyches. That's sorta his bias. I am reading a book about a 15 year old girl who was kidnapped, imprisoned in a sex dungeon, and raped for 7 years. Now that's an encounter with The Real which no one here can fathom. Imagine integrating that. Lacan is showing you that you live in a comfortable little bubble of consciousness, ignorant to what lies beyond. Your Ekhart Tolle spirituality is not gonna save you when things get serious. -
Sure, that's a cool concept. You just gotta edit the videos well, so they aren't boring.

That's what years of science and academia do to the mind. -
That's a bar virtually no one is going to clear. Politics especially needs to be considered as it own highly specific domain. Very, very few people have good political takes even if they are otherwise intelligent.

Locked for low quality. I expect a higher level of political discourse on this forum. -
I contacted a few more, but most don't respond.

You should distinguish between a particular example of someone exhibiting some Yellow thinking vs them inhabiting a solid Yellow stage of development. Musk is an advanced thinker, but not in the domain of politics. And over the last few years Twitter has rotted his brain.

Maybe now you can appreciate why I'm not a post-modernist.

It's all projection.
