  1. @Capethaz Yes, daily practice is critically important. Without it, the rest falls flat on its face. Then again, people who want to masturbate will find a way to masturbate all the same. A bridge must be built from regular life into hardcore consciousness work. It doesn't happen overnight. Yes, there will be lots of masturbation, but gradually it tends to auto-correct if you're serious about this work. This forum isn't an endpoint, it's an entry-point. If everyone here adopts a mandatory minimum of 1 hr per day of consciousness work (either meditation or self-inquiry or yoga, or whatever), that will ensure that the mental-masturbation eventually auto-corrects itself.
  2. @Marco_the_Ape The Surface Laptop is quite good. Pricey though and spces aren't the best. Asus has some well-priced laptops. This newest one is quite awesome: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/asus-2-in-1-13-3-touch-screen-laptop-intel-core-i7-16gb-memory-512gb-solid-state-drive-smoke-gray/6077502.p?skuId=6077502 It's ridiculously thin and light, and uses Intel 8th Gen CPUs.
  3. @Self-Mastery I remember watching a few episodes of it a long, long time ago. It definitely helps if you're gonna attempt to read through GEB.
  4. @Monkey-man I understand that depressed feeling though. When I first read his first book, I was depressed for about a week.
  5. Yeah, something like that. What's amazing about Absolute Infinity is that it contains inside of it infinitely many infinities! (As Georg Cantor proved over 100 years ago). Every human being is an infinity unto him/her-self, so that's 7 billion infinities right there. But all are just infinitesimal parts of the ultimate infinity.
  6. Yes indeed. Moreover, the entire present moment is arising from nothing and dying into nothing every moment. Which is why mindfulness meditation is so effective. It allows you to be directly conscious of this as it's happening in real time. That's super powerful. It's as close to REAL as you can get. You can observe thoughts, or birds chirping, or body sensations arising.
  7. That math guy has 2 million subscribers??!! I have failed at life!
  8. @beastmode Video already out:
  9. @TylerW Try going to the gym, maybe, and hit the punching bag. Get that neurotic energy out of your system. Don't sit at home and stew.
  10. Already published, btw. @Monkey-man Because they take a lot of thought to do well. And if I had a long tail of them, I would have to keep re-shooting them because I'm learning more every week.
  11. Read his books, watch his videos. What more do you want? To have sex with him? Lol
  12. Oh the irony of that coming from Ayn Rand, lol.
  13. Brilliant! P.S. If there's nothing to do, there's everything to do
  14. Dark? Hehehe... You misread him. He describes an utter perfection. You can feel nondual love oozing from his work. You have to take into account the maddening humility of Nothingness. He wants it to take your breath away.
  15. It's precisely because God is so powerful, that you cannot see him. It's too much power for your little mind to hold. The Truth is so powerful, it doesn't need to show off to anyone. It humbly just cradles all of creation. Lol
  16. @LessonsSavesLifes Good advice never hinges on a person's credibility. Advice is an idea or principle which stands on it own because it has some universal truth behind it. Of course people are flawed. Which is why you're told not to idolize or believe in people, but rather just glean lessons from them and go about mastering your life. If you found out that I have sex with goats, would that make enlightenment any less true?
  17. It only feels lonely when you're out of touch with yourself. Find your True Self.
  18. Hehe, that's not contemplation, that's mental-masturbation. Notice that you're just trying to escape from doing the actual work. You cannot do consciousness work as a team effort, lol. Your desire for companionship in life is part of the whole problem here. You think companions exist but they really don't. You are all alone. That's something for you to sit with and cope with, not to escape from through fraternization.
