@Edvard No... actually the situation with science is much worse than I have yet described. I have only pointed out the tip of the iceberg. The fact that people defend science so readily, just goes to show the depth of the problem. People defend science in precisely the same way that Republicans defend Trump or Roy Moore, or Catholics defend pedophile priests. It's not an issue of truth, it's an issue of self-bias and partisanship. Science is incredibly difficult to criticize and reform precisely because it is held by our culture as the one standard of truth that all sane, intelligent people agree on. But the fact is, 99.99% of all the science you know is purely hearsay, purely belief-based for you. It only feels truer than religion because it's YOUR particular brand of religion. And as you know, people defend their religions to the death. Well.... surprise, surprise! That's precisely what you and folks like Sam Harris are doing. You just aren't aware you're doing it, because you've set a double-standard for yourself which excuses all your unjustified, faith-based beliefs as "but that's science!" Science is an ever-evolving cultural norm despite it being highly useful for manipulating reality. Precisely because it is so useful, you are willing to defend it to the death.

@Soulbass There are literally thousands of body exercises to shift around energy and stuff like that. You could spend your whole life studying that field and still not know them all. -
Let's see what tune you sing when someone pisses in your soup.

@Ether Yes, of course. You're free to do whatever you want. Just don't come here crying when you hate your life. Cause I will then say, that's just your opinion and you are free to suffer.

@Soulbass No idea what that is. -

That is not real yoga. I'm not talking about physical yoga here. Yogananda's organization still sends out Kriya yoga instructions through letter mail. You can sign up for it. Although I think the book I suggest is better. It reveals Yogananda's personal techniques plus a bunch more. -

@Greatnestwithin Search for "Kriya" in the Consciousness category. -

@Max_V With that book, you could, because it is a step by step manual. But usually you'd want guidance. There are yoga centers all around the world. Probably even in your city. Sadhguru offers intiation trainings all over the USA for example. With yoga, you don't want to be lazy about it. If you're serious, it's worth going to a live training. It's a life-changing thing. You have to understand that the deepest things cannot be learned through videos. -

@Greatnestwithin Yoga practices are usually kept secret and only disclosed through face-to-face training. Yoga is a highly technical art. You cannot learn it through videos. But lucky for you I have a book on my book list that discloses every secret Kriya yoga technique! It's a killer book. Could change your entire life if you actually do what it says. The only trick is, it requires radical openmindedness to comprehend. -

@Brandon Nankivell Step #1 to understanding consciousness: Never cite RationalWiki ever again. A rationalist wouldn't understand a chakra if his life depended on it. You want to understand chakras?Try doing Kriya yoga every day for a few years. Then let's talk. -
@Ryan_047 You have classic low self-esteem. That's a big obstacle that you need to seriously work out before you can move forward with other work. Do all the exercises in Nathaniel Branden's books on self-esteem. That's your solution. Take the exercises seriously and do them daily for a whole year. That should lead to a significant improvement. Also, I would recommend a few years of daily Holosync for you.

It's a phase one goes through. It might be necessary for some. But in the grand scheme of things it is quite immature and silly. Like I said, when you've got nothing better to do with your life, it will look very appealing and like a good use of your time.

@ppfeiff Outline looks pretty good. Thanks for posting it here for Mac users. After you've used it for a week, write us a mini-review.

Imagine your entire life ending. Like you woke up from bad dream. That is enlightenment. It is the end of life as you knew it. So yes, "you" will fear it. It is the mother of all fear. You entire life is designed around NOT finding enlightenment. Because that is what "life" is, unenlightenment. This is only a path for people who really care about truth, at the cost of death. This is hardcore stuff. It's very radical. This is not some feel-good Tony Robbins motivational mumbo-jumbo. This is deadly serious. You pretty much have to be willing to throw your entire life away to see what lies beyond. Which requires enormous curiosity and wisdom. Once you discover what lies on the other side of life, it will be so shocking, it kills you. The whole point is that you will not survive this process. But then again, you aren't gonna escape life alive no matter how you slice it. -
@beastmode I'm not anti-science. I am merely pointing out its limits and blindspots. The meaning of the universe's mystical order was realized thousands of years before the invention of mathematics.

@egoless Chronic fatigue is a very common issue that has hundreds of possible factors/causes. It's not an easy thing to sort out. Many books have been written on the subject. You'll have to take things into your own hands, do the research, and troubleshoot the problem one factor at a time. It can be frustrating, but if you can find a cure for yourself, it will be worth the effort. Energetic blockages are something to look into. Heavy metal toxicity is another thing to look into. Physical ailments are not just physical. They are often psychological in origin. Especially something like chronic fatigue.

@beastmode Even experience is ultimately illusory. Although it's preferable to concepts.

@egoless You set an intention for what you want to know, and you apply your keen observation skills to the issue. As you observe a thing with an open mind and genuine intent, the answer will be revealed with time spontaneously. See video: Learning = Observation Boredom is usually just an illusion you have to bust through by becoming more curious about the thing at hand. It sounds like you lack discipline, focus, and follow-through. Without those, you will never succeed at anything. You must learn to discipline yourself to have a work ethic. Or accept that your life will forever be mediocre. -

@egoless By being self-aware. -
Get a blood test to check your thyroid hormone levels. Under-active thyroid is one of the most common causes of chronic fatigue.

That was before I even started Actualized.org Yes, of course there is much struggle behind the scenes which you guys never see in the videos. That's the nature of being on the hero's journey. There will be threshold guardians every so often. Sometimes you shoot the perfect 90 minute video only to realize you forgot to click the record button. -
@beastmode Nonduality negates the very thing the solipsist holds as the most certain thing.

No, I'm not into cold showers. I'm more sensitive to cold than most people. Badminton Welcome All words and concepts are inherently dualistic. Finger pointing to the moon. 1) Maybe. We will talk about relationships and such in the future. But will be very unlike typical pickup material. 2) I dunno. That's why you're alive: to figure it out. 3) I don't see them as being compatible. When it comes down to it, pickup is a big waste of your time. People do it cause they got nothing bigger to do with their lives. Sure, Dzogchen has some very direct methods which I like. Just updated it last week. So long as I'm reading books, there should always be updates. Yes Yes, it's highly beneficial. Net Neutrality is important. The current administration is anti-democractic and corrupt, so it's doing a lot of bad stuff. I don't keep close friends much. Sure, knock yourself out. Suffering is the best teacher. I dunno. Depends on who and what and why. A couple of books lead me into it. In retrospect I was always interested in the ultimate nature of reality. But I never called that spirituality. I called it philosophy, or metaphysics, or epistemology. I didn't realize until much later that they are identical. No idea. Not actively working on it right now. Yeah, something like co-creation is taking place. It's all relative. Relative to Trump, Obama was a saint. No president will be perfect. Obama was actually a pretty remarkable and conscious guy, despite his flaws. You're not likely to get much better in a US President who has to lead a bureaucracy of 330 million people. I don't disclose my filming equipment. Over the years I've probably invested $10,000 in various filming gear. My microphone alone costs $1000. Quality production ain't cheap and I'm always on the lookout for better gear. Is there such a thing as a high consciousness city? Vegas isn't much different than most cities. At least here people are honest about their egoic depravities. 1) Self-defense 2) Self-defense from a legitimate hostile nation on the brink of attack. 3) It's highly subjective. There is no absolute standard of good/bad, right/wrong. The universe itself doesn't know what to do. It's figuring it out through us. I have not eaten them in over a decade. But, of course they taste good. I used to eat them when I was in my teens. The chocolate-covered ones, the sugary-covered ones, and the jelly-filled ones. Taste amazing, but make your body feel so terrible. I don't eat any wheat products any more. Well, all of reality comes into being spontaneously every moment. It's pure magic. It's infinitely intelligent. Good luck deciphering the details. What is my opinion really worth? He's doing his thing, and who am I to say what he should be doing? 1) Well... she hasn't experienced the fully glory of God yet. That's nothing to take lightly. It's one thing to get a glimpse of something, it's another thing to realize the full consequences of what you have seen. I tend to be a guy who easily grasps the heft of a thing. I have had many deep trips without relying on 5-MeO. I never rush my trips. I given myself all the time I need to integrate them. That 5-MeO breakthrough has taken like a year to integrate. 2) I dunno. Worth doing an experiment and finding out. Your question is so broad and ambiguous, I don't know what to say.

Don't confuse solipsism with nonduality. They are subtly different. Nonduality is actually more radical.

@see_on_see Well, of course it's just a wild guess. But humans tend to evolve in unexpected ways. 200 years ago we had slavery and burned witches at the stake. So progress does happen. And don't forget that modern psychedelics are only 70 years old. In 2018 & 2020 both California and Oregon will likely have propositions up for vote to legalize mushrooms. It doesn't take much to create a revolution. Most people don't realize that psychedelics are the next new killer technology, way more powerful than internet or genetics. When it happens, it will happen quickly and culture will forever be changed. If we took the top 100 most wealthy and powerful people in the USA and got them to take 5-MeO, the world would never be the same again. That's possible for 1 person to orchestrate.
