  1. Sounds like it will run up against the same problems as No Man's Sky. But that is what reality is, basically. Just far more infinite.
  2. You'd have to distinguish between "drugs" and psychedelics, and how they are being used, for what purpose, in what setting? Keep in mind that many people who talk negatively about psychedelics don't actually have any serious direct experience with using them for growth. Before you consider an opinion seriously on this issue, ask the person, "How many and what kinds of psychedelics have you tried, and in what settings?" It is possible psychedelics could damage your astral body. The trick would be verifying that for sure and not just speculating about it or holding it as a dogma.
  3. 1) Start meditation, start yoga, start psychedelics, start self-inquiry, start studying nondual theory, follow your heart, become selfless. 2) I made a blog post a while back about things I've said which I changed my mind on. 3) No Basically, to become a saint. I will find many of them in my book list. Yes, of course. You just have endure it and surrender. Take the leap of faith. You need to learn how to study theory without getting to wrapped up in it. If all you do is self-inquiry, you might get some awakenings, but you will still be ignorant about a great many things, and your consciousness will still be low. This path is just too difficult to walk without proper and robust study of theory. He watches some of them. He is still very scientific and stuck in the materialist paradigm. Although he has tripped on psychedelics and is becoming more openminded to spiritual stuff. Wheat is empty calories for EVERYONE. It has zero nutritional value and its bad for your health. INTP 1) I don't know, but I do intent to have a long-term girlfriend at the least. 2) Yes 1) That was a course by Eben Pagan: The Ultimate Map of Success, so some similar title. 2) Not sure, I haven't visited that many countries. Maybe some of the Scandinavian countries, but I can't be sure. 3) I don't know. I skim the headlines on CNN, MSNBC, etc. I watch their videos on Youtube sometimes and I listen to various Youtube channels that talk about the news. The biggest thing I do is I constantly talk with myself in my own head, as though I am talking to a student. I've done this for most of my life. It both helps to clarify my ideas, but also produces a chatty monkey-mind, so it's a double-edged sword. Yes, I have done various types of neurofeedback. I want to do it more consistently but sometimes lack the time. The changes are subtle. It slowly rewires your brain function. Mostly I use it to meditate more effectively. I think it's possible to use the tool to meditate so effectively you become enlightened, but I haven't proven that out. It's also possible to just optimize your brain function. It varies a lot right now. And I've answered this question in the past I think in this thread. I have done quite a lot of bodybuilding in the past. It no longer resonates with me. No video games any more. I watch videos on Youtube. I sometimes watch documentaries. I follow the news. I chat or sext with my girlfriend. I drive around town late at night. I take roadtrips. He's a remarkable guy. But big ego. I watch porn and I don't feel bad about it. I don't view it as an addiction. The body has sexual cravings that need to be satisfied. A live stream of what? 1) I'm not a huge fan of it. I prefer more direct consciousness work. Getting into mythology is a quagmire. It's too vague. 2) My eyes were always green. Color correction of the videos sometimes distorts their true color. And different cameras and different lighting create different effects. 3) There's probably something to it, but not my cup of tea. Again, too vague and indirect. I would just focus on direct consciousness work. To me real work is work in which you are having the most meaningful impact on the world (for you). We'll see how things develop. Too much to say here. It's mostly the same. Becoming a sage, personal dev, consciousness. The common denominator is becoming more conscious in every aspect of your life. All my videos are basically answering the HOW question. Becoming conscious puts you outside your comfort zone by definition because you're surrendering aspects of the ego in the process. Yes, growth requires doing new things and making bold changes, which is scary and uncomfortable. Yes, it is possible and even necessary to understand nonduality theoretically. And then it is necessary to go beyond theory and to actually embody it. Do both. No, I would recommend you stick to the Vipassana practice strictly without deviation. It will be powerful enough on its own.
  4. Study nondual theory. Read the top-rated books on book list in the Consciousness category. And deeply contemplate everything said in those books. That will be the foundation for all your tripping. Studying quality theory is very underappreciated by people here. Yet it is the foundation for walking the path properly. I would be very lost and deluded without this foundation. Some of these authors have spent ungodly hours and effort discovering all the traps and secrets, which would take you many lifetimes of trial and error to discover yourself. Learn how to stand on the shoulders of giants without becoming dogmatic about it.
  5. Or so you assume because it does not fit your paradigm.
  6. @Timothy Sex has nothing to do with club or party culture or pickup. Yes, all of that stuff is corrupt and very low consciousness. But there's nothing wrong with dating people and having sex with people you're into. Don't do it for validation. Do it because you want to find a partner you can be intimate with. Sex is but one aspect of that deeper relationship. Your relationship should be about friendship and mutual growth, not sex. But the sex is a nice bonus.
  7. Enough with this solipsism talk. Nonduality is NOT what people conventionally understand as solipsism. Yes, there is only the Infinite Self, and yes, self and other are identical, but that is not what solipsism means.
  8. The difference is enormous. In one word, the difference is: liberation.
  9. One dose of 5-MeO will not enlighten you. 5-MeO is a catalyst for an already vigorous spiritual practice. People who just do 5-MeO and don't have any kind of spiritual practices in place will not get much out of it. 5-MeO just gives you a longer lever with which to pry yourself loose.
  10. @Shanmugam I have heard you talk about your connection at the ashram. I just find it hard to believe Sadhguru would read Osho. He's way beyond that. Sadhguru claims he hasn't even read the Gita. I don't blindly admire him. I just know a master when I see one.
  11. The paradox is: The Absolute and the relative are IDENTICAL! (But not until you're enlightened.)
  12. Sadhguru reading Osho's books?? Lol. Man, you are hilarious. The Three Blind Men is a classic story from India, thousands of years old. Osho didn't invent it. You got a chip on your shoulder about Sadhguru which is clouding your judgement.
  13. Interesting. I did not know that. Good to know. Will have to try it some day.
  14. I guess, if you're a pussy 1mg will be below a threshold dose. And you couldn't even weigh that out on a milligram scale. Weighing out 10mg isn't so easy because it's such a tiny amount. If you're doing 5-MeO you should already have prior psychedelic experience, so you should be able to handle 10mg. For me, now, after lots of work, 10mg is profound. But for most people starting off, 10mg will not produce any profound state. It's in the 20mg range where things start to get really interesting. And it's around 26mg+ where things get fucking insane.
  15. They did a famous study where they split a group of basketball players into 3 sub-groups: one which was told to practice free-throws normally, one which was told to only visualize shooting free-throws, and one which was told to not play at all and not to visualize. After a few weeks, the most accurate shooters were the visualization group. All the best professional athletes use visualization. But visualization is not so easy to do. When you're doing it precisely, it will be some of the toughest practice you've ever done. The point is not quantity of practice but quality of practice. There is enormous value in clarifying moves in your mind. But you have to do it realistically. Don't confuse this with fantasizing about being a good skateboarder. That is not visualization practice, that is something else: visioning. Instead, you want to be visualizing which muscles you're flexing, your footwork, your mind state, your emotional state, where your eyes are looking, the timing of your jump, how your weight is balanced on the board, how a good jump feels mid-flight, etc. And all of that needs to be as true to real life as possible. You're basically trying to create a realistic skateboarding simulator in your mind within which you can then run drills. Any serious athlete must do this or they won't have a chance at being the best. You must apply consciousness to your skateboarding. Which means discovering what is TRUE about how the domain of skateboarding works. Right now you don't really know what is TRUE about skateboard dynamics. You are just winging it and hoping it works out. Which is why your results aren't so good. Nikola Tesla famously designed the electric motor entirely in his mind using precise visualization. Imagine being able to visualize so well you can engineer a car engine in your mind. That's what you're shooting for, but with skateboarding.
  16. @Hsinav That's really handy. Does the acetone completely evaporate?? I've always been hesitant about methods which might leave traces of acetone on the substance. That can't be healthy. Have you tried plugging N,N-DMT?
  17. @littleBIG Do less actual practice, and more very precisely visualized practice. Practice the moves very methodically in your mind's eye. It will become even more effective than actual practice if done right. Careful with injuring yourself. Remember, no career success is worth ruining your legs for life. The damage you do now could come back to haunt you in your 40s, 50s, and 60s. So be careful.
  18. You just have to understand that categories are not 100%-exception free. Male/female is a very useful and accurate category 98% of the time. Are there exceptions? Of course! How could there not be when we're dealing with 7 billion people? Is male/female your absolute identity? Of course not. From the Absolute perspective you are nothing.
  19. The biggest problem would be getting addicted to it (as many people do) and turning it into a daily habit or a crutch for mood enhancement. I would draw a sharp distinction between taking a substance for mood enhancement vs taking a serious trip. Edibles probably have more spiritual growth potential, although I have not tried weed at all. It never really caught my interest.
  20. @Serotoninluv Thanks for that report. Great stuff. @DrMobius My pleasure to be of service Here is my method for rectal administration of 5-MeO: Make sure you empty your butt first. Make sure you have not eaten anything for at least 3-4 hours. Don't eat any heavy greasy food that day. Make sure your 5-MeO-DMT is HCl form. DO NOT PLUG FREEBASE! That will burn like a bitch. Use 1ml plastic disposable needless oral syringes. You can find them on Amazon Heat up a small cup of pure bottled water in the microwave, so it's warm. Weight out 10mg of 5-MeO very accurately and place into a spoon. Use the syringe to suck up about 0.3ml of the warm water from the cup. Squirt that 0.3 ml of water into the spoon. Stir the 5-MeO so it is fully dissolved. Suck the entire liquid from the spoon into the syringe, including any particles left on the bottom. Put a few drops of lube on the syringe. Relax your butt hole and stick it in there about 1.5 inches. Slowly squeeze the syringe. Remove syringe. Tighten your butt and you should be all set. There should be no leakage. Go lie down on the carpet and enjoy your trip. Trip will come on FAST, within 5 minutes. You will start peaking at around 10 minutes. And it lasts for over an hour. Fear and heart-pounding is very normal for the first 10 minutes. It will pass as you surrender. Just breathe deep and relax and get curious about "What is the true nature of reality?" TOTALLY surrender! Start with 10mg and increase dose from there in 5-10mg increments. This method is more accurate and consistent than snorting. It wastes less substance. It comes on smoother and lasts a bit longer, which is perfect. There is some mild burning sensation in your butt for about 20 minutes, but it seems harmless and it's less unpleasant than snorting. N,N-DMT can also be administered rectally as above. BUT, most N,N-DMT is freebase! You must use a salt form of N,N-DMT, which is usually harder to find. But you can find it. N,N-DMT Fumarate is a good salt version. Because the doses with N,N-DMT are larger, you will need to use more than 0.3ml of water. Possibly needing a 2ml syringe. With this method, your N,N-DMT trip will be much smoother, more gentle, and last much longer than smoking it.
  21. @Timothy That's an outstanding question. Thanks for expressing it. Sexuality can be surface level (as it is for most people) or it can be really profound and spiritual. Is sexuality just a craving? Well, yes. But you're sort of stuck with it. So the question is how to best channel it. Abstaining from sex entirely is an option, but only if it comes organically as the result of your growth in consciousness. Just telling yourself NO! is not gonna cut it. The drive is too strong and it will then become dysfunctional as you grow resentful and frustrated in not getting your needs met. I would say the more practical solution is to find a high quality girlfriend and develop a really deep relationship with her and turn sex into an artform. To me, this is much healthier than sleeping around with random girls or abstaining from sex when in fact you still deeply want it. I think if you want abstinence then you should first do some massive spiritual work so that it becomes organic. And until then, do the girlfriend thing. I am not one to hold biological urges as evil or wrong or bad. I prefer to meet my needs so fully that I transcend the need. Sex is an awesome thing when done right. This should be a practical solution for 95%+ of people. If your mission in life is to become an advanced master yogi, then by all means give up sex altogether and go meditate your ass off full-time and achieve super-deep states of consciousness which will purify you of all physical cravings. This will be very challenging path, suitable perhaps to 5% or less of people, but it will be awesome in the end. The only question is, can you really pull it off? Most people cannot. Sex doesn't have to mean sacrificing beauty. It is a part of the beauty when you approach it right. Can sex and relationships be a HUGE distraction from the spiritual path? Absolutely! But not necessarily. It depends on how you go about it. I don't see a serious conflict between having a girlfriend and pursing spirituality. In fact, relationships can make you grow a lot when done properly. It is not easy to sustain a conscious relationship.
  22. @hundreth You are welcome to change whatever you can. The real problem will arise when life hands you a situation you cannot change. For example, if your daughter was gunned down in a school, will you be able to accept that? That's a really tough one. Will you be able look at the gunman in that case as yourself? Or will you separate yourself from him? The best way to change a thing is to first fully accept it. Self-agenda is not bad. Nothing is bad. But self-agenda can be an obstacle to seeing the truth clearly. Of course you will exercise your self-agenda. But the deeper question is, how conscious is your self-agenda? Most people are stuck acting out of self-defense without realizing they are acting out patterns from their childhood. So they are sort of like robots stuck in a loop. And that tends to make the situation worse.
  23. @egoless The Tibetan Book Of The Dead comes to mind. It talks about various bardo realms. The Buddhist scriptures are MASSIVE. They are like 10 times longer than the Bible. It's a very technical topic which I'm no expert in. I'm not a big reader of scriptures.
  24. Sure, that's possible. I just don't know. It seems consistent with many of the deepest yogic and buddhist scriptures, which I must assume came from certain direct experiences. I doubt people just made that shit up. These scriptures were written by very advanced enlightened masters, whose level I may never reach in my life time. There is still much about spirituality which I do not understand. Because this field is extremely deep and wide and nuanced, and it can only really be understood only through direct experience. At the deepest levels, it's very hard to accurately interpret and cross-reference textual sources without massive direct experience of all the various facets of nonduality and the paranormal. I would suggest you guys just keep your minds open, shoot for No-self and Infinity, and stay humble with your awakenings because there's almost always more to become conscious of.
  25. Yes, that's seems likely. Sure, that's also possible. I don't really know what happens after the body dies. I just know that I am Infinity. So if there's a hell or heaven, I am both of those things, and more. Infinity will go through an infinite number of "experiences": hell, heaven, monkeys, ants, aliens, cyborgs, whatever.
