  1. @Lynnel Okay. Hurry up. I've reactivated the old bookmarks and deactivated the new ones for now.
  2. @MM1988 Learn to deal with confusion, not-knowing, and paradox. That's part of doing research. By your logic, no one would ever be able to do any research into anything. The things you don't understand are precisely the things which need the most research. Life is a learner's game. So learn how to learn.
  3. Plenty of unconsciousness and ego in women too. It just plays out differently. The human species just seems to be male-dominant, like chimps or gorillas. The biggest ape rules.
  4. @Brivido Have you contemplated, "What is the definition of truth?" Start there. Getting answers from others on such a critical question tends to be counter-productive. Anything they tell you will just be another idea subject to doubt. Maybe there is something beyond ideas? Or maybe there is nothing?
  5. @Dj1 I've only done synthetic. The natural form (toad venom) can only be smoked. So it's gonna hit harder than snorting synthetic. But synthetic is purer. Toad venom isn't pure 5-MeO, it contains n-n-DMT and Bufotenine too which have more visual properties. So you're getting more of a cocktail of stuff. I hear it's possible to learn to vaporize synthetic well. That will require experimentation and wasting some doses tho. Maybe practice on n-n-DMT first.
  6. @Principium Nexus Get out of here and trip properly. You should have figured that out before you started. Now deal with the consequences.
  7. @Principium Nexus Don't post here drunk. Finish your trip, then post. You should not be online while tripping.
  8. That's why it's a journey. You don't know where each step will take you. You are taking this process for granted. The whole point of doing research is that you do not know what you'll find unless you do it. Read 200 books over the next 5 years, and your life will never be the same again. Apply what you can. You certainly won't master all those books, but you will have a big picture map of the field, which is the key. If you cannot read 20 books about enlightenment, you have no business pursuing enlightenment. It is too tricky, and you will fail.
  9. The Alternative Healing sub-forum and the Philosophy sub-forum are being discontinued. They will be merging with the Consciousness sub-forum and the Self-Actualization sub-forum respectively. This is being done to make discussions more lively and concentrated. Those two sub-forums have been rather weak and ghost-towny. No data will be lost. The old posts will simply be re-categorized.
  10. What??? That is fucked up. Like straight out of a comedy.
  11. @Hardkill It helps to broaden your perspective of the situation. Men and women are asymmetrical. There are pros and cons to each. On the whole, men have it way easier when you take into account all the factors which you are conveniently ignoring, like: Women get abused by men A LOT Women get raped and molested Women get drugged and liquored up by guys Women get manipulated more Women get pumped and dumped Women have to deal with risks of pregnancy and abortion Women get slut-shamed Women's value in the dating game is heavy affected by appearance and youth Women have a short shelf-life Women need to have kids by age 40 if they want them Women get cheated on more Women get dumped for younger women By not approaching, women have less control and fewer options Women get discriminated against Women have to deal with crazy emotional fluctuations Women get paid less Women get judged much more negatively for being assertive or selfish Women have do deal with PMS, periods, birth control pills, yeast infections, etc. Women have to dress up and spend 10% of their life putting on makeup Women are expected to wear high heals Women have to sacrifice their health, appearance, and time to give birth Women have to sacrifice their careers more to raise kids Women have a harder time orgasming and being satisfied in bed Etc, etc. So complaining about having to approach as a guy is really lame.
  12. @Buba That's selfishness 101. The self's job is to be self-biased. Start observe your self-biases. Start noticing how much you overlook your own evils. When you understand your own evils, you will also understand the evils of others. Everyone is just acting selfish without realizing it.
  13. @Russell You make some fair criticisms. My knowledge of AA isn't first-hand. I could have spoken about it more accurately. But the larger issue still stands: AA is dogmatic. It will not take you where you ultimately want to go. There is a big difference between TALKING and BELIEVING about a higher power, and ACTUALLY becoming directly conscious of it, and directly conscious of how your mind works. In reality, how AA works is they brainwash you into believing a bunch of stuff and then you go around believing it, fighting with yourself for the rest of your life. Which is not to say it's unhelpful, but it's not anywhere near your peak potential. And the people in AA overall are a bad influence, because they are so neurotic, you start to believe that's all you can ever be. You build an identity around being an addict. And the 12 steps do include various techniques. Taking a self-inventory is a technique. As is making amends. As is having group meetings and discussions, etc. Compare AA to something like a yogic ashram and you will see the difference I'm pointing to. The problem is that AA doesn't give you the tools to access the higher power. The LSD they once used to rely on is now long gone from the program. The most important part of the program was the LSD! What remains is the support group. That's fine. But just take a look at how many people relapse and stay stuck in AA for 20+ years. In 20 years you could be an enlightened master, rather than attending AA meetings listening to people act out their neuroses. Just ask yourself, how many enlightened people walk out of AA? The answer is, 90%+ of the members don't even know what enlightenment is. So what higher power are you talking about? A false idol. All that said, I'm sure it helps many otherwise desperate people. So if it helps you, good. Different paths for different folks.
  14. @1 9 8 4 Stop eating wheat. And the best way to rest is a nap.
  15. @ppfeiff I've done all-raw vegan diet. I got nothing against it. It feels great. The trick is sustaining it in this crazy society we live in. It takes eating huge quantities of food in order not to starve. I found myself having to eat all day long, every few hours, and still being hungry and losing weight (and I'm already lean). And the lack of variety to it gets really old really fast since all you're basically allowed to eat is salads and fruits. And sustaining that while traveling, or doing a meditation retreat, is a real pain in the ass. Good luck finding places that will feed you enough fruits and vegetables not to starve to death. They don't do it because it's costly. Diet isn't only about health, it's also about practicality.
  16. @doronshadmi You misunderstand how this tool is used. So, yes, in your case, don't use the tool. A tool is only useful when used the right way. If an adult stuck a screwdriver in your nose as a kid, yes, I could understand how you'd dislike screwdrivers and try to warn others about them.
  17. @Rachityczny What is it that you're passionate about creating??? Nothing can happen without connecting to your passion.
  18. @wavydude Just because a guy is selling something, or is successful, doesn't mean he's connected with his LP.
  19. Start by thinking outside the box. It's not hard to be original. Just throw out the first 10 ideas you get. Those first 10 ideas, every lazy fool gets, and fails at.
  20. @Revolutionary Think It's not a lottery at all. If you have the skills, the portfolio, and know how to market yourself, you will get a bunch of job offers. You have to bring something enticing to the table. Just expecting people to do favors for you by hiring you is not the proper way to get a job. The more value you offer, the more the world opens up to you. The big problem here is that you're just applying to random jobs. Which shows you don't care what job you get, and you have no specific idea of what job you want. It's hard to get something when you don't know what you want because you cannot prepare yourself for it. I assume you're 20+ years old. What career have you spent the last 10 years of your life preparing for?
  21. @DnoReally This idea that you will get enlightened in one shot, isn't realistic. Realistically, whether you use psychedelics or not, your waking up process will take years, and involve a lot of mini-breakthroughs, followed by ego backlashes, etc. The solution is to stop looking at this as a magic pill, and see it as a life's work of growing up. And then enjoy as much of it as you can. Don't treat it as something to be over and done with. The whole point of this path is curiosity, awe, love, magic, beauty. Try not to turn it into a grind. With this kind of attitude you should be able to weather any negative phases that you encounter.
  22. @Max_V Ain't nothing enjoyable or peaceful about a retreat. It's the most disturbed you will be all year. That pain is how you know spiritual purification is happening. That's the devil leaving your body If you want enjoyable and peaceful, go to a movie.
  23. Those don't work. Minimum cost for doing effective neurofeedback is about $2500 in total. If you can't accept that, don't bother with neurofeedback.
  24. @TeamBills A good way to think about this issue is: everything you've ever done, was done without free will. In the same way that every time you got Xmas gifts, it wasn't caused by Santa. So it's really not a problem that Santa doesn't exist. Xmas gifts still happen. You can climb mount Everest with no free will. Your body and mind will do whatever they are capable of doing, no more, no less. How do you know what they're capable of doing? You don't! That's why you gotta try. Sometimes you will succeed, sometimes you will fail. But if you never try, you'll never know what you could have accomplished.
  25. @doronshadmi Have you actually tried the thing you're criticizing? How many times?
