Get a blood test to check your thyroid hormone levels. Under-active thyroid is one of the most common causes of chronic fatigue.

That was before I even started Actualized.org Yes, of course there is much struggle behind the scenes which you guys never see in the videos. That's the nature of being on the hero's journey. There will be threshold guardians every so often. Sometimes you shoot the perfect 90 minute video only to realize you forgot to click the record button. -
@beastmode Nonduality negates the very thing the solipsist holds as the most certain thing.

No, I'm not into cold showers. I'm more sensitive to cold than most people. Badminton Welcome All words and concepts are inherently dualistic. Finger pointing to the moon. 1) Maybe. We will talk about relationships and such in the future. But will be very unlike typical pickup material. 2) I dunno. That's why you're alive: to figure it out. 3) I don't see them as being compatible. When it comes down to it, pickup is a big waste of your time. People do it cause they got nothing bigger to do with their lives. Sure, Dzogchen has some very direct methods which I like. Just updated it last week. So long as I'm reading books, there should always be updates. Yes Yes, it's highly beneficial. Net Neutrality is important. The current administration is anti-democractic and corrupt, so it's doing a lot of bad stuff. I don't keep close friends much. Sure, knock yourself out. Suffering is the best teacher. I dunno. Depends on who and what and why. A couple of books lead me into it. In retrospect I was always interested in the ultimate nature of reality. But I never called that spirituality. I called it philosophy, or metaphysics, or epistemology. I didn't realize until much later that they are identical. No idea. Not actively working on it right now. Yeah, something like co-creation is taking place. It's all relative. Relative to Trump, Obama was a saint. No president will be perfect. Obama was actually a pretty remarkable and conscious guy, despite his flaws. You're not likely to get much better in a US President who has to lead a bureaucracy of 330 million people. I don't disclose my filming equipment. Over the years I've probably invested $10,000 in various filming gear. My microphone alone costs $1000. Quality production ain't cheap and I'm always on the lookout for better gear. Is there such a thing as a high consciousness city? Vegas isn't much different than most cities. At least here people are honest about their egoic depravities. 1) Self-defense 2) Self-defense from a legitimate hostile nation on the brink of attack. 3) It's highly subjective. There is no absolute standard of good/bad, right/wrong. The universe itself doesn't know what to do. It's figuring it out through us. I have not eaten them in over a decade. But, of course they taste good. I used to eat them when I was in my teens. The chocolate-covered ones, the sugary-covered ones, and the jelly-filled ones. Taste amazing, but make your body feel so terrible. I don't eat any wheat products any more. Well, all of reality comes into being spontaneously every moment. It's pure magic. It's infinitely intelligent. Good luck deciphering the details. What is my opinion really worth? He's doing his thing, and who am I to say what he should be doing? 1) Well... she hasn't experienced the fully glory of God yet. That's nothing to take lightly. It's one thing to get a glimpse of something, it's another thing to realize the full consequences of what you have seen. I tend to be a guy who easily grasps the heft of a thing. I have had many deep trips without relying on 5-MeO. I never rush my trips. I given myself all the time I need to integrate them. That 5-MeO breakthrough has taken like a year to integrate. 2) I dunno. Worth doing an experiment and finding out. Your question is so broad and ambiguous, I don't know what to say.

Don't confuse solipsism with nonduality. They are subtly different. Nonduality is actually more radical.

@see_on_see Well, of course it's just a wild guess. But humans tend to evolve in unexpected ways. 200 years ago we had slavery and burned witches at the stake. So progress does happen. And don't forget that modern psychedelics are only 70 years old. In 2018 & 2020 both California and Oregon will likely have propositions up for vote to legalize mushrooms. It doesn't take much to create a revolution. Most people don't realize that psychedelics are the next new killer technology, way more powerful than internet or genetics. When it happens, it will happen quickly and culture will forever be changed. If we took the top 100 most wealthy and powerful people in the USA and got them to take 5-MeO, the world would never be the same again. That's possible for 1 person to orchestrate.

I don't think of it like that. This isn't a dick measuring contest. His level of mastery is inhuman. I don't compare myself to him. I have a different path. Nevertheless, just because someone has inhuman levels of consciousness, doesn't mean they are right about everything. Epistemic errors can still lurk within. Something like 5-MeO is all too easy to dismiss. Because it seems impossible. But then again, everything is impossible. Yet here it is.
-
Obviously he didn't NEED to take it. The question isn't whether one NEEDS 5-MeO. The question is: Is it an effective tool for waking people up? And the answer is most definitely YES! As you can easily prove to yourself within 15 minutes of trying it. Ralston doesn't need to attend a workshop either, yet he conducts them. The really interesting question is: What's more effective, a week long workshop, or a week long retreat, or 15 minutes of 5-MeO-DMT? Thanks to 5-MeO and other psychedelics, I have become conscious of things which people who attend his workshops for years never grasp. I have become conscious of things which people who meditate for 10-20 years have never become conscious of. I have become conscious of things his enlightened assistant hasn't become conscious of in 10 years of working with Ralston full-time. Not bragging. That's such the case. We really are talking about inhuman levels of consciousness here. There's a very good reason such levels of consciousness are extremely rare across the world. It's not just a matter of willpower. Enlightened masters have totally different brain chemistry from your average human being. People overlook this point. Don't assume all brains are alike. They are not. The amount of DMT naturally present in an advanced yogi's brain might be more than you will get by snorting a small pile of it.

Of course. All understanding is fallible. That cannot be escaped. The only question is, how good are you at spotting your own epistemic errors.

Leo Gura replied to Samurai Y's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Samurai Y It's a nice-sounding theory, until you realize how many unconscious and horrible mothers there are. In a sense, loving your own child is the easiest thing in the world. It's directly part of your self-agenda. Try loving something which is against your self-agenda. That's the real test of your love. But of course, millions of parents grow from the process of having kids. It's a good step in the right direction, but usually not enough. Notice that many animal mothers will fight to the death to defend their babies. That isn't the same as high consciousness. -
All I can say is, find out for yourselves. You don't know what I do or do not know. For all you know, everything I say is a lie. That's for me to know and for you to find out.

@egoless I have no qualms cracking down on threads which are just mental-masturbation. This is a place for people to accomplish useful work. Not monkey around. You can monkey around elsewhere. -
Peter Ralston is closeminded I suggested he take a snort. He declined. Careful judging things you've never tried.

I'm pretty sure in the next 100-200 years 5-MeO-DMT will be force-fed to all human beings like vaccine shots are today. That will shift things dramatically. If mankind survives long enough, one day, 99% of people will be enlightened.

When you realize there is only one being -- nothingness -- you'll realize that it infinitely reincarnates as everything. There's really no difference between you and your Mom and a random mom 5000 years from now and chimp mom from 1 million years ago. It's all exactly the same consciousness. The Buddha is now looking through your eyes, looking through your Mom's eyes, looking through your dog's eyes. You are the Buddha. You just don't realize it yet.

An exquisite example of paradigm blindness. Almost seems like it should work. Almost, but not really. Keep learning young Padawan

I did not delete that thread. I'm not sure how it ended up in the Trash Bin. I'm guessing probably because some user(s) disagreed and used the "report" function to flag it as spam. That thread has been re-instated. Don't get you panties in a twist There is no conspiracy to censor dissenting opinions here. Very few threads are ever deleted, only if they devolve into complete stupidity or break obvious Forum Guidelines, like asking how to source drugs. -
It is impossible to change someone who doesn't want to change. Consciousness cannot be forced upon people, they must desire it themselves. Some people are too far gone into unconsciousness 99.99% of people will never wake up. They will get another chance in the next incarnation. But if you really wanted to wake someone up, a gradual ramp up of psychedelics would be the best tool for the job.

@martin_malin Freedom tends to ultimately be a spiritual value. But it can be corrupted. What's the positive side of why you like freedom? What are you desiring it for?

THIS! That, in one sentence, is the entire predicament of mankind. ------- Sounds like the perfect trip there. P.S. Next time, don't put mushrooms into a sandwich. Eat on an empty stomach with orange juice. The trip will go better without putting that sandwich poison into your body. If you are hungry, you can eat half a banana 60 minutes prior to trip. If you eat junk food on psychedelics, like a bread sandwich, don't be surprised to get punished for it. Eat clean foods like fruits or some smoked salmon a few hours into the trip. -

When you understand why you don't want your avatar in your favorite video game to get shot, you will understand why an enlightened person doesn't want to get shot. The desire to get shot is an egotistical fantasy that you have concocted because you cannot see the beauty of the Grand Illusion in which you presently find yourself. If you were conscious, you would be spending your time thinking of how to participate in infinite creation and advancing the consciousness of mankind, not posing stupid questions about shooting people. As you are a materialist, I could pose you a similarly stupid question: Why not stab yourself in the arm? After all, science tells you it's just inanimate matter. Quarks and stuff. Mostly empty space. And objectively speaking, pain is just some impulses in some neurons in a brain. So who cares? Scientifically-speaking, there should be no problem for you to stab yourself in the arm with a fork. Scientifically-speaking, there is no reason for you to be alive, since, after all, the entire universe will eventually undergo heat-death anyway. So all your science and scientific progress and technology and society is totally pointless. You might as well kill yourself now and save the hassle. Scientifically-speaking, there is no reason why your suffering matters any more than a goat's suffering in Africa. So by this logic, there is no reason why we cannot slaughter human beings like goats. That's science right there. You can't argue with science. -
@Slade There is a snowball effect that will happen. You start with a little nugget of LP, like telling jokes, and as you work on it over the years, it will deepen, and as you contemplate the essence of what impact you're trying to make, and who you authentically are, everything will deepen in an amazing way. Don't expect super depth from the get-go. It's like you found a diamond in the rough. Now you gotta polish it to see its full glory, which will take some years to see. Be okay with that.

You have been told a million times to begin self-inquiry. Yet you ignore the work and keep asking, "But how?!" Well, good luck with that.
