Precisely! Which is why 99.999% ain't enlightened and won't be for a long time to come. The trick to understanding reality is that whatever happens is precisely what was supposed to happen. If you work your ass off and get enlightened, that was supposed to happen If you work your ass off and don't get enlightened, that was supposed to happen If you sit on the couch your whole life eating Cheetos, that was supposed to happen If you read this and decide that all is hopeless and you are victim, that was supposed to happen If you read this and decide that you will double your efforts and that leads your enlightenment, that was supposed to happen How do we know it was supposed to happen? Because it happened!

@cle103 You should be grateful you've had enough wisdom and motivation to get this far. If you made it this far, you can make it to the end of the rabbit hole. No one said this would be easy. We are talking about suicide here, after all. The ego will not give up without a fight. -

@Source_Mystic Yes, of course, as it must be. When you truly grasp it, there is nothing to say. And nothing said can make you truly grasp it. That is the game we are playing. Fish huddle together only in the darkness, because they are too scared to step into the light. -
@Serotoninluv If it was pleasant, you wouldn't need me telling you about it, it would be advertized on TV

Ahahahaha...... I have created a monster.

By doing self-inquiry, contemplation, studying nonduality, and tripping consistently. Yes, I also meant normal human state. Infinity is independent of state and independent of being human. Self-inquiry is the key. Ya'll keep avoiding it. That's the whole problem here. If you actually did it, you wouldn't need me or this forum or anyone else. But you hate doing self-inquiry, so here we are. Actualized.org is just babysitting for kids who refuse to do self-inquiry -

@AleksM Yes, that's no-mind. That's good. But most people are not there yet, and will never get there unless they are led out of the mind using the mind. That's the point of spiritual teachings. And even then, the fact is you still use stories -- or differentiation of truth from falsehood -- to navigate everyday life. For example, if I told you that nukes are flying here from North Korea, that's not a story you can ignore, if true. Which brings us back to the original problem. It's not a problem that ever goes away. -

Human experience IS the infinite. They are not different one bit. Reality is amechanical. What you see, IS the mechanism! You ARE the mechanism. Every object you see is the mechanism happening DIRECTLY! BEING is the mechanism. The problem is, you're not conscious of this yet. Be careful about looking for infinity somewhere else. Everything you see is it. -

@cetus56 Differentiating truth from falsehood is a deeply nontrivial problem. I've spent the last 15 years of my life studying it. That's what epistemology is about. And I have not read a single book which accurately and comprehensively addresses this issue. Which is why I am writing one. It is the deepest problem that exists, IMO. And 99% of people don't even know its a thing. And even when they are told, they still don't know the depth of the problem. Even many enlightened people do not appreciate the depth of the problem. -

@air9 Think: "Let me really enjoy this." -
@egoless Take your end goal, and make it your life purpose starting tomorrow. You can farm mushrooms in the afterlife.

@CruellerSloth What impact do you want to have on people? What value do you want to give them?
-
@egoless Careful not to get distracted here. What is the impact you want to have on humanity/world? Will farming serve this impact? If not, it's not part of your LP.

@Revolutionary Think Yes! Reality is a spontaneous happening. It's doing you, you're not doing it. But you shouldn't take this on as a belief. Rather, you should become conscious of it happening RIGHT NOW in your very experience.

Lol, such a typical PUA move. "Come on Bro! Stop being a faggot! Get in there!" Yes, it can work. But it belies a fundamental rift in oneself.

You don't know that at all. You're just pretending you do. -
It is, just watch your cornhole

Lol That's a bit like saying, "I love sex, which is why I prefer to have sex with vacuum cleaners rather than the real thing. And that's fine with me." Suit yourself, but maybe there's a better way? -

Healthy fat is good. The trick is getting it from healthy sources, like wild Alaskan salmon or grass-fed organic animals. I have no problem with eating fats. I don't shy away from consuming organic olive oil, etc. I avoid butter though, because it's dairy. You can take an iron supplement. Just don't take too much. My iron levels are good. My B12 is good. My thyroid gland is dysfunctional though. Seems like perhaps a genetic thing, because my Mom's is too and I've tried dozens of cures which never worked out. I never have more than 2 meals a day. But I do snack on stuff like fruits, raw honey, etc. -

@MiracleMan It's not ideal because it's fed corn and antibiotics and artificial colors. But it's still probably better than conventional meat and corn-raised chicken or cow. It's hard to find wild Alaskan salmon all year round. -

It's pretty damn important. Most people eat so badly they cannot even get enough energy to do simple self-help, let alone serious meditation or yoga. Almost all forms of yoga and serious meditation come with strict diet requirements. Because it matters. You should really only meditate and do yoga no sooner than 4 hours since your last meal, on an empty stomach. Try it and notice the difference in mental clarity. Which is why I release those videos about healthy recipes. -
Leo Gura replied to egoless's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
They aren't that bad, but they increase sleep quota. I still eat them in moderation. But yogi's don't recommend it. -
Sounds like putting lipstick on a pig. Better to invest your time in consciousness work. It's not a quick fix, but it will pay off huge in the long run. If you have low esteem, do Nathaniel Brandon's self-esteem exercises found in his books.

@BjarkeT Consciousness and wisdom. Contemplation. Visioning. Psychedelics. And there's always: Just do it.
