Leo Gura replied to TJ Reeves's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@TJ Reeves If you're writing a serious book, it's probably best not to publish chunks of it on a public forum. You'll want to maintain copyrights and all that. Just an FYI. -
I chose life purpose over girls. But that's just me.

You haven't experienced extreme skepticism until you've doubted whether existence even exists, never mind your "brain". When your skepticism causes the floor under your feet to disappear and you tumble into the gap, that's when you know you're on the right track -
Leo Gura replied to Alex K's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Alex K It's hard to help a person who lacks desire. I bet you're just disconnected from yourself and have been brainwashed by culture to such an extent that it's hard to start doing anything but watch TV and the like. If that's the case, you're gonna have to spend some years cleaning yourself up. Like a junkie. If you start visualizing what you want every day, you'll start to build desire towards it. Getting started is often the hardest part. It can take a few years to build momentum with personal development. Start with just reading books and journaling about where you want you life to go. -

Some people fall out of a plane. Some people get run over by a train. Some people burn in a car. Some people get shot from afar. Some people choke on a cherry. Some people eat a poison berry. Some people drown in a tub. Some people die from a club. -

Tell that to a lobster People have died, for example, from improperly run sweat-lodge ceremonies. -
@Moreira You're still thinking selfishly. You're thinking about how to get what you want, rather than how to give value to the world. And so ironically, you will end up unable to get what you want. Having what you want is not nearly as fulfilling as giving what you have. You've taken the best part of life purpose and flipped it upside down to serve your personal desires.

37.5ug is a pretty high dose (for microdosing). The biggest concern is that you might become immune to it (and most other psychedelics) after a while. The brain does tend to build up tolerance. And that would be a shame. People who overdo psychedelics report that they lose the magic they once had. -

Politics not so much. History, absolutely! All you need to study to understand politics is Spiral Dynamics. It's the most accurate political model I've ever seen. And the other key to understanding politics is: corruption, corruption, corruption. It's all corrupt to hell. The corruption is so bad it's become legalized.

There is no one answer for how to structure your day. It all depends on your personality type and what you're trying to accomplish. Some people's personality type loves rigid rules and order. Some people's personality type loves freedom and spontaneity. You're gonna have to experiment with various structures to find your sweet spot. And even then, depending on what stage of the journey you're on, you will need different structures. Personally, I'm at my best when I'm very spontaneous and totally free. But it's not easy to strike the right balance because business requires some rigid rules.

@-Rowan By using your discernment. You should be reading dozens of high quality books. That is critical for calibrating your discernment. Yeah, if all you do is sit on this forum trying to make sense of all the posts, you'll be very lost. Read books first and foremost. Then you'll easily see through the bullshit posts. In a public forum, most posts will be bullshit. That is the nature of the beast. On a typical forum, maybe 5% of the posts are worth reading. But that 5% can be life-changing. Don't aim for 100% perfection or accuracy. You just need a gold nugget here and there. Then you seize it like a python, and take action on it. That's how winnin' is done!

@Edvard "Just No-Self"? Hehe... you're thinking of it that way because you're thinking about it, not actually being it. The only thing there is, is ONE thing. Everything boils down to getting truer and truer about what this ONE thing (reality/The Self) really is. There are many layers and facets to this ONE thing, but ultimately, it's all ONE thing. You're peeling back an onion one layer at a time. To experience No-Self is good and important. But it's not the ultimate level. Absolute Infinity (which is not separate from No-Self) takes the cake. When you answer the question: What am I?, that will be the No-Self facet. When you answer the question: What is reality?, that will be the Absolute Infinity facet. Both are the same object. Just different facets and depths. The insight of No-Self reveals that you, the ego, is an illusion. This insight can feel a bit dry or empty. Perhaps a bit nihilistic. The insight of Absolute Infinity reveals God in all its glory. This insight is so enormously rich, it will make you weep like a baby.

@emind IQ is irrelevant and a stupid metric. Just forget it exists. Watch out for your stubbornness and your logic. That's a recipe for a miserable life.

@Moreira That's not a life purpose at all. That's a materialistic personal goal. Nothing wrong with having a personal goal. But you're missing something BIG here. Once you're living in your dream house, you'll be as depressed as ever. It won't solve anything of significance for you.

Notice that becoming too mechanical with your habits actually promotes unconsciousness. Scheduling every part of your day with productivity tasks and self-help techniques is not necessarily the way to go. For one thing, it's gonna be very hard to sustain.
