You can investigate whatever you want. The point is that from the convention realist paradigm, reality is assumed to just exist as though reality was some kind of "thing". People fail to realize that reality and self are fundamentally interconnected. "Reality" is what a self does to exist. In order for survival to be possible at all, a self and a reality must first be imagined.

I looked at the x100 extract and said, "Hell nah, man... That's nuts!" Went with x50 -

This is a common trap that people fall into of: natural vs artificial. This is an illusory duality. Just because something is "natural" doesn't mean a damn thing. There are many natural mushroom species which will kill you. If you've wanna go "natural", you better start by getting rid of your house, your car, your smart phone, your cloths, your computer, your toilet paper, your toothpaste, your aspirin, your soda, your band-aids, your surgeries, your music, your A/C, etc. The science and clinical evidence is clearly showing that "synthetic" psychedelics are just as good, if not better than "natural" ones. There is nothing as magical in nature as 99.8% pure synthetic 5-MeO-DMT. Nature equipped humans with a brain so we could use it to invent better solutions than can be found in the forest. Many "natural" psychedelics actually contain unneeded toxins. Which is why people vomit on them. Vomiting is your body's natural reaction to toxic substances. I have yet to vomit on any substance I've taken, because I go out of my way to make sure they are pure. -

@Heart of Space They sell Savlia x100 extract in Vegas smoke shops right by the front counter. It's only illegal in a few states. -

Shermer runs Skeptic Magazine. They push a pro-science agenda. That kind of skepticism was what I called "False Skepticism" in the True vs False Skepticism episode. An unfortunate trap that many modern skeptics fall into. They are skeptical about everything but their own skepticism. It fails to acknowledge the twisted complexities of science and gathering true knowledge. Graham's theories may turn out to be wrong in the end, but Shermer's skepticism is still misguided in principle. That kind of epistemic attitude just doesn't cut it for serious truth-seeking. It's too self-biased and lacking in self-reflection. But it is worthwhile to listen to folks like Shermer just to learn how tricky the mind is. In fact, I ended up ordering a few copies of Skeptic Magazine, just to research how they think. To outwit the Devil, you must study the Devil's work -

@Space Graham was also taking anti-migraine injections for months on end, which apparently caused the stroke. Ironic how many problems we have with prescription meds. -
@MM1988 Alcohol is an unhealthy, consciousness-lowering substance and doesn't have any personal development value. Psychedelics are the opposite. Reason they're illegal is because people are ignorant about what psychedelics are and what benefits they can provide. And because they lead to questioning of epistemic foundations, upon which all of society is predicated. The fundamental problem is that no one who was responsible for outlawing psychedelics has ever personally experienced them, or done objective research into the scientific and clinical evidence.

Stay tuned for Part 2 where you will get direct evidence of the conspiracy. It's well documented. Mushrooms are easy to grow too and lots of people grow them. There is a larger point here about religious freedom, and freedom to control one's own consciousness. It's really a human rights issue. Why is it that certain churches have the right to drink DMT or eat peyote, but the rest of the population doesn't? Imagine if alcohol was legal, but only for Catholics.
-
I generally wouldn't make such an announcement, but unfortunately precisely that consistency has set people's expectations, and they start to concoct all sorts of conspiracy theories as soon as something's a bit off schedule.

Good share. This quote in particular is a doozy: What Gefter doesn't realize is that the organism IS the false reality! Hehe... The naive realism paradigm runs extremely deep. It distorts the most fundamental questions people ask about reality.

Leo Gura replied to Hsinav's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Hsinav I never said they need to sit still and watch you meditate for 10 minutes. It will be enough if they run into the room screaming while you sit there calmly and open your eyes to address them. But you do this for 20 years straight. Eventually they will catch on that something bigger is going on in that room. Eventually they will wonder, "What the hell is he doing sitting there like that?" -
Leo Gura replied to Girzo's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Girzo This is silly. Stop fixing something that ain't broke. You don't read on psychedelics. You take the psychedelic and just sit and relax. The more stupid shit you do, the less you will get out of psychedelics. After the psychedelic is over, you can go burn all your books. That's how much they will mean to you. -
@Marinus I've only ever tripped alone. And I've never even come close to any kind of danger or physical harm. You need to do research and follow proper protocol for taking these substances. But if you do, you'll be 99.9% fine. If you do something stupid like eat a thumbprint of LSD blotters, then you'll be in hell. But that's only because you were arrogant and didn't follow protocol.

Don't start with 5-MeO. Start with something easier like LSD or mushrooms. Your chronic fatigue isn't an issue. Her heart condition is an issue for 5-MeO. But it should be okay with LSD and mushrooms because they don't raise heart rate in my experience. Of course, take fully responsibility for your health and your choices. This is not medical advice. -
@Marinus That's gonna be tough to unwire without some psychedelics. They are the perfect tool for the job. I'd go to a music festival and let loose with some LSD if I were you.

Leo Gura replied to Joseph Maynor's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Joseph Maynor For you, yes Don't worry, they will come back. Life goes on, even after enlightenment. Lots of enlightened folks are also deeply intellectual. You just gotta divide and conquer this thing first. Of course a lot of mental masturbation will fall away. But that should actually trim the fat off your intellectual pursuits and make it very potent. Why waste time studying bullshit? These days, a lot of books or papers I can't even be bothered to read, or some people I can't bother to listen to, because it's just such bullshit after you experience nonduality. -
@herghly I like the idea of plugging N,N-DMT the most. It should be the best ROA from what I've researched. But I have yet to verify that myself. Plugging requires salt form. Don't be plugging freebase. I don't like idea of smoking DMT because the vaporization method is inconsistent and tricky. Although I'm sure once you master the method, will be fine. But then you've still got weird nasty smoke smells and I don't know how healthy it is for your lungs. I try to stick to the cleanest, simplest, healthiest, most accurate, and most painless ROAs. Why make something harder than it can be? Just because other people are doing it?

@SuperLuigi No mastery process is linear. Just the opposite. See my video called Mastery. Read the book Mastery by George Leonard.

Yes, you still have lots of control. But your desires, fears, concerns, and inhibitions will change. For example, you might decide to walk out the front door with your dick hanging out. Because you won't care, or think it's funny. Under mushrooms, you will no longer be yourself. You will be much more authentic, childlike, and animal-like. You will start to move like a monkey. You will feel a pleasant but somewhat odd intoxication. It's a remarkable experience. At higher doses, you will get so totally mindfucked you will forget that reality ever existed. Mushrooms work in waves and they will temporary suck you into very deep hypnotic-like trances. They will fuck with you sense of time and memory. -
Leo Gura replied to egoless's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Yes, at high doses you'll go fully nondual. But mushrooms are twisted. So your mind will struggle to fully understand what is happening. 5-MeO is more clear and direct, and much deeper, much faster. -
Leo Gura replied to Marinus's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
That's what the LSD is for -
Martin Ball has done lots of both. He describes them both in his autobiography. The 5-MeO is more intense from what I understand. Much of the intensity of ayahausca has to do with the vomiting and nausea, and the whole ordeal of doing it in a ceremonial setting. 5-MeO is a more pure mind-fuck. It's so intense because it's so direct. You go from 0 to infinity in 10 minutes with no bullshit in between.
