  1. You have some valid points. Of course I expect to be mindfucked some more and errors to be expunged in this process. But I cannot hold JM in such high regard as you do. From everything I've studied and experienced, what he says just doesn't ring fully correct. As one example, he says in one of this books that there are a single digit number of enlightened people on the planet. This is patently false to me. Of course I could be wrong. People will have to judge for themselves. I can only judge as best as I can judge. But I don't see JM as the highest realized master. I smell closedmindedness in him, despite whatever awakening he has obviously had. And I smell that you have drank his cool-aid a little too much. As far a "further", I'm all for that. The thing I try to get across to people the most is that "you do not know how deep the rabbit hole goes, so don't rest on your laurels, thinking you've completed the journey."
  2. @pankoo Good for you. Why would I think you're trolling me? I'm happy to see people getting enlightened, or having glimpses. That's the whole point of what I do: sharing the profundity of these insights with people. The whole point is that no one is in control of when these insights dawn. It's not up you or me. For some people it happens in 3 days, for others it happens in 30 years, and for others it never happens at all. I've seen old ladies who hardly know anything about enlightenment have big breakthroughs very quickly while more serious students of nonduality stay stuck. It actually helps to be a newb at this. The more conceptual knowledge of enlightenment you have, the worse it can be. Keep in mind, you probably have deeper to go. And beginner's luck tends to run out.
  3. We are speaking about different levels of reality. In the same way that you can speak about a "cat" or a the molecules making up the cat. Both descriptions are describing the same thing, but from different levels. From the ultimate level, there are no brains. But from the ordinary-life level, we speak of "brains" because it is convenient, in the same way that speaking of "cats" is convenient. The interplay between brain, mind, and consciousness is infinitely complex. It's an utterly self-involved strange loop. You cannot separate these things out neatly. What "the brain" really means is not a physical object inside of which reality is rendered, but an involution of consciousness which interplays with itself.
  4. So get your finances in order. BTW, it doesn't cost that much to live in different places.
  5. Okay, thanks for the support ya'll. I'll be hatching some plans.
  6. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3761619/ It's a rather technical subject. In humans, the synchronization of alpha, theta, and gamma waves produces the Buddhist state of mind called Rigpa -- knowledge of the Ground. I've tried doing the synchronization. It's pretty nifty. A very peaceful state.
  7. I don't know. I don't see people raising kundalini after enlightenment. That's something people usually do before hand.
  8. You're in for one hell of an epiphany! Excited for you to finally see it Sure, I'd enjoy being on Joe's podcast. I don't think he knows who I am though and I bet he gets a ton of requests. If you guys wanna let him know, that would be cool. Twitter is probably the best way to reach him. I think we'd have a great conversion about consciousness and psychedelics and stuff like that.

  10. What exactly are you claiming I'm saying is false?
  11. I'm not saying women should rule the world. I'm just making an observation about how the human species rules itself. It does so through alpha-male domination. It's been doing this for over 2000 years. And the values of our cultures are often defined by these dominate alpha-males, so much so that it goes unnoticed. Women have only been able to vote for like 80 years. Think about that. In many Middle Eastern countries women aren't even allowed to drive or open a bank account without male permission. It's pretty fucked up. And while America is much more equal today, do you really think 2000 years of that kind of oppression has been weeded out of our collective consciousness?
  12. @Cameron Yup, indeed that's how language is. But not just language, the fabric of reality itself. Did you see my Derrida video? Def check it out if you haven't. It's about this.
  13. @Cjaryo Do you feel emotions for other people's suffering?
  14. @Outer Step outside your male-dominant perspective. The fact that women are forced to wear business suits and compete for top alpha chimp in business environments just goes to show the extent of the patriarchy. If women ran the world, it would be a very different place. Not perfect, but certainly not the madness we commonly see today. Yes, patriarchy stems from biology. I have a book on my book list about the differences between chimps and bonobos. It really puts the human ape into perspective.
  15. Kriya yoga is a comprehensive system that is designed to gradually open all the chakras with the end-goal of opening the crown. If you do the practice, you shouldn't need to worry about each individual chakra. Although you could do additional visualization techniques to fix up any lagging chakras. I like visualizing opening the heart chakra. It feels great. See kundalini book in my book list for more ideas about how to do that. See Kriya yoga book in my book list for a set of step-by-step instructions for Kriya practice.
  16. There's a quick way to test it. Autistic person + psychedelic = ?????? I would assume it works just like usual. Which shows you there is hope.
  17. I have also seen research which shows that enlightenment / mystical states are functionally identical to what the brain does the the moment of physical death. In rats, at the moment of their death, their alpha, theta, and gamma brainwaves all synchronize.
  18. @vikisss1 You're barking up the right tree. All distinctions ultimately collapse. That's what allows for nonduality/oneness. If any distinctions whatsoever remained, it would still be duality. The distinction between ANYTHING is a false one. Including the distinction between existence and non-existence, and life and death.
  19. @snowleopard I agree with you that we are in a very strong patriarchy (and have been for the last 2000 years). But I disagree that it is ending anytime soon. There is a very strong backlash happening right now by the patriarchy against the rise of feminism. Look at the popularity of pickup, red pill philosophy, MOGTOW, Trumpism, nationalism, the war on terror, etc. All of that is patriarchy run wild. It's like the patriarchy is going through its death-throes, but that will still take many decades or centuries to complete itself. Our social institutions have a hyper-masculine quality to them. People are scared of love, vulnerability, compassion, community, and all the other "softer" feminine qualities. Most men are really threatened by that. Isn't it interesting that not a single mass murder in the US (which happens every week) has been committed by a woman? There is definitely a lot our society has to learn from women. Here's a really good book on this topic: http://amzn.to/2DBYhte
  20. My experience with neurofeedback is that it can quickly teach a person how to meditate very efficiently, cutting time off the traditional trial and error process. It can also optimize the functioning of the brain -- which is different from optimizing the mind. Training the brain is actually a different task than training the mind. Yes, I'm aware of the irony of their not being a brain, and yet it still being trainable. It's paradoxical stuff.
  21. The only problem with it is, you gotta pay like $20,000. And it won't make you enlightened, although it could help to optimize your brain function. I've done much cheaper versions of neurofeedback training at home. But it's really complicated and still costs at least $3000. Most people would be better off investing that money into psychedelics and meditation retreats. If you've got lots of money to burn, by all means go for it.
  22. @Aftermarket I have a good book on my book list about the problems people face with kundalini and how to deal with them, and how to awaken your kundalini safely. Seems like your kundalini awakening was more of an energetic thing, and gave you little insight into the nature of reality. That's okay. That's further than most people have gotten, so don't get discouraged. You just need to learn how to integrate it properly, and then continue with other practices like self-inquiry. If you want insight into reality, I recommend doing more contemplative practices rather than just meditation. You need to actively wonder about what reality is, not just sitting in silence or pumping energy into your body. You need to begin existential questioning. Like... Why does reality exist? What is death? What is awareness? What is God?
  23. Consciousness of the Absolute is beyond the mind. You're not being asked to trust the mind at that point. In fact, you're conscious there is no mind. Skepticism takes you to the very edge of the mind, then you go into direct nondual experience, which is beyond mind, beyond concepts, beyond doubt, beyond skepticism. The Absolute is the end result of skepticism. Skepticism goes full-circle into absolute knowing that everything is unknown being. No, "OMG, I'M GOD, I'M INFINITY!" is not ego. That's the Absolute. To the outside observer, of course, they cannot tell the difference.
