  1. Physics does not apply to infinity, physics is one outgrowth of infinity.
  2. @Betterself It doesn't have to be painful. Sounds like you've read too many trip reports or people struggling on the path. There is also the question of depth. How deep did you go? Probably not very deep. The deeper levels may prove more challenging.
  3. There's contradiction at all between being enlightened and being an alcoholic. You can do both, and more!
  4. You expect a bunch of materialistic Reddit trolls to understand the subtlty of nonduality?? Lol Those guys have no idea what they are up against. Just reading one random sentence of his critique and it's already ignorance of the plainest sort.
  5. @Vinnie Move to a very cheap part of the country to live, somewhere in the middle of the woods, live spartan, and do your consciousness work from morning till night until you become deeply enlightened. If you go at it hardcore like that, it should happen pretty fast; within a year. Read Om Swami's book on my book list to see how he did it. He was real hardcore about it. This isn't rocket science. You just need to have the will to do it. Buddha-style.
  6. I don't doubt Osho's enlightenment. He was a squirrely guru tho. And the cult around seems a bit irresponsible.
  7. Nothing, just rest it on your thigh or in your lap.
  8. @Achilles Start with small doses of LSD or mushrooms. See how you handle that. There is no reason to guess or speculate with psychedelics. You can dose very small and see exactly what your tolerance level is. You just have to be patient and responsible, unlike what most people do: just eyeball a big dose, damn the consequences.
  9. @Hsinav Yeah, maybe. Not everyone is willing to scour through all of Osho's YT videos.
  10. @Betterself That's very very common. I've had that too. The reason is goes away is because the enlightenment needs to be deep enough and total enough so that your mind understands the mechanism of the illusion. What is really going on? That's usually not clear after one glimpse. Many glimpses may be required because the materialist/dualist paradigm sits very deep in the mind. It's like your operating system, and it needs rewiring. Also, the Truth itself needs to be distinguished from the exciting experience or the emotional after-effects. There is a difference between mystical states and insight.
  11. @Timotheus I never said that. I am saying the opposite. With lots of consciousness work you can end your suffering, at least for this incarnation. Next incarnation is another matter, and is irrelevant to this incarnation. Suffering is simply the result of being an ego.
  12. @Clown I would say that you don't need or want a guru, but it is extremely valuable to meet and learn from enlightened masters face-to-face. It's a very different experience than watching a YT video or reading a book. The trap would be to fall in love with one teacher and stop thinking critically and stop studying various sources. But if you are serious about this work, you should get off your ass and go meet some quality teachers face-to-face. They will help transform you. Just don't start fawning all over them. And, yes, STILL read books and watch YT videos. Do not subscribe to any one teacher or teaching.
  13. Cause that one sits under the whole pyramid
  14. @Crystalous A grain of sand is infinitely large. Yes, thought is a form of reality. There is no boundary between a thought and a car. The substance of reality is one.
  15. @ZeN Do not start with any high dose trips. Figure out how to hit a threshold dose first using your odd orange substance. Then, GRADUALLY up the dose in 5mg increments. Your dosing should look like this: 5mg >> 10mg >> 15mg >> 20mg >> 25mg >> 30mg Only move to the next dose if you were able to handle the previous one.
  16. @vanish Be careful. Do not do anything to harm yourself physically. You are here to solve the puzzle of life, not to escape it.
  17. @Edvard God is not happening through time. God has already instantly experienced everything there can ever be experienced. God just IS everything. It doesn't wait for things to unfold. Waiting for things to unfold is a human limitation. God has no interest or agenda. God just IS. God's "agenda" is to exist as everything possible.
  18. @Crystalous Every object is infinite. Reality has infinite resolution.
  19. You should be able to dissolve even 30mg of 5-MeO in 0.3ml of water within 10 seconds without even stirring it. 5-MeO dissolves instantly, like table salt. It sounds like you got some bullshit 5-MeO, or perhaps it's freebase, not HCl? Freebase doesn't dissolve in water, it needs to be dissolved in oil or something. I dunno, never tried it with freebase. Or maybe the powder you have is not 5-MeO at all. You could try snorting a tiny bit (5mg) just to see what it feels like. Snorting freebase should be very painful. But even 5-10mg snorted should produce some funky effects. Not enough for a trip, but you will definitely feel the 5-MeO "flavor" and some mild intoxication. If your 5-MeO is orange-colored (assuming it is 5-MeO at all) it might be a low purity, requiring a larger dose. Pure 5-MeO should be white.
  20. Enlightenment may be the end of suffering for you as a human (assuming you become massively enlightened and embody it totally). But all the other creatures will still carry on in their ignorance. For example, The Buddha supposedly became full enlightened and ended his suffering. Okay, but now here you are! You are The Buddha! Do you suffer? Of course! Since you don't know you're The Buddha, you're back into suffering. So The Buddha continues to suffer as every unenlightened life form. If one enlightenment were enough to end all suffering in the world, all suffering would have ceased to exist since 2500 BC onward. Yet here we are, still trying to get enlightened. Every individual must complete his/her own enlightenment. It does no good for you that The Buddha once got enlightened -- even though you are identical to him -- because you are not conscious that you are identical with him. That's the whole problem.
  21. @Hardkill You can work on multiple facets of your life and the hierarchy at once. It would be a mistake to start only from the bottom of the hierarchy and not do any other work (like meditation) because you tell yourself, "Well, Maslow said I cannot learn to meditate until I satisfy all my sexual cravings, because meditation is a need higher up the hierarchy." Instead, how the hierarchy can be useful is by showing you where you need more development and what is holding you back. For example, you meditate for a year and you notice you're not getting the great results you expected, so you ask yourself, "Hmmmm... I wonder what my problem is? Oh, yeah! It's because I haven't had sex in 5 years and my mind is driving me crazy to be in relationship. Maybe I should fix this issue. Or maybe it's because I've been living in my parents basement for 5 years and my mind is telling me it's time to get a job and move out on my own." Don't use the hierarchy to limit yourself, use it to diagnose obstacles which need addressing. A serious spiritual seeker can pretty much ignore the entire hierarchy and shoot straight for self-transcendence. Although this is rare.
  22. @Extreme Z7 By facing it head-on. By doing hardcore spiritual practice. You've been told all the standard techniques a hundred times now. Start doing it. And start doing it seriously.
  23. I wouldn't make a habit of it. But it can be very valuable to see what true love feels like. Some people have very closed hearts. It's also possible using other psychedelics, but MDMA is supposed to be the most direct path. I get infinite love sometimes on psychedelics, but it's not consistent. MDMA specifically targets that part of the brain.
  24. Not sure, I have not experienced anything like that. Do the yoga gently. You shouldn't be exerting much force or effort.
