  1. @Alien You answered your own question. If enlightenment is raw reality, and reality is infinite, well... there you have it. You can keep exploring it forever.
  2. @erik8lrl Welcome to true spirituality You've only seen 1% of the rabbit hole.
  3. @egoless The mind is a creativity engine. It can tap into infinite creativity to shape reality in amazing ways. The mind is not merely to be transcended. It must be purified, trained, fed, and harnessed to do great work. Then you have the best of both worlds. You have a supercomputer between your ears yet what do you use it for? Watching stupid cat videos and criticizing others? Rather a waste, no?
  4. I don't get why you guys tie yourselves in knots over this seeker issue. OF COURSE the point of all seeking is the end of seeking! It's like you got in a car to go to New York and then once you got there you make a big fuss: "What??? That's it??? No more driving??? But why did I drive then???" You drove to get to where you got. P.S. But also, there is more driving to do! Don't think you've reached the end. You have not
  5. LoA is very powerful stuff. Used it to build Actualized.org through sheer programming of my vision into my mind, despite all by beliefs that it could not be done and that I suck. The problem is, most people are never taught how to apply LoA. It's not just about imagining $100000000 checks.
  6. @Amadeusz The key is developing a compelling positive, higher consciousness vision for your life, and drilling that into your head. The vision must come from your heart. That's what the LP course is about.
  7. @7thLetter Of course there is no absolute best way to live. But characterizing self-actualization as closedmindedness towards negativity is like characterizing being a man as closedmindedness towards having a vagina. Why you gotta frame it in such a silly way? And nonduality transcends positive/negative anyways.
  8. @Joseph Maynor Sounds like a quality businessman, unlike Trump.
  9. Just as long as you avoid imagining how hairy his balls must be
  10. @TylerW Because it is absued. People with bad intentions will use it to hijack the community for themselves. Communities involve politics, egos, and power struggles. People will use these private groups for money, sex, power, status, starting cults, spreading rumors, in-fighting, scheming, etc. This is a very well-known phenomena. It happens like clockwork, and it's tried to happen several times before on this forum. The solution is to uproot it immediately. Yes, that might seem harsh, but the alternative is worse. An unmoderated community devolves into chaos very quickly. Finding the right balance between moderation and freedom is the key. Sometimes that means stepping on a few peoples toes or restricting some freedoms.
  11. It's not weird at all. In practice, even the most enlightened people must use the mind for practical matters and to make decisions and evaluations, which are based on imperfect information, so they can always be wrong. There is a lot more to knowledge and life than strictly enlightenment. The mind is filled with thousands of beliefs, even for an enlightened master. He couldn't navigate everyday life otherwise. Just to flip on a light switch, you must hold the belief that it will work. And if it fails to work, you'll be in for a bit of a rude awakening. Ralston also never claims complete enlightenment. He says it has infinite depth. Which is a very smart position to take.
  12. He refuses to accept that 5-MeO-DMT gives an experience of the Absolute. He also claims that yogis are not enlightened. And that kundalini rising cannot lead to enlightenment. He is simply wrong on those points (according to me of course; you will have to discover who is right for yourself).
  13. @How to be wise What truly doesn't add up is people acting 100% perfectly, or minds thinking 100% accurately. Point me out one such person. I have witnessed the most enlightened of masters talking factual falsehoods. Precisely as expected!
  14. @Charlotte Personally, I've found psychedelics to be very effective for dealing with the fear-of-death obstacle. After a couple of dozen deep ego-deaths on psychedelics, you stop worrying about it and the fear of it drops away.
  15. @JustinS I dunno. Doesn't happen to me. Look into shorter-duration substances like AL-LAD, mushrooms, 2C-B, 5-MeO, DMT, etc.
  16. I like having several books started at once. Helps keep the momentum going if I get stuck or demotivated with one of them. Sometimes a book is great, but then peters out half way through, or rambles too long. And sometimes I just get fed up with the topic and get curious about something else. Really great books, of course, are worth 100% focus. But those kinds of books are rare and it will happen naturally when you find one that you can't put it down.
  17. This is just untrue. There are dozens of techniques which lead to nonduality/enlightenment. It's a mistake to assume that only one school or one technique has a monopoly on Truth. If that were really the case, everyone would be using that one technique and nothing else. The vast diversity you see in the spiritual marketplace bespeaks the multitude of paths up the mountaintop. As you do more research and experiment with diverse techniques yourself, you'll start to see this.
  18. @John Good. So you've taken your first step. But that's just the beginning. One trip won't radically change you. It takes many trips and combining it with contemplation and meditation and self-inquiry and read books and building good habits to start to make lasting changes. And even then, the changes are gradual. You cannot change the shape of your teeth overnight. You have to wear braces for years to gradually correct them. Same thing with your mind and this work. I like to trip every 2 weeks, consistently. I have found this to be the perfect schedule. Unless I have a really deep trip that requires more time to integrate. I have gotten to the point where any trip on any substance, even small doses, takes me to straight to Absolute Infinity, and I can largely control the trip without any fear. I can use the trip to heal myself physically and psychologically and introspect about many things. I have access to infinite wisdom. But that's taken about a year and a half of tripping to achieve. Not to mention the thousands of hours of meditation, contemplation, research, study, and self-inquiry which I've done. It all adds up. 5-MeO-DMT is really helpful for taking your tripping to a whole new level. Although I haven't even done 5-MeO in over a year. Half a tab of LSD will send me to infinity the likes of which most people have never experienced. For me, visuals on 1 tab of LSD (125ug) are mild. But my consciousness goes to total infinity. At this level of consciousness, there is zero difference between life and death, all living beings are one, all of nature is understood, and the love is heartbreaking.
  19. @Charlotte That feeling of feeling shitty is the sting of truth, and a sign that spiritual purification is happening. Did you think your mind would send you happy, positive rewards for trying to hack it?? Of course not! The mind will ruthlessly punish you for trying to disrupt its carefully-laid deceptions. When you fuck with a tyrant's plans, expect a tyranical over-reaction. Rebels (freedom fighters) are squashed like ants by The Empire.
  20. What existed before you were born? If it didn't exist before you were born, it's not real.
  21. In an effort to make this forum more useful and resource-packed, I want to get some practical "mega threads" going. For this, I need your help! This thread is specifically for all kinds of meditation techniques. If you have videos, links, or personal experiences with a specific meditation technique, post it here. Discussion is also welcome, but keep it constructive. Try to avoid armchair philosophy, debating, or keyboard-jockeying. Try to speak from your direct experiences with these techniques. There are 100s of techniques out there. Let's get to work analyzing and cataloguing them. Our aim here is to create a comprehensive resource for people getting started with meditation or people trying to broaden their practice. Let's keep resources for self-inquiry or direct-pointing-to-enlightenment for another thread. This thread is specifically for meditation and concentration practices.
  22. I want to remind people that anyone caught using this forum or the PM system to recruit members to off-site discussions like Skype, Discord, private chatrooms, etc. will be banned without warning. This is not only against Forum Guidelines, but a danger to this community, which risks creating fractures and corruption. Moderators have zero oversight or control of what happens outside this forum. I take the recreation of cults very seriously. Do not use this forum to recruit anyone or pitch any groups or schemes, regardless of whether they are "free" or anything else of that nature. In doing so, you are opening a can worms which you do not yet understand. The potential for abuse here is very great, which is why I have a zero tolerance policy about this. Please keep all conversations on this forum. Or otherwise, find yourself a different community to join. Anyone found joining such secret groups is subject to perma-ban without warning. If you see people doing this, please report them to a Moderator or myself. Thank you
  23. @Omario You can expect to have your mind blown in ways you cannot expect.
