  1. I doubt this will create the change you want. I see this as a sort of virtual riot. And while I understand why people riot and how Wall Street maybe deserves some riots, I'm not really supportive of riots because they are unconscious and get out of control. In general, I am wary of stage Green mob activities. Although I understand why they happen and perhaps they are necessary in some cases. But they can easily get out of hand. I can't be optimistic about mobs of angry people doing stuff out of spite.
  2. The whole thing just strikes me a juvenile. - - - - - If the hedge funds were wrong, were they not punished by the market for being wrong about a stock? Anyone shorting Tesla must have lost a ton of money. So what more punishment do they need?
  3. Well, it's a tricky situation. You're damned if you do and damned if you don't. In this case I laughed due to how naive and entitled that position is. The idea that you should be able to survive without work is one of the most obnoxiously entitled ideas I've ever heard. Only a young Zoomer could believe such things. I don't respect or have sympathy for people who don't want to work.
  4. Don't make this place look bad. That is not why I post these videos. These are valuable epistemic lessons which you are missing.
  5. That's not the point. The point is he is you but you're not aware of it.
  6. @Hardkill Progressives are gonna whine and blame no matter what. Their whole worldview is so unrealistic that it condemns them to a lifetime of whining and blaming. Don't fall into that trap.
  7. Ahahahaha.... If you know what is within you, then go lead others and be a boss.
  8. I have no idea what you fucking thought, but most progressives seem to be cheering on the Redditors. Like this:
  9. Get an RO system which remineralizes the water. Drinking water without minerals is bad. The cost difference is negligible.
  10. It's government. People will have different worldviews than yours. Can't really help that.
  11. This whole situation is a pointless red herring. It will solve nothing. I don't even want to waste my mental energy thinking about this tempest in a teapot.
  12. If you are cheering on the Redditors, then you think they are doing something good against the elites who do something wrong. Don't play word games with me.
  13. I said "skirting laws and rules". Don't act like some lawyer here. Your issues with Wall Street not primarily legal ones.
  14. I think they'll most likely just crack down on Reddit.
  15. The idea that some Reddit punks are gonna lead to systemic Wall Street regulation reform is rather silly. The problems with Wall Street are way too big for that. This can only be done with serious Congressional legislation -- for which there is no will. These Redditors might even end up gaining sympathy for those billionaires from the SEC.
  16. Your thinking that hedge funds managers are wrong is also relative. Shorting stock is also not a crime. Being a billionaire is also not a crime. Your complaints are that shady stuff is done by rich people which is not technically a crime, but ought to be. Well, this is a two-way street with Reddit.
  17. @Vision Are you sure you want to know?? Well, then, if you dare: "What are all the ways I'm lying to myself?"
  18. The very thing you complain about: people on Wall Street skirting laws and rules -- is what your Redditors are doing. Both are exploiting loopholes and such and acting like dicks.
  19. No government cares about bailing out one hedge fund. But the SEC will certainly care about new market manipulation schemes via social media because it potentially threatens the large market system. The SEC went after Elon Musk just for one of his tweets! Certainly they will keep a close eye on these Redditors.
  20. If you put a baby in a box and give it plenty of food and water, it will still die from lack of love. These experiments were done.
