I don't think humans will perish per se, they will just transform themselves into something unrecognizable to today's humans. Sort of how dinosaurs transformed into birds. I don't know about wisdom, but we got plenty of selfishness to swing us full-circle. Sometimes one is so foolish one stumbles into wisdom
