Ideias of Good Anti-Virius Software, Mcafee no go for me

I Just think Mcafee is just bullshiting me with fearmongering messages to lead me to by their Software.

What do you guys use? Any free one that work well?

If there is a paid one what is the one that is effective at least

I am having Avast free for now but planning to install something really good

ideas?
