Is Carl Sagan stage orange, green, or yellow?

Any thoughts? I always thought of him as a dogmatic scientific atheist type. But he's hard to pin. He's against mysticism and supernatural explanations, loves empirical scientific method.  Whatever he is, he exhibits the healthy manifestation of that stage.
