Cedrus, commonly known as cedar, is a type of tree that is mentioned in the Quran and Hadith. Cedrus libani, also known as the Cedars of Lebanon, is mentioned in the Holy Quran and the Holy Bible, recent research suggests that some species of cedar may have psychoactive properties.According to a study published in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, the essential oil of  cedrus wood increases salivary dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate levels after monotonous work. Another study published in the Journal of Essential Oil Research found that Cedrus essential oil may stimulate the release of endocannabinoids or inhibit their degradation by enzymes. Additionally, Thuja plicata, also known as Western Red Cedar, contains the active chemical Thujone, which acts on the brain like a cannabinoid. Cedrus atlantica, also known as Moroccan cedar, has been found to contain thujone, which is a psychoactive compound

.In the Quran, the cedar is the tree that grows under the throne of Allah and connects the Earth to the seventh heaven

muhammad famously  forbade the cutting of cedar trees in the desert

MY THEORY: is that muhammad was probably using cedrus as a psychedelic substance this explains his spritual experience alongside his meditation period in Jabal al-Nour inside Cave of Hira, so he was just a meditator who then turned into a war lord and a zen devil

There was, for Saba aforetime, a Sign in their homeland-two Gardens to the right and to the left.  ‘‘Eat of the Sustenance (provided) by your Lord, and be grateful to him: a territory fair and happy, and a Lord Oft-Forgiving! (15) But they turned away (from God), and We sent against them the flood (released) from the Dams, and We converted their two Garden (rows) into ‘‘gardens producing bitter fruit, and tamarisks, and some few (stunted) Lote-trees. (16)

2.     SURAH LIII (An-Najm-The Star). V : 7-18

While he was in the highest part of the horizon: (7) Then he  approached and came closer, (8) and was at a distance of but two bow-lengths or (even) nearer; (9) so did (God) convey the inspiration to His Servant (conveyed) what He (meant) to convey. (10) The (Prophet’s) (mind and) heart in no way falsified that which he saw. (11) Will ye then dispute with him concerning what he saw ? (12) For indeed he saw him at a second descent, (13) near the Lote-tree  beyond which none may pass: (14) Near it is the Garden of Abode. (15) Behold, the Lote-tree was shrouded (in mystery unspeakable!) (16) (his) sight never swerved nor did it go wrong! (17) For truly did he see, of the Signs of his Lord the Greatest! (18).

3.     SURAH LVI (Al-Waqia - The Inevitable Event). V : 27 - 34

The Companions of the Right Hand,-what will be the Companions of the Right Hand ? (27) (They will be) among Lote-trees without thorns. (28) among Talh trees with flowers (or fruits) piled one above another, - (29) in shade long-extended, (30) by water flowing constantly, (31) and fruit in abundance, (32) whose season is not limited, nor (supply) forbidden, (33) And on Thrones (of Dignity), raised high. (34)

zen devil term as coined by leo gura means a person who had spritual experiences but then turns his few spritual glimpses into a cult that benefits himself so I think its true about muhammad

@shahryar Muhammad didn't need any psychedelics. When your brain is capable of imagining angels, heavnes and hells and recieving divine transmissions, you defneintely don't need psychedelics.

The Cedra tree is defenitely not psychoactive.  People use its oil here in my country all the time.

instead of saying the first thing that comes into your mind Give yourself some trouble and actually read the study that ive done and check the sources
