Carnivore diet: 150 days [Day 5 Update]

9 posts in this topic

I will post here from time to time to share my, if any, benefits I get from this dull diet.

The reasons for this diet are as follows:

● Weight loss. Started at 195 pounds. Always been a puffed up dude with tits and a belly, although most people wouldn't consider me fat. Other diets I've dried sure made me lose a lot of weight but not enough. I want to get a flat stomach which I honestly can't remember the last time I had.

● Auto-immune diseases. My scalp get insanely dry, itchy and flaky and pretty much nothing helps. Also my forehead gets dry and irritated from time to time.

● More energy and less sleep. I want to be able to wake up in the morning feeling refreshed. It doesn't matter if I sleep 6, 8 or 12 hours, I'm equally tired when I wake in the morning.

Right now I'm at day 4. It hasn't been that hard as of yet but it's a fucking boring diet. My body feels a little firmer and I feel 20% less tired in the morning.

Will update again soon.

Day 5:

Woke up with headache. Probably because I haven't been eating enough, but after a few hours I had lots of energy! Still losing a lot of weight. This morning was the first time the scaled dropped below 85 kg for over two years.

Food today was steak and creme fraiche lol. Kinda lazy but I've been crazy busy today with a few repairs around the house.

Day 6:

Low energy, not a very productive day. Had a steak for breakfast and baconwrapped halloumi for dinner. However I did wake up in the morning not feeling very tired even after only six hours of sleep. And I've lost 2 cm around my waist and cheat.

The weight loss is what's keeping my spirit up. It's troubling how I'm already disgusted with this diet. Would love to have at least some sauce on my meat.

I do find myself craving carbs every now and then, although it's not as bad as I thought it was. I guess when you're really committed to something you put the work in, no,excuses. I've been eating carbs all my life, probably way too much of it. It's time to give my body a break from it!

Day 9:

Woke up feeling rather refreshed. My scalp feels amazing. No more itching and flakes.

I thought the thread title could be edited at any time but I was wrong. Stuck with the "day 5 update" I guess.

Day 12:

My skin has improved. I'm not feeling particularly hungry. It feels like my body is finally adapted to my diet.

I am a little constipated although not as bad as I thought it would be.

An interesting thing I noticed is that my cravings are pretty much non existent. When I did a no-sugar diet for 7 months I would crave sugar so bad from time to time and it never really went away. But with this carnivore diet man... it's like "meh"

Day 14:

Didn't even pay much attention to it until now but my muscles aren't as stiff any longer. Before I'd wake up in the morning completely stiff in my muscles, especially my upper trapezius and lower back. Now it's gone! I really didn't expect that food was the cause of all this. I can even touch my toes without bending my knees lol. Couldn't do that before lol.

Day 26:

Not much new. Same as before. Steadily losing weight. Need less sleep. Quite bored with eating the same shit over and over to be honest. But it's worth keep doing.

Almost at 60 days by now. This will probably be my last post in this thread for two reasons. One being a lack of interest from people here. I guess this diet is so radical few even bother looking into it and taking it seriously. The second reason is that I haven't really gained any new benefits. All the benefits are described above.

Totally worth doing this diet if you have an autoimmune disease or simply just want to feel good. I'm starting to get in great shape. Body is tighter and tighter and I'm getting great results from lifting weights.

This diet makes life much easier for sure. No more planning for food and I know exactly what to buy and cook. A few months ago I also started to declutter my wardrobe. Sold/threw away most of my clothes and bought like five pairs of t-shirts, three sweatshirts and a pair of jeans, all from the same brand where I KNOW the clothes will last for a long time, the quality is that good! Food and clothing is a non issue. The time I save from doing a bunch of nonsense (such as washing a shit load of clothes and probably an hour of planning shopping food for a week just to name a few examples)

One small addition I want to add to this thread before I check out is that I'm transitioning to an almost 100% beef diet (salt allowed and water of course). Occasional dairy products once a week just to apice things up. This will last for the remaining three months and after that I will introduce small portions of vegetables and berries. But carbs will most likely never exist in my life in abundance. Just the fact that my muscles aren't sore any longer is completely fucking incomprehensable!

Anyway, feel free to ask questions here or in private messages if you're interested in trying this diet or have any questions.

By the way, for those interested in doing this diet for weight loss reasons: Yes, I'm still losing weight. The two month milestone should mark 10 kg of weight loss, that's 22 pounds. And I wasn't that heavy to start of with!
