B - Vitamins toxicity

3 posts in this topic

Hi, I would like to know about vitamin B complex supplements and it's daily intake. Like is it okay to take vitamin B complex supplements everyday without having deficiency? And also can anyone have any toxic effect because of B vitamins overdose?

It is fairly safe to take for an extended period of time but eventually, it would be ideal to rely on the intake from food. Plenty of foods are B-vitamin rich.

B6 can sometimes be low in people who do a lot of dietary restrictions, there is no B12 on a vegan diet so you need to supplement and for women especially women looking to conceive it is important to get sufficient folate (B9) the 3 months before conceiving and also during whole pregnancy.

Oh and typical medical tests for b-vitamins are completely unreliable unless they do specialists tests so that's something to bear in mind if you ever wanted to get tested. You need specialist tests

Multivitamins are trivial stuff. you should get your vitamins from natural stuff.
