Do You Guys Believe In A Fast Change? (like A 2 Months Drastic Change)

I was discussing with my brothers and they seem to think that its possible a person that, idk, used to smoke quit smoking in like 2 months and dont get nothing from it.
And they asked me: Why some people takes years to quit smoking and some people just take 2 months to? (even if i think is not possible).
I totally desagree with them, i think the process is way too longer and deeper than 2 months to change...what you guys think about?

They are likely to just turn into another addiction, but it is possible to make up your mind about quitting smoking for sure. It is also possible to completely do it in one go, but usually it takes mental preparation and learning stuff to do.

The point is not the smoke, i used it as an example...i mean by 'change a strong habit out of the blue', change fundamental habits
