Is this what Leo is pointing with the hand meditation?

The relevant section starts at 10:11. Here’s the transcript of that part:

So, there is something we have been doing wrong, and that's why many people start to feel tired and can't stay there. We just need one switch, just one really tiny change within your mindset. Right now, when you're looking at whatever that thing you are looking at, or you are mindful of, or you're aware of. You are thinking or you're believing or maybe your awareness or consciousness is almost like going out. Eye consciousness is, or eye awareness is going out, toward that object, whatever that object, and then you are staying there. Your eye awareness is going out, your eye awareness consciousness is just stuck there in that object and you have to hold that object in order to be mindful or aware of that object. That is very tiring, that is very tiring, that is the wrong way to do.

Now, what is the right way to do in order to help us to be get into mahamudra get into Dzogpa chenpo, get into the reflection of mind. Okay, what is the right way now, just listen very carefully, the right way is that you should not go out which means just stay wherever you are. Stay wherever you are, that awareness, just stay there, wherever you are. As the moon reflects on very still water, very calm still water, the moon is reflecting on that water. So the water, that lake or that pond water is not going toward the moon, and aware of the moon. That might be too much energy to spend for the water to go all the way to moon, and then observe and be mindful of the moon. No, moon is just reflecting, the water is not going toward the moon. So it is just there.

I will repeat it again. Whatever you are seeing right now. Not you are going out, or your awareness consciousness going out to that object, and you are aware of that object. No. Let that whatever the image. The object, let it invite in your awareness, it is reflecting in your awareness, you're not going out. The image is reflecting within the awareness. It's much easier, much better. That's called union, that's called the union. Now we are going towards Mahamudra or Dzogchen. The union of outer and inner. You can't separate the reflection of moon and the water. It's one. So right now whatever you're seeing, it's not there, it's here in awareness. It's part of you. Inseparable. Almost like awareness is manifesting that form, but inseparable. In a non duality of manner. The state of non duality.

Not like eye awareness is aware of that object. No, no. It is.

Right now keep looking at. Don't go outside, just stay wherever you are. Don't try to look anything outside. Please just relax. Let whatever to be reflect in your awareness, without separating it. Without subject and object.

Good, you all are doing coaches relax. And that is the reality. Right now we are seeing the truth. That is the ultimate shine lhagtong union. That is the real ultimate shine and lhagtong union. Itself is mahamudra and dzogchen. The nature of mind. The truth. It is there, but it's not there as the Heart Sutra explains.

Okay, now, take a deep breath. And gently close your eyes. Gently close your eyes. And just relax.

It is not only about the outside what you have just observed, but anything which is arising within you. Any image, any past image, future image, good image, bad image, good experience, bad experience, good thought, bad thought, anything arising within you. Don't look at it, as it is separate. Or don't look at it as it is ‘there’. Just looked at it as it is reflecting within the awareness. Without separating it, you will be so surprised. You will not see any bad quality. So called bad and good, that concept is arising from the duality, the separate. I and you, this and that, good and bad. It's all separate. But if you start to seeing without and within. Everything is reflecting within awareness. inseparable. You can't separate it into good and bad. You can't put into category. In order to put into category or labelling it you have to be separate. You have to be dualistic. The dualistic approach.

So whatever is arising within you don't separate from your pure awareness. Don't put into a category of bad. “Past is bad”, no. There's no bad. Good, it just happened. It was an event. It was an event, it happened and it's just gone. It's not bad, it's not good. There's nothing to push and pull. Just see every event as an event, not good or bad, right or wrong. And maybe whatever happening in your life right now, or what will going to happen, just see as it is without pushing, pulling, adding and subtracting. Without putting into category and without giving it any labelling.

Good. Now okay, relax. Take a deep breath. So just relax your body, relax your arm, whatever. Just come back to maintaining that, maintaining that mind of awareness.

I would say yes! It's like when you look at your hands, they are coming alive to you– you are not reaching out and trying to find it intensely with your eyes. It takes a stepping back, a looking at it as a whole. It's like the difference between looking at one finger and looking at the silhouette of a hand and then in doing so seeing the whole hand and everything in between, instead of just one finger. If that makes sense.
