This Teen Needs Some Guidance.

Well hello there, i wanted to tell you a bit about myself and the struggles im having with this self-help work. Any help is very much appreciated.

So im a 14 year old guy, who since very little was gravitating towards this kind of stuff, spirituality, life purpose, and like life itself in i think a different manner than most people, since i can remember i was able to see ghosts, and that stopped at around 10. I have gone to some tarot reads and rune stuff and they have told me like i have an important "magic" and that i have a very good sense of intuition, and that is true for me or at least it was that way not so long ago. At around 12-13 i kind of stopped with all of this connection with what i would call some "different way of thinking" or maybe "higher conciousness", because i started immersing myself more into pop culture and like teen-related matters, mostly because of social pressure and my familie's influence. So about 1 month ago i found actualized.org, and i know it is the right path. As disfucntional as a "normal" teen woould be, i realized that i would not be able to achieve higher conciousness and stuff like enlightment if im still playing videogames for more than 12 hours on my free-from-school days, If im still watching porn, and all of this distractions.

So now im kind of stuck. I want to take this path, but something just doesn't click for me. It's like im missing that "a-ha" moment or something. What i kind of realize is that i am missing a plan, and i tried to make one like: ok so im gonna do my homework after eating, then go swimming depending on what day it is, and try to set a meditation habit, a breathing excercise habit and self-assesment habit, I think this would be a good first step but its just like i cant take action. Recently my grades have been going down to the point of failing some classes, wich was not my case before at all, i was not an A student either but i was "decent". After  checking my total hours on steam (3000+) i came to a realization of how much time i have wasted. So after that i came to youtube for some help on how to break this habit and found actualized.org.

So really what i think im having is trouble taking action, i already took the first step on actually getting interested in this kind of stuff but im having a hard time breaking my habits and choosing good ones such as meditation. Homeo-stasis kicks in whenever i try no-fap, or leaving youtube or videogames.

After watching one of leo's videos yesterday about death, it also came to mind how short of a time i have and i really dont wanna waste it and flush it down the toilet. What bothers me though is that i can like "realize" this but it does not become "a-ha" moments. Is this where im failing? i also think i have a lack of vision, and even though now i know  i can create this amazing life im just still lacking drive and motivation, wich i connected dots to videogames and porn, as those things destroy motivation.

I am also lost in the sense that there is so much to improve on. There's all this areas and sides of life you can improve  and i dont know where to start.

So can anyone tell me how i can start? maybe a plan for the future or something? maybe pointing out the most important thing im failing on and i'll try to work on it.

Also i have a quick question: is realizing stuff but not as an "a-ha" moment bad?

Thank you very much in advance..

Its great to hear you are getting involved into personal development so young.

If your just staring out, make a list of your the things you want to change in your life. Then highlight what is your biggest are in your life which needs work. What other reasons do you want to reduce gaming and do no-fap? Anything significant which needs addressing? Get journalling on these things -- I would recommend getting a journal/exercise book and writing in it everyday. You could journal on the following things:

  • Who do I want to be in 5 years time?
  • What did I do well with my day today? What could have I improved on?
  • Goals for next 6 months.
  • Fears
  • What can I do to grow today?

https://www.actualized.org/blueprint/journaling

I would advise trying to get a good daily routine first-- sort out your get plenty of sleep every night, exercise regularly, book end your days, eat well, be productive. Check out Brian Johnson : https://www.optimize.me/master-classes/ You have to subscribe $10 a month but it is super cheap for the value you receive and it is a great foundation for improving your life.

Also check out Leo's playlist for 'Foundations of Self-Actualization' -- Interesting how Spiritual Enlightenment videos aren't included. Start on getting the basics handled.

All the best

Wow your a very young age to be into self development. I'm curious what lead you on this path.

I'm 17 years old myself but didn't know people even younger would be on the forum so I guess I shouldn't make assumptions.

One thing that might cheer you up is at least your not 40 and at where you are. You have an advantage of being so aware of how your habits are limiting your growth.

Building habits can be a tricky thing if you just won't to change and rely on "will power" to help you all the way on this one. There is a reason you use or take part in these unhealthy habits and it's because you are using them inside as a bandage for a fatal wound. The problem is that if you don't treat it and just cover it up your going to continually bleed until you die.

Obviously that is metaphorical but if you don't get deep into the core of why you are using these habits I assure you that suffering will come. Over the years mental issues can arise or just in general a sense lack of satisfaction in life.

There are many many different things that might be required to reprogram your mind and body again but I recommend the following:

  • Shadow work (Check out someone like Byron Katie or Teal Swan for more information)
  • Change your diet (plant based) (people underestimate this one)
  • Get Counselling Support (you don't need depression for therapy and if you get over the stigma it can change your life)
  • Support Groups (meet people in similar circumstances)
  • Meditation Retreat (to learn how to Meditate and gain the discipline)
  • Psychedelics (most people would to not try this until your older but they can wake you up and get you motivated again as well as much more profound things)

These are just suggestions but what you need is support to help you out in my opinion. No man/woman is an island as they say and if you spend a lot of time in a low concious environment or with low concious friends/family it can take a toll on you over time and make it easy for you to slip up.

Message people and make friends who are pursuing the same goals as you such as quitting pornandstarting a meditation routine. It dosent even have to be a physical friendship but online like on this forum.

Anyway if you need any more advice or help just message me on this forum and we can chat more. I'm willing to help in anyway I can so don't be afraid to get in touch.

I wish you the best :)

I was 15 when i started my search.

What I did was reading everything I could get my hands on,

Ones I started reading I found out the more I learned. The more I realized I didnt know a whole lot.

After 6 mounths of 10 hours studying and reading a day I was convinced I knew shit.

But I with in a year I felt like I was just over the middle. Than I could connect picies of knowledge.

From than on it was easy. Because of all this knowledge it solved many problems I had just because of the fact that I could place things in perspective.

What I studied was History of prime numbers, the piramids, tesla, dr ramond royal rife, frequenties, wavelangs, fibernatie, the golden number, math, cellbiology, regression therapy, reiki, about stones, vitamines, silverwater, just to name a few.

I like to learn it from a lot of different viewpoints so I could compare and test things. This way I didnt hang myself by just studying I perspective and had no way of checking the correctness of it

So to solve a problems which youre stuck with and you can get someone to help you out. Go and search everything you can find. What is written about such a problem or video. Fun thing is you get smarter and got the problem solved its a double win.
