Nahm gave me really good advice. On coping with narcissistic abuse. 

 

Self love...top of mind ....

Enough sleep.

A clean diet.

Daily exercise.

Daily meditation. 

Aligning thoughts with feeling. 

Some time spent each day on what you enjoy, and specifically activities which highlight and expand on your unique gifts.

Break routine. Take a solo trip somewhere new.  

Order / try something new, outside your typical day to day. Could be a new food, a more expressive flamboyant blouse, anything. 

Body pampering...not sure what the options are over there in India but things like mani & pedi, massage, float tanks, etc, etc. 

Anything whatsoever which is creative. Drawing, painting, clay, anything. To ‘connect’ in creation is ‘connect’ in self love. 

Then, happiness, peace of mind, love, etc, all the Goodies, are far less contingent upon relationships with others. 

Sun’s just gotta shine  that’s your thingy. ?

Narcissists would avoid you like the plague.

  • Don't be a push over 
  • Don't be a people pleaser 
  • Build solid boundaries 
  • Don't be naive 
  • Block Empathy and absorb the empathy back to yourself 
  • Raise barriers and filters 
  • Be a good judge of character
  • Avoid narcissists in the future 
  • Connect with Self and nature and Heal the inner sanctum 
  • Learn to say No 
  • Learn to reject narcissists
  • Don't be afraid of offending someone who is violating your boundaries 
  • Don't get scared or impacted by someone's domination 
  • Everything is mirror, shadow and karma 
  • Learn to psychoanalyse people before they take a seat in your life in a more personal way 
  • Keep yourself emotionally safe. Work on emotional safety. 
  • Stop giving narcissists their narcissistic supply, stop praising them
  • Don't be a codependent

I'm also going to talk about toxic stimulation both toxic emotional stimulation and dopamine related stimulation

The thing with narcissistic abuse is that even if you wanted to leave a narcissist, it's not possible. You might reject and leave the narcissist but the narcissist doesn't leave you. 

For example I would disappear for weeks from Joseph in order to leave him but somehow he would find me out and get me back with his sympathy seeking tears and love bombing. 

So the goal here is to make the narcissist leave you and this can be done by not giving the narcissist anything at all. Just nothing. Zero. No affection. No praise. No support no nothing.

  • Flow with reality.

It's a place of truth and awareness and authenticity. Where you can be just yourself. 

I like visualizing Zicxxxxxcagon. 

It brings a feeling of peace. The journal is all about being aware a and having a place of guidance.

Wonderful post from Nahm in keyhole's thread

 

Sharing only from experience, I tried all kinds of stuff. What worked, as in lasting liberation of suffering, or, a body mind filled with true self love & happiness, and thriving like I desired to, was not solving the past, but spotting how I perpetuated it. By understanding how I was ‘keeping it going’, I began to understand the past, and how it related & did not relate to my outlook, esteem, mindset & future. I found there were thoughts about myself which felt terrible. I was believing I felt terrible because they were unfortunately true. I found they felt terrible because they were not true. You absolutely can do something about it. Everything amply inspected does dissolve in the light of awareness. This is absolute, there is no exception to this.

Ultimately I found I completely misunderstood how the body, mind, reality, being, and emotions worked together as one. Once I understood this I released a lot of emotional misunderstanding, and a ton of peace, love, understanding, and amazing feeling flooded the body mind. I thought I was really fucked up too, and I felt like I couldn’t do anything about it, and I was scared for my future. Horrified, rendered helpless really. I also wanted to fix it, and I also wanted to manage it. I tried that for years and it had no effect at all. 

Simultaneously aligning thought, feeling & source,  & letting go of what did not align, literally every single aspect of my life changed. With words I can only tell you this is an unthinkable, unbelievable miracle, which is absolutely possible for you to experience as well.
