Would you accept unlimited power/money if you knew it was wrong?

Now this is not supposed to be a religious thread - just a moral thought experiment.

 

Would you, given the choice, accept unlimited power/money here on earth in exchange for your "soul"?

"In exchange for your soul" meaning that you know it's wrong, (morally speaking). Every time that you do give in just a little bit and accept some of this power/money, you know that you're upsetting the natural balance of the world - you can feel it.

 

The only way you are able to feel alright accepting this power/money is by turning off your moral compass (like they say about "psychopaths").

 

What would you do?

Try to forget that you even have this option and just live your life?

Accept only a little bit of this power/money in order to live more comfortably?

Say "f*** it", smash your moral compass, and accept the "good life"?
