Great Analogy for Psychedelics and our Society.

2 posts in this topic

While trying to convince my stubborn father that psychedelics are powerful tools, I stumbled across a useful analogy for using psychedelics.

Using psychedelics is like driving a car.

They can be dangerous if used wrong.

But the rewards outweigh the risks.

People that don't know how to drive cars are going to get into accidents and have bad trips.

However, I wouldn't illegalize cars because people get into accidents. The efficiency of cars is too great to justify a national ban on the use of cars.

This analogy can be useful for explaining to a stage Orange person the potential value of psychedlics while also acknowledging that they are risky.
