A dog knows that they feel love, when you love them.

Does a dog know that? Or does the dog merely feel good?

Are you asking if a dog can know anything at all?

Are you asking if a dog can differentiate love from good feeling?

Is this love or fear? Looks like both.

Are you asking if a dog can conceptualize love?

How is this post just me acting out my ego in the usual ways? Is this post just me venting and justifying my selfishness? Are the things you are posting in alignment with principles of higher consciousness and higher stages of ego development? Are you acting in a mature or immature way? Are you being selfish or selfless in your communication? Are you acting like a monkey or like a God-like being?

Both are problems for your position.

Just to clarify the position, I'm saying that a rationalist ignores the top left quadrant of phenomenology and views it as epistemically useless.

But the question that they're asking can only be answered from phenomenology and nowhere else.

You cannot show that you exist or that you're feeling anything empirically. The only way to know That you are feeling something is to recognize through self-awareness that you are feeling. And the only way to know that you exist is to recognize through self-awareness that you exist.

My position is that any random human can easily do this, but the rationalist has rejected basic first person knowing from ideology.

It is perfectly reasonable to question whether you're feeling love or something else, that you don't know what you're feeling. But that's not what I'm saying.

Saying that your feelings have to be proven empirically doesn't make any sense.

The dog was a random example and isnt my main point, i dont know what a dog is experiencing: but if we want to answer the question The right epistemology here is you got it intuit it. Experience + observations + insert epistemic options + contemplation.

I don't have first-person experience being a dog. I have limitations being me.
