Feelings Versus Efficiency

If a better/efficient/productive method for actualizing your goal exists, but doesn't  feel good or fulfilling, should one still stick with it?

If a slower/fulfilling/inefficient/value-centric/strengths-centric method for actualizing your goal exists, but isn't as efficient and increases the chances of failure (like a 100x), should one stick with it?

 

Leaning towards the latter--because I don't wanna be a pussy--but also because it feels good and isn't as ego driven.
