What I meant was that humans were never to wake up, but God was meant to awaken at the right time.

Well, I would perhaps word it slightly differently and  say that any relative opposite(s) must necessarily be included in the absolute totality of reality, meaning that all opposites are in fact real. So what we call "illusions" are simply specific definable parts or aspects of reality... nothing more, nothing less.
