El-Sayed embarrasses Jessie Waters by comparing transgender surgery to circumcision. Is this a post modern argument?

It's not post-modernism as much as it is a false equivalency. Circumcision is a lot less invasive and life altering. It's also completely unnecessary, so I don't see why that would justify trans surgery as an argument from that perspective.

Even two bananas have differences. I think we can choose to see the similarities between things or the differences. No two things are exactly alike but there are many similarities between things. Artists/authors/poets make a living by making radical and bold comparisons between things that are seen as seperate by the general (and unimaginative) population.

"Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?" Is a famous example.

That's not what I'm saying. I think trans surgery and circumcision do have some similarities that one can point out and there are also differences. 

We choose what similarities and differences we pay attention too. Leo's video "sameness vs difference" has a similar message.

Every argument or conversation boils down too this principle: people agreeing or disagreeing on how similar or how different two things are. They do this often without realizing that it can't be resolved completely due to the paradoxes that occur when trying to categorize things. Two bananas have as many similarities to each other as they do differences. Circumcision and trans surgery have many similarities and also differences. Israelis and Palestinians have a lot of similarities and also a lot of differences. Less conscious people spend their time arguing these differences.

There's no paradox. They are quiet different things. It's not a serious comparison.

Besides, I don't think it's the argument you would want to make if you support trans surgery for kids, as circumcision is a highly conformist and unnecessary.
