Leo, what systems do you use to organize and prioritize your work?

Why use that over Obsidian?

Because I don't want a bunch of complexity. I want notes and writing to be a simple and easy as possible.

@Pineal
I used OneNote, then Notion and now switched to Obsidian, I am still working on integrating both, and I used OneNote heavily, but I did not have a tablet to make the best use of it during studies, as you can take a lot of good notes drawing, and using learning techniques, but the university was just starting to digitalize their whole cs programm, and I found it annoying how they designed certain entry fields in order to do linear algebra, I did most of it by hand, and had good results, when I just toke notes on pen&paper, but tbh I am tall and it's annoying to sit in these tiny desks, I would've prefered a good tablet, from Samsung minimum with a good pen, a friend of mine who wrote 0.7 (above 4.0 GPA here it owuld be 4.3 GPA or smth) grades, used also a tablet and had a lot of sleepless nights, but tbh, he was a 1w9 person, so this guy is practically forced to do perfection, and just turned corrupt as soon as he hit the companies, there was a lack of moral intelligence, based on what he was capeable of, but most students are not capeable of what he did, and he was to much involved into psychology, where it was an issue, to deal with him, and I lacked parts of the skillset he built, as I was more involved in Human-Computer-Interaction & Android programming mostly, and took some lectures on A.I during my bs.c, I worked as a software architect briefly for a year on projects as a working student, and with a "famous" scientist, I used Notion to take notes, they all enjoyed this, but focusing on obsidian and latex involved I prefer that complexity as of now, idk if I will ever do that again, as I just learned more basic maths, and a lot of unneccessary stuff moved in, so I am stuck with a bs.c instead of a ms.c from a "wannabe elite university" with a few gifted people,

Notion has enough simplicity and complexity to handle most tasks, Obsidian imo is a hell to setup, but the right kind of hell that I need, idk the product that leo recommends, but it seems simple enough to do excellent work, and that is an issue I had with claude lectures etc. generally I peaked ahead quiet far, but idk what will happen ultimately, as you were forced to design the whole product and advance Cloude coding itself, but they lacked moral intelligence heavily, it was an NGO, and they were all competing for research time in mathemtics with NLP, till a new genius hit, these changes just came over and over again, it was very annoying to deal with it.

I find OneNote unneccesary if you don't have an excellent tablet, or you can take notes on tablets with advanced mind-mapping techniques, such as presented by Justing Sung, with Notion, I was able to build a lot of structure for projects and systems-in-systems thinking, but I practically burned out maintaining that system, I used physical calendars.

If you're into A.I and you code etc. I would get used to using Notion, Co-Pilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Grok eventually (I did not use that one for art, but I tested it a lot for private purposes which includes A.I & sex, yes unfortunately I am guy 2 let u know), I tested DeepSeek also, but for general purposes I just use ChatGPT it was the best for science questions, and can be integrated, also to work with google, as I also worked with google during student projects (which are hell, but google made it very easy mostly the resistance of students was hell, besides the 1 or 2),

Notion is by far the best way to get started to build structure & notes, and have a bit of complexity and functionality, also a lot of peers seemed impressed, and that was quiet the experience, but with OneNote I could take better notes for private courses and book reading, but I lost most of it, due to synchronization issues with OneDrive and my own private stuff, I would still just recommend notion, I finally recovered it, idk I fix some stuff intuitively I can't tell what I am doing at times.

Obsidian is awesome so far, I installed exaclidraw to draw with my mouse, and latex also if I ever do something mathematical again, as we had to model some equations to solve novel tasks in unsupervised learning, with someone who invented an algorithm for unsuperivsed learning, and that was very interesting, the professor also was white and had black family, I tortured him a bit :D or quiet a bit, I faced so many haters for my path in private it was insane)

Anyhow these are my two cents, Notion is the best for structure & disicipline, but lacks a bit of note taking abillity, as everything is quiet logical, and I just took bullet pointed notes, and paying for the A.I service with all of it is annoying, I used also Co-Pilot and a custom A.I from the largest car auditing company in Germany, and that was also just stupid from my POV, as microsoft had little creative capacity to solve anything more intuitively, and what I did in notion outclassed what they were trying to do with microsoft from my POV, but using Co-Pilot and basic microsoft also has enough usage to get most work done, but I had to test their coding abillity with some PowerAutomate and Automations, where coding in the language itself would've done more good, as it was partially just the point of using internal assets to generate income for the company & save ressources.

There is more I could say, but I can't recall everything, eventually this is interesting, I stick to Obsidian now as it has more free features and using Notion in addition, with ChatGPT & Grok/Claude in the future, especially Grok to update the visionboard from leo and animate some stuff I generate, and ChatGPT Plus is basically a must have as a student imo, using Gemini also for coding, it creates to much analytical structure and using ChatGPT, I clearly had some breakthroughs and I could work more closely with the professor as Gemini is just creating structure, and I did not fully test that one yet besides working directly within Android, but it had no use to me besides fishing for scientific knowledge, where ChatGPT left more options for equanimity prompting, that I learned from a retreat, and it was good feeding that into the neural network, also to understand myself more.

Eventually for the entire nebulsity point, yes I just switched to Obsidian, and accepted the chaos, it was a horror, partially, anyhow might be interesteing as an experience but a lot of text.

Anyhow, I am not nearly close done to what I yearned to create, but at least my notion is now working again..., I had to constantly update everything in order for it to work properly, and not just stick to old systems, this also caused issues in a start-up where the more novel & advanced people left, as they had to upgrade the old technology etc. it was odd, I worked from translating Java to Kotlin during that time etc. Anyhow I am not a great coder, just smart.
