Pattern recognition without a propre epistemic foundation, leads to false interpretation of the observed patterns, which happens unconsciously, which then results in all sorts of stuff like spiritual woo and "vibration" bs, personalized and self centered universe, most conspiracy theories, meaning inflation from randomness like numerology, "Everything happens for a reason" and "signs from the universe" thinking, Synchronicity....

Basically when you see a smart person engaging in those things, and you feel surprised, it's probably because of how they interpret some patterns, and they mistake that for intuition.
