Music & Videos are imaginary

Had an insight today while walking by some golfers. I overheard the song Billy Jean by Michael Jackson. I realized in that instance, that music is imaginary. Music is the past. It isn’t present. Michael Jackson is dead. And that recording is a moment of the past that I am imagining now. Even the idea of me having an insight from walking by golfers is imaginary.

All of Leo’s videos are not actually about the present moment. They are all about the past, the imaginary. You are listening to the past not the present. This goes even deeper because even the conversations you have with your mom are about the past. You are imagining the conversation in the same way you think you are listening to Michael Jackson. Michael Jackson is dead, but our technology to record in a way merges the past and present together. Without video/audio recorders and a mind to imagine, the past would purely be nonexistent and disconnected to the present. Our technology and the mind to imagine makes the past present.

interesting. I think the recording existing actually proves the past is not imaginary but real .  The past is never lost forever. There is a cosmic memory card where everything is stored .

That is one way to look at it. The recordings and our minds are what keep the past “alive”. Otherwise, the past would be identical to the future (non-existent) or would be like pre-birth. Listening to Taylor Swift is like looking up at the stars. The stars you are seeing actually don’t exist and have burned up years ago. We are seeing the past.

Yes , exactly. That IS what I’m saying . The recording of a song proves that the song is not nonexistent, or lost in the past forever. It exists right now. And it will never get lost forever . Nothing is ever lost . Where would anything go ? There is no where to go, so it stays eternally existing, whether recrodid or not .

Yes!  

Look at all the murders we have solved because of the technology. So much of the past is revealed. The technology didn’t just let us create cool videos, it unlocked time. The past isn’t just imagination but is a direct experience we are seeing. The past and present are one when we look at the videos of JFK. Of course, it isn’t the same.
